Quinn Diogenes Burnett was born on 08/13/2008 - 5 weeks before his due date!

Mom`s water broke at 2:30 am, and she still had no contractions when she arrived at the hospital at 5:30am. Labor was induced with Pitocin, and active labor began shortly after noon. Quinn arrived at 6:08 pm. Mom had requested an epidural, but the epidural team was performing an emergency C-section and Quinn wasn`t about to wait for them :) Mom required a few stiches, but in hindsight, labor pain wasn`t that bad!

If you had asked me at the time, however, you`d have gotten a very different answer hehehe. But the minute he was born - literally the very minute, all the pain was gone and euphoria set in!

A very healthy and happy 6 lbs 13.7 ozs and 20.25 inches long, he certainly doesn`t fit the bill for a premie! Mom and Dad think he was just ripe early :)

After spending 24 hours under observation in the Neonatal ICU, and another 24 hours under observation in the Special Care Nursery, Quinn is now home with MOm and Dad and doing VERY very well!

I had that same issue, turns out that I detached my muscle from my ribs. Had to have my chiropractor put it back together. It was sore for days but now I'm being very careful because it hurt. You may ask your doctor if that is what you did. If so, they can reattach it, it will hurt like you know what but at least it will be attached again. Good luck.

I'm 37 with an 11 year old son. I know what you mean about not being a spring chicken. I sure am feeling it about now. i know that I have one child but the anxiety is still there for this new one on the way.
