Labor Prediction

Get your bags packed early just in case you need them. Make sure your partner has a phone available when he's away because this baby just might come early. We predict your baby will come 2-3 weeks early. Your baby will most likely be born in the morning. Wohoo Being induced Tuesday Morning!!

My Baby Boy was born January 9th @ 8:26 am!

Still deciding on a name, I will post the birth story soon.

Birth Story.

I went to the hospital to be induced January 8th, The inserted gel @ 10 am. Instead of being able to go home with the gel, I was admitted due to my blood pressure being high. I had to wait 6 hours to see if the gel worked at all, The gel only gave me mild cramps. The first injection did nothing, I got another injection @ 4 pm. Instead of checking me again @ 10 pm the nurse told me to go to sleep and they would continue in the morning. @ 4 am my water broke, I still only had cramps. The nurse said let me know when the cramps get uncomfortable and I will move you to labour and delivery. We moved to Labour and delivery @ 630 am. We waited in the room for a bit, Shift change I guess. The nurse that was almost off just listened to the baby and felt my contractions for a bit. When the new nurse came in My mom said lets get the IV in and make her comfortable then you can check the cervix. The IV took awhile I hate needles and my veins were not cooperating. The doctor came in to give me a epidural @ 8 am. The nurse checked me I was 4 cm. Then she moved to insert the cafiter But she didnt get a chance to put it in. Everything else Happenned so fast! First I threw up, The nurse said what the heck? My blood pressure was 50/70. She pushed The machine to take it again! Then the babies heart rate fell, I hated that sound, Instead of the normal heart rate it was Bump....................................Bump.................................Bump. The nurse called out asking for more doctors and nurses. Quite a few people came into my room. While the nurse was explaining to them what happened? The Doctor cut her off and just said How Long? The nurse said 4 minutes. The doctor said Lets Go! They all started grabbing and unhooking stuff and we were running down the hallway. The c-section was ok, They had people at my head talking to me the whole time! Then someone came beside me and kissed me! I was like, What the heck? Who are you? I didnt recognise my mom in her scrubs lol. Joshua was born screaming at 826 am. 26 minutes after the epidural went in! He was fine as soon as he was out. Afterwards my Mom said to the nurse, It was the epidural eh? The nurse said no! My mom said yeah right! The nurse said the doctor said the cord probably squeezed him lol. My mom said yeah right. All this happened to close to the epidural to make her think otherwise. One possible side effect of the epi is low blood pressure. She told me later that they never really know what makes a baby go into distress! But they blamed the cord 20 years ago when I had a emergency c-section with Your brother after having a epidural lol
