Hello everyone! I am so excited to be a part of this website because it means I'm pregnant! I was pregnant with my first last year and lost the fetus at nine weeks in Dec. 07. We've been trying to get pregnant since and we succeeded with a little help from a drug called clomid. We're VERY excited, but of course a little nervous. Please keep us in your prayers and wish us luck! First ultrasound scheduled for December 6th.

1/4/08 - Had our first ultrasound a couple of weeks ago (nine weeks) and it was amazing! We saw the little heart beating and we're able to hear it - 171 bpm! It was very different from our first pregnancy and ultrasound. That time we didn't hear a heartbeat and found out that I had to terminate the pregnancy. The tech even said she saw it move a couple of times, although my husband and I couldn't tell. Can't wait until my next appointment on the 9th so I can make sure it's still ok (our doctor does an ultrasound at every appointment). Then I will feel like I can finally relax because we are in the second trimester and the risk of miscarriage goes down a ton. Won't find out what the sex is until 18 weeks and I'm DYING to know! I don't care too much what it is (ok, I'm lying, I really want a girl) but I'll be happy with whatever it is as long as it's healthy. However, I'm not letting myself get anything for it until I know the sex and I want to start spoiling it already. Also, I want to be able to feel it to give myself some reassurance. Oh well, at least my horrible morning sickness is starting to subside so I can really start to enjoy pregnancy now. Congrats to everyone who has made it this far!

1/15/08 - Didn't get to have an ultrasound at my 14 week appointment :( However, I got to hear the heartbeat again which was wonderful - 151 bpm, so I know the baby is still alive. Less than 4 weeks until we find out the baby's sex (February 4th)! Was feeling great during week 13, but had some setbacks in week 14. Wondering if it's due to the prenatals, because I discovered I was taking only half as much as I should have been taking the whole time, so I've upped my dosage. Tried not taking them for a couple of days and felt better, but then felt guilty so I'm back on them again. Also had very bad migraine yesterday and some traces of it today (never had migraines before). Hate waking up three times a night - twice to pee and once when my husband gets up to get ready but I guess I better get used to having interrupted sleep! Swear I'm peeing much more now than in 1st trimester but I think it's because I'm drinking A LOT more now since I couldn't tolerate much in my first trimester. Feeling just as tired as I was in 1st trimester so far. Hopefully will get more energy soon, but I'm not complaining if the nausea is much better.

I itch to the point of agony. It started with my stomach and then moved to my armpits and inner thighs and now it is everywhere. I am so miserable. My midwife recommeded benedryl cream which works ok but doesn't last very long. I am going to try an oatmeal bath today. Hopefully it will work

Thank you, that will definitely help! I'm going to look for a bassinet on-line, today. I'll also opt for the less fancy pack 'n play. Good to know about the change tables and bouncy seat! Thanks again!

I took a fall last week... in the doctors office of all places. I caught myself, the belly didn't touch the floor at all. My doctor wasn't concerned since she saw me fall but she said to take it very seriously... if anything felt different or I didn't feel the normal movements to go to L&D. She said if it had of been a bad fall, she would have sent me straight over. Definitely tell your doctor today.

ricamaan is right. she is trying to have something in common with you, talk about something she knows nothing about and all she knows is what she has seen from her mom, and she is doing it in a language/culture she is unfamilar with.

Don't worry, the Taiwanese girl isn't trying to be mean she does not know how to communicate with someone who is older than her. She is trying to talk about things as well as SHE knows them. Remind her that everyone is different. If she continues to be annoying she might just be bipolar or something. good luck.

Lol - yes, I know - I am quite small for how far along I am. I have gained nearly 30 pounds already, though, and the baby is growing as it should, so I guess being tall and having a long waist just keeps things stretched out. She actually likes to lie square in my belly, if you can believe it - at 32 weeks! :)

LOL Your post made me laugh, but it's so true!!! My doc let me take home a bunch of cups so I can do it at home

McAng, I see that exercise works for you as well! I have a very weak back, and have had very bad pain during this pregnancy. But as soon as I started to do something about it, and namely exercising – it went so much better!!! It really requires loads of commitment and persistency, but if the pain is the other choice I choose exercise! LOL Good luck with your pregnancy!
