Found out on October 22nd that I was 6 weeks pregnant. Definitely unexpected but very welcome!

On January 14th I found out that I'm having a BOY & his name is Brayden Joseph. Also found out that picking a name for your child is a little more difficult than I originally thought it was going to be.

My friends have all more or less ditched me since I found out. I know they say "you find out who your true friends are" but it's a little dissappointing when you realize that maybe you never had any true friends to begin with. Even my 'best friend' of 8 years doesn't even speak to me anymore. But I've accepted that fact now & I'm just glad I have my family there for me. :]

We don't know what we are having, which is nice for us, but it has annoyed my husbands other children. I like the fact there is still something to look forward to. When the doctor was finding out where the baby was the other day, I told them I wouldn't be looking at the screen and not to tell me if it was a boy or a girl. I think it is a boy, hubby thinks we have a girl, but either way, we are happy with either.
Where did you put your arms in the inversion? Did you hold them up with you hands next to your face, or lie them next to your head?

I'm do glad to hear he has turned! Wow over 8 pounds already. Maybe he will come early. I'm not even close. She is still way up there. I get an ultrasound on Tuesday though to make sure she has turned because my doctor isn't sure and I find out the weight then.

Ya the food sucks yuck!!!!!!!! How r u doing!!! I think its raining over here....

mumjac - Friday, 23 May
Well I spent 2 minutes on my hands and knees off the couch last night, then lay with my hips up on a beanbag (so I could drain my feet as well)for about 1.5 hours. Then later that night I spent 3 minutes stretching each side, on my knees and head on the floor, and the baby is lying head up still. Stubbon little thing. Must be a boy.
Then when I was in bed, I lay with a cushion doubled up under my hips to keep my body reclined backwards. My pelvis is so sore I can hardly walk, but I am determined to keep going.
Do you just lie your face on the floor, or do you place your arm underneath you to get that extra openess on each side? Still can't see the movie on the website.
Your help would be appreciated.

MumJac

I feel hungry!!! I'm still n hospital...

kippy - Thursday, 22 May
Well good luck. Hopefully he has turned. If he hasn't I wouldn't stress out too much about a c-section. I have 2 friends that had them and said for the first week it is sore but if you take it easy it heals a lot faster than you would think and they didn't mind having them at all. I hope all goes well:)

polingn - Thursday, 22 May
Yeah me either which is weird cuz i had it a week ago. Hopefully it's because we're getting close haha

Good Website, can't see the video though, I click on it and it just sits there, looking white. Will try it when I get home, could be a block on my access here at work.

Can't quite visualise how you are supposed to get you face on the ground from kneeling on the couch!!! Maybe if your are a contortionist?!?

Thanks
Jacqui

I also read some horror stories about the procedure and when I asked on the web site I got a couple of responses and one lady even said she knew somebody who had a perfect pregnancy until they had it done and then when the baby was born she was blue and has autism. I just don't think it is worth it. My mom said I was breech until delivery and then turned so there is still hope. I guess I would just rather have a c-section and know that our little girl will be okay. I just found out that she turned this last week though so there is still hope for you. Good luck.

Absolutely.

I am in the same boat. My baby just won't turn. I have talked to my doctor about going in and having the baby turned. It is a procedure where they give you medicine to relax the muscles and then try manipulating the baby into turning. I am still trying to decide though as it is said that it can be painful and stressful to the baby. If not, it looks like a c-section for me. The procedure is called ECV or external cephalic version. Good luck!!

Check out www.spinningbabies.com - it might help with moving the baby in the "right" direction. Good luck.

Thanks much. let me know what else you might learn. I am so sorry you fell. Are you in bed?

Hello. I just had my baby 8 weeks ago. He was breech until about 36 weeks. I had read a few articles to use a high power flashlight and shine it toward your lower belly. Supposedly the baby will see the light and move closer to in in interest. Also try "doing a push up with your feet in the air"... try www.spinningbabies.com. I hope that helps. and Good health to you and your baby.

I had to have an emergency c-section, and personally, I think I would have rather had some time to get my mind set right about it rather then to have been told a few minutes before it happened. Unlike me, you won't feel a thing...they had to start the incision on me before I was completely numb because my sons heart rate was dropping greatly. I don't remember much about it, just hearing my little guy cry for the first time and how amazing that is. The nurse pushing on your belly to get him out will probably be the most uncomfortable thing, but I'm sure it's nothing you can't handle. They will keep you well drugged for the pain for the first 24 hours or so, then will start to ween you off the drugs. It's better for the baby too if you plan on breastfeeding. Just take it easy and take all the help you can get. Don't rush anything. The recovery is a bit painful, but just keep looking at your little guy and it will make it all worth it!

they told me my boy was over 8 pounds and he came out at 6 pounds 8 ounces. They never really know until they come out! I was always measuring a month ahead also, he always measured about a week ahead of our due date.

Wear those stretchies proudly, we both earned each and every one of those nasty things! They will get better after a while, just keep lotioning up! Good luck and keep me posted on your little guy!

BrideAndAMommy - Monday, 19 May
Hi!! Thanks! So far I have been feeling great. No morning sickness just have been really tired all of the time :) How about you? You dont have too much longer now to wait!!

jen - Monday, 19 May
Holy cow girlie! I thought I had a big baby belly when I was preggo....maybe it's just your shirt! I had my son when I was as far along as you are now. Isn't it crazy how big you get? I never thought my tummy would stretch so far! I got stretchies at about 32 weeks....any on you?

*bree;; - Thursday, 15 May
hah i dunno :/ sounds weird

*bree;; - Thursday, 15 May
well hope he flips so you dont have to get a csection! lol

*bree;; - Wednesday, 14 May
he flipped?? lol. put a bag of ice or cold peas on the top of your belly. thats how my cousins baby flipped back. but since he flipped, that means you havent dropped! so if he gets back into position, when you drop, youre going to be sooo uncomfortable :/

*bree;; - Wednesday, 14 May
lol. i dont know where i read this cus i read all freakin day, but i read pressure is related to effacement. but im 50% effaced and i dont have that much pressure. i mean boys obviously give more pressure, so i have no idea. i know, my mom was like "omg youre in labor right now!" i was like..it was only 2 in a row..im fine. hahah. shes like psycho
