Yeah my hubby was a litle upset that I didn't get a more educational book, and I was like um yeah dear cause I'm not going to want to know what to avoid, whatever, every little bit helps and if I can avoid the mishaps in that book then I'll be doing pretty good I think!

Oh Lordy, I can't believe the MIL forum today, all these people going on about how we should be more understanding about the MIL and how she IS our husbands mother, and how she can be equal to us...GAG...if only they had a DAY in the house with my MIL...

Go get your vacuum, put the hose attachment on it and show the hubby how it'd feel for him to have something suckin on him a million times a day for a year!! that is just annoying that he did that, my hubby and I were all about formula last time but this time we both want to try the breastfeeding thing and while it's great for the baby I know that I kinda want it for the benefits to me at times ya know cause the weight didn't come off like I expected last time.
But there was one joke in my book that this guy was laying in bed with his baby while mama got dressed, baby was kinda cranky, so dad thinking it was just a comfort thing let baby latch on to him, then proceeded to freak out cause it hurt like hell and baby would not let go cause he was trying to get milk that would not come!!
I'm kinda scared cause can you imagine the pressure they'd have to exert to get the milk, ouch!!

Hey! I'm doing prett well. I have an appt today for yet, ANOTHER U/S. I have been experiencing pain in my left side and lower left abdomen, it is really difficult for me to even move. This has been happening since sunday morning when i woke up. It feels like a torn muscle. I'm not experiencing any bleeding or irregular discharge, so that is a good sign, plus Kevin is wiggling around as normal in there, so I know he is fine. The doctor is going to check me today and see what is going on, and they are going to do another U/S to check ont he baby, and to check if there is anything wrong. I was really worried at first, but since Kevin is moving around like he normaly does, it put my mind at ease. :) How have you been doing?

I got a book with the breast feeding jokes in at well although i do plan on BFing, but I would say you can read through some of the jokes, trust me some are hilarious and then just be glad that it is not going to happen to you ya know, kinda like a thank god this isn't your life deal, you'd be surprised how funny they can be, it'll lift your spirits for sure. I'm sure he only got it for the giggle factor not to make you feel bad.
Now if he had gotten you like the breastfeeding for dummies then you can throw that one at him! But this one should be funny for you.

I just cant stand MIL!! I really don't forsee that ever changing, and I really don't care! Its horrible that she treats me this way, but really I get more mad because of the way she tries to manipulate my husband and she just blatently does him wrong. Seriously, even the pizza guy from Dominoes mentioned how my husband must hate his mom, because he sees the ex's car at her house all the time! It's a shame we have to put up with MIL's!! I feel for you too, believe me! We have the perfect example of what kind of MIL we will never be!

That's funny, I am in the same scenario. My husband is not able to get off work to come to the U/S. At least he was with me for my first one. My mom is going to be there with me, she has to drive 1.5 hours to get to me. But i am really glad she will be there to find out the sex of my baby with me!
