My name is Melisa and I have 2 beautiful boys. Just found out I am expecting another bundle of joy. My due date is July 28, 2008. I am very nervous because my history with pregnancy is not good. This is my 6th pregnancy and only have 2 boys to date to show for it.

I found out yesterday that I am having a girl. I am so excited! I love my boys but a girl will be a nice change of pace. I didn't plan on having any more children but I am glad God has blessed me with 1 more. I guess retirement will have to be put off for a while longer :) I cannot even begin to explain the joy I am feeling. I never thought I would get to have a girl and watch her grow up to fall in love and get married. My boys will be great defenders of their little sister, that I am sure of. They are great protectors of their mother! My 2 year old will yell at my husband if I cry, he thinks daddy made mommy cry! If he only knew about hormones!!! Oh well, I am truly happy at this very moment.

i figure its gonna go pretty slow with me being its my first. everyone says ill go over. i was very suprised to hear i was dialted and effaced and i think im beginning to lose my plug but there is still a lot of time till due date and i am pretty nervous.

Hi, My iron levels are as high as the first test for iron I had done so that is good and they are keeping an eye on my sugar levels although my blood work is great but my urine is crap always has 4**** sugar in it, ooops, they say my kidneys are just leaking sugar. I have to say in the whole of 7 months to have one day where I feel that bad so I can't complain really.

You need to pick your lightest child up over your bump that is how my first got low and I dropped then 1 day later bang labor woo hoo. I have to say I am very frightened about labor, I have been thinking about a home birth so I watched some videos on youtube and I am so scared now. I am deffinately going for hospital and having as much gas and air as possible.tc

I get that from my parents because my DH has a good job etc and I am the strong one everything kind of goes to my brother the baby of the family, so it doesn't bother me anymore, if I was there you would have had yours already. You can have it all it is just I live in the UK and not as rich as I would like to be *hugs* Hope you are well, have a good one and keep me posted and let me know how it goes with picking your lightest child up *hugs* xoxoxoxoxoxox

thanks for ur reply.. a few weeks ago another doc told me she was gonna slow down then this week a doc tells me to count i generally dont worry cuz i do feel her move everyday just wrried me that when i actually tried the whole counting thing she didnt seem to respond well haha i think shes just lazy like i am and hopefully not too much longer im 1 cm and 50 % effaced how are u doing

You have the same time for your c-section as I do as well! Although I don't like the idea of being at the hospital for 5:30 in the morning, it will be nice to have the doctor 'fresh' in the morning...my Fil is a nurse and shifts start at 7:00am. Also that means going hungry will be easier! My last c-section didn't happen until 7:00pm, and by then I was starving and queasy from not having eaten all day,(not to mention being in labor!). I have to go in for pre-op next Wednesday as well...I'm still kind of in shock that my little guy will be here so soon. Keep me posted on your progress!

So, I was given a date for my c-section . Barring William staying head down long enough to start dilating/effacing me, I will have him on July22nd. He doesn't seem inclined to stay in one place...at my appt. today he was breech...again! They were really nice about it though, knowing that I'm still hoping for a VBAC. They said the day I go in for the section, they will do a quick ultrasound to check his position, and check me for dilation/effacement, and if looks promising, they will cancel the c-section. I had to book something now though if I wanted my primary OB to do the surgery, otherwise it could have ended up being whoever was around the day I needed it done. I definitely don't want that, because 1 of the doc's in the office is a jerk, so I KNOW I don't want him touching me again!

I fell asleep today and have asked DH to come home and help me with the kids I have as I now have a blinding headache for sleeping. I am so struggling to get up in the mornings but getting there. Moomommy had her baby boy on the 1st July I am so happy for her. I can't believe the first time I fell pregnant I was due the same time as you! I hope you get there soon. I am not going to the in-laws this weekend it is next weekend I have lost the plot totally lol. Let me know how you get on at the doctors, I hope all goes well. 2 weeks wow that is so soon, I am so excited for you believe me it will go quicker than what you think. Hi sweetie, how are you doing today? I do enjoy a glass of milk before I go to bed and it is helpful for the heartburn.

How are the contractions going? I hope you are well, i am so tired and I have had such a blinking nightmare and not coping with work very well I have to say and college is just not happening at the moment, I am so bloody tired. I think I need to take things slowly from now on. I have been to the doctor this morning as I have another infection and i am waiting for the results. I might be going up north this weekend to see the in laws I am not sure see how I feel. i hope you are well and keep me posted *hugs* xxxx

I don't notice anything unusual right after sex. I went to the dr thursday before last and my cervix was hard and closed. I read that cemen has something in it to soften the cervix. So he's been releasing himself inside of me for a week now. It may not be what's made me dialate, but I think so

That's sad that your SIL is acting that way. You can't help it's a girl. She should be happy for you. And what's with you ruining her pregnancy? I found out in my 5th month that my SIL was 3 months along, and I was happy for her. The world isn't set up for 1 baby at a time. You both have ovaries and are entitled to babies whenever you want! She seems jealous, perhaps unhappy with herself. Anyways, do whats best for your baby...not her! LOL not that I need to tell you that! But if it's going to be the 22nd, than the 22nd it is! Good luck!

I haven't thought about getting 'checked' yet, since it has only been a couple of hours. I think if I still don't feel right at bed time, I might see if I can find my cervix during my nighttime shower to check it myself (I know what I'm doing in that dept., so no worries about hurting myself). I'll be sure to let you know what I find!

Hello babe, well have you not popped your little girl yet, i was thinking you were mailing me to tell me all had gone well! I am pleased you are doing well and the circles go eventually when they sleep through the night lol. The back ache though I have to say isn't funny and can get you down a lot. The being a b**ch comes all so naturally especially with hot weather too, don't worry about that you will have another year of it lol but do not worry only true friends stick by you when this happens.

I am doing well, although I had my first night of hardly any sleep due to heartburn I felt I could breath flames it was that intense and painful but it has settled down now and I am just left feeling so tired. My DH has worked 13 hours a day all weekend and it has got me down but it is his job working on the roads and he has time limits too. My mum had the kids for me last night I was so shocked by it I have to say but I felt so alone and the noises in the house were louder too it was weird and empty.

I have had to take on 2 more children part time as we are kind of struggling and I have explained that I won;t be doing much with the children but it is either that or find alternative childcare so I haven't lost anyone and they are supportive. Sex is so uncomfortable and so is sitting and lying and I have another 13 weeks of this, you are so close and not long now. Ar3 you having any BH or contractions? I hope you are well and your weekend was a good one biggest *hugs* Kat xoxoxoxox

Yeah, I have a maternity swimsuit from old navy, and it's cute and all, but now my belly hangs out the bottom and there is NO support for my DD boobs, they just rest on my belly! So last week, I just wore a black bathing suit bottom, a black bra, and a maternity tank top and noone knew the difference!

I saw your comment about back pain and I'm right there with ya. Someone had mentioned that swimming is helpful and I also have found it to be bliss. Just be careful to stay out of the sun as much as possible because it could suck the life out of you!

Yeah!!! Yes, he did an internal exam and goes, "Oh yep, that's the baby's head" (because I was worried about the baby being breech). So, looks like all is good. I'm also 60% effaced. But, no dilation, so who knows when he'll come. I'm hoping for sometime about the 16th. That'd be nice!! But, it's probably too much to ask for the little guy to be a week and a half early. I'm not that lucky! How are you feeling?? You're lucky that you have a set date!!

It's hard to still work but my job is not too strenuous. Only one more day until my 10 day vacation...whoo hoo!!! It would be nice to have this baby at the end of next week. Then my vacation would turn into a 7 week one...lol. Oh well, I don't really see it happening. I go back to the doctor on Monday and if nothing is happening by then, I am going to take my kids to the zoo. Maybe all that walking will stimulate something!

Well, no action at the doctor...lol! Cervix is still closed. I had the Strep B test done. He told me that I could be induced at 39 weeks if I haven't went into labor yet. I took my vacation at work next week and then I hope I will go into labor the week after that. I really want to be done with work already!!
