My name is Melisa and I have 2 beautiful boys. Just found out I am expecting another bundle of joy. My due date is July 28, 2008. I am very nervous because my history with pregnancy is not good. This is my 6th pregnancy and only have 2 boys to date to show for it.

I found out yesterday that I am having a girl. I am so excited! I love my boys but a girl will be a nice change of pace. I didn't plan on having any more children but I am glad God has blessed me with 1 more. I guess retirement will have to be put off for a while longer :) I cannot even begin to explain the joy I am feeling. I never thought I would get to have a girl and watch her grow up to fall in love and get married. My boys will be great defenders of their little sister, that I am sure of. They are great protectors of their mother! My 2 year old will yell at my husband if I cry, he thinks daddy made mommy cry! If he only knew about hormones!!! Oh well, I am truly happy at this very moment.

You might actually have a blood clot in your leg. Check out this website and see if it sounds like you! If it does, go to the emergency room or call your doctor ASAP.

Tanning beds don't work from the inside out. That was proven false with studies. That was an assumption with no evidence or studies to back it up(that's what I was told as a kid, and I think that's about the time they became popular). Tanning bed rays can not reach any deeper within you than the sun can, But they are beneficial to you, just like the sun, you get vitamin D from the exposure and that is vital to our health. People do not get enough vitamin D now days from time in the sun and tanning beds are an alternative. The truth is that sunscreen causes cancer, there are more african americans in america with skin cancer when their relatives in native africa and other places have significantly lower skin cancer rates. Sunscreen causes skin-cancer. My doc said it was fine and I looked it up and studied about it before I made any decisions. Good luck with your pregnancy!!

you are lucky to have your baby's bed set up. We have nothing yet. We ar emoving in a month so I cant really start the nursery! And my showers aren't til June, so I feel like I wont ever get to start the nursery!

Hi Melissa, I read your question about vericose veins. I developed one with my first pregnancy... this vein all the sudden popped out on my left leg (calve), it swells up... then the further along I get in the pregnancy, I develop these purply-bluey-blacky spots about the size of toonies all down my calve and unto my foot. It looks awful! But as soon as the baby comes out, it all clears up - the vein doesn't swell out anymore etc. Now when it first happened, the doc of course, ordered an ultrasound of my leg to check for clots etc.. but all turned out fine. They told me the baby is laying on the main vein in my leg, cause the blood to slow, which in turn is causing all this nastiness. So hope this helps :) (This is my third, and the darn thing comes back EVERY pregnancy!! lol.)

Sorry, didn't mean to freak you out. I just want other women to know this does happen before they do give birth to a different gender than what they were told. It happens more and more, and lots of my friends were told one gender, and born the opposite. It happens all the time. I try not to get hung up on the gender, and just want a healthy baby, but on the other hand want to be able to plan and buy things. Lots of pink baby dust your way for May 5th.

I'm doing really well.....expanding nicely!! Enjoying the gorgeous spring weather!! I'm totally at the point where i'm ready to go on Maternity leave.....I got all my nursery furniture last week and built the Dresser/Chest Tower combo this weekend....noly have the crib and the glider with ottoman to go.....then it's time to pick out the bedding and do the finishing touches on the nursery!! i'm excited!!

Sorry you're stressed out!! but think....you're almost done the semester then you can sit back and relax and just focus on baby and you....okay and the rest of the family but at least not school!!! When is it all over?? Plan an end of the semester celebration so you have something to look forward to....and start going for your prenatal massages and a pedicure...always helps me to relax!!

Do not talk to me about college I ams struggling like hell at the moment and with everything else it is like when and where am I going to have the time to fit everything in, crap it is so hard at the moment, but I am sure I will get there, just can't see it at the moment.
If I am honest too I must say I really feel 40 not nearly 30, and feel this pregnancy has put years on me I feel so old lol. I hope you do get to see the Wiggles it really was an experience. I have an interview today with social services about looking after disabled adults, then my youngest has a dentist appointment as she banged her top teeth twice and they have gone black as black, so i think she has damaged the nerves and this is her first trip to the dentist so I am so hoping with a lot of blackmail she will be good.
I am feeling so exhausted right now and feel I could sleep for a week and really that is all I want to do, but you just get on with things though don't we really? lol. I hope you are still doing well and do not worry it will be July so soon one blink and it will be here, 3 months away my goodness I can't believe that wow time has blinking flown by hey lol. Hi sweetie, I am glad you got time to look through the photo's my kids love the wiggles and my lens was too close and I paniced so by the time I took the photo my little on had run away lol. They are showing in the UK again in June, do you have the come visit America? I must say the do look a hell of lot older up close it was like they had aged 20 years lol, but I will say this about them the made everybody feel special and it was amazing.
I am doing well pregnancy wise just the occasional stitch on the right side but that is good right? Emotionally I am a wreck which I know has something to do with hormones and pregnancy but my Nan died yesterday afternoon and it has hit me hard, then found out my DH auntie died 2 days ago but we just found out and to be honest it is a lot to take in and I am trying to stay calm I have not told my eldest as she died on her birthday and she is also going away with the school for 5 days and she will miss the funeral too, but if I was to tell her he would not want to go on holiday as she doesn't want to leave us anyway. I hope you are well ands you look more glowing every time I see your picture biggest *hugs*

im doing the pump right off the bat along with straight from the boob, but its the whole breast milk thing..i dunno..seems a little old to me. my friends baby is almost 4 months, and i cant imagine a baby that big/old eating breast milk :/
