Hey Everyone! After months of reading everyones comments I decided to join. I think I was a little worried things may go wrong. But yesterday, my husband and I had our first ultrasound, and we found out we are having a BOY!!! They said everything looks great, so I think that was reassuring, and Im not so worried. This will be our first child, and though we were not planning for one yet, I dont think we could be anymore excited.

I had a really great time. It was a small, imtimate type, and I met some more of Jason's family. Jason ended up hanging around, because all the older men kicked him out of what they were going to do. haha. But Im glad he was there. Especially since its the weekend, I love to get as much time with him as possible. Gifts!! Well, we got stuff from our registry which was great. Our house is soon going to be full of baby stuff. Its all coming along so fast. Baby shower number 2 next weekend!!!Tuesday, 8 AprToday I had my 33 week doctor appt. The appointment went well, Cohen's heartbeat sounded great and my measurement was right on track. And I only gained another 3 pounds!! So that is a total of 17 pounds. But i know there will be a week when I gain a whole lot more than 1 pound a week. One thing that kind of upset me though was Im still having too much sugar in my urine, even though I passed my glucose test. So, the Dr. made me take another blood sample. Which is fine. I would rather be safe then find out Cohen was in need of something when he got here. Less than 7 weeks to go!!!Sunday, 13 AprToday I had my second baby shower. This time is was thrown by my family. I had so much fun. It helped that my cousin got married on Friday, so I got to see relatives I hadnt seen in probably years! Today we got some neccessities which was great. Only 1 more shower to go, which is next week. I hope we get a lot of things that we need.Monday, 21 AprilThis weekend was a whirlwind!! Saturday my hubby and I put together the crib. And I absolutely love it!!! Now we need a mattress so we can complete the look. I cant wait until it is all complete. Then Sunday I had my third and final baby shower. It was a bit overwhelming with all the gifts we got. Not too much of it was from our registry, maybe 5%, but we got tons of clothes, which we know we need. Now its time to go out and get what really need before Cohen decides to join us! 5 weeks remaining!!Tuesday, 22 AprToday I had my 35 week appointment. It went really well. I gained another 3 pounds, which makes my total 20 pounds...not bad at all. Had my first pelvic exam, im not dilated nor effaced, but Cohen is in the right position, which I am extremely glad about. Now I got to the doctor every week until Cohen is here. Not too much longer now.Tuesday, 29 AprToday I had my 36 week appointment. I gained 2.5 lbs in one week!! But thats fine I suppose, its only 22.5 lbs total. I havent made an progress...so i dont think this baby will be coming early. sigh. I just cant wait to see him.Tuesday, 6 MayToday I had my 37 week checkup. I found out that I am almost 3 cm dilated!!! I am so excited because the past two time I have been 0 cm dilated. I thought I may be pregnant past my due date. But now there is hope that he will come sooner!! I really hope so, I cant wait to see his face! But there are still some things I need to get. I have to finish packing the babies bag and packing my hospital bag. I couldnt be more excited! I also only gained 2 pounds, which makes a total of 24.5 pounds. Im excited that I have been doing so well also.Tuesday, 13 MayToday I had my 38 week appointment. I am still shy of 3 cm and 50% effaced. I was hoping I would make it atleast another cm, but apparently not. The only good thing is I only gained a half a pound, which makes my total at 25 lbs. It doesnt seem this little man is going to come early like I was praying and may not come on his own. I think he's stubborn like his mom. So, the latest the Dr will let me go is May 31, so Im thinking thats going to be his birthday. Ahhh...Im so frustrated.Monday, 19 May1 week left until my due date! I am so excited to meet this little man. Last week was hard because at my dr's appt I had not made any progress from the week before, so I could see this baby was not going to come early. But after the sermon Sunday I have found peace with it and know that he will come when he is ready. He just may be a little bigger. haha.Well yesterday my husband and I took some pregnancy pictures together. I just used the tripod and took them at the house. They turned out pretty good, I am pleased. I think we will give them as a gift to our parents...well, one, definitely not all.And then today was my husbands first day with his new work hours. Instead of 8-5, he will be 7-4, and he works out in the morning before work, so he will be home by 4:30!! I am so stoked about that. It means Cohen and I will have more time with Daddy.Well, tomorrow is my next Dr.s appt, pray for good news!!Tuesday, 20 MayHad my 39 Week appt today. I am still just shy of 3 cm. Im thinking he's not going to come on his own and I will have to be induced. I guess there goes my desire to have a natural birthing experience. And now I weigh 166 pounds. Ouch. Ha. Atleast really, Ive only gained 27 pounds, and the way Ive been eating this past month, thats pretty good. If this little man doesnt come on his own, I have another dr's appt next wednesday and then I will be induced on that Friday. Now Im definitely playing the waiting game.Wednesday, 28 MayJust got back from my 40 week dr's appt. I am still the same and on top of that I gained another 3 pounds. Ahhh...I think its just water though, and definitely all baby. Well, my induction is scheduled for Friday at 6:45. I cant say that Im happy thats the route we have to go, but it will be nice not to be pregnant anymore and finally be able to hold my son. Maybe Ill just pray now that I go from 3cm to 10 cm in no longer than an hour, and then the baby will just slip right on out. ahaha. That would be nice. But the dr does think the baby will only be around 7 lbs, which is quite nice since I was 8 lbs 7 oz. At least there is an end in sight.

Friday, 11 Jan

So, on Monday we had our first ultrasound and found out it was a boy! For the longest time I felt it was a girl, but then the closer I got to the u/s date, the more I felt like it was a boy, and it was! He is 7 inches long and weighs 12 ounces. I `m thinking I may have a big baby since both my husband and I were 8 something when we were born. We shall see. Also, last night while we were watching some tv, Cohen was moving around so much, so I looked down at my tummy and you could see him move!!! It was the coolest and weirdest thing ever. So, tonight I `ve been watching to see, and every so often you can! It makes it more real every time. I LOVE it!!!!

I had my 24 week appointment on Monday. I have gained 7 pounds in just 4 weeks, but my stomach has also grown a lot since then. So, I have only gaines a total of 11 pounds. We heard the heart beat and our little man is doing well. Although the Dr said I had some sugar in my urine, which can be a concern for gestational diabetes. It doesnt run in my family and I live and active healthy lifestyle, so Im not sure whats up. But Im trying not to worry about it till the glucose test in 3 weeks.

Tuesday, 26 Feb

Today I had another doctor `s appt. I had to go in for the glucose test and a regular check up. The drink wasnt so bad, but im definitely not use to sugary drinks. Met with the Dr., havent gained any weight in 3 weeks, but at the last dr. `s appt i had gained 7, so I am not worried. A total of 11 pounds. The baby is doing excellent, his heart rate is in the 150 `s. The dr. said everything is where it should be. Im really excited!! Today `s appt really reassured everything for me. I know now I am doing what I should be.We also started our Childbirth classes last night. Out of 15 couples, I am the only one planning on having a natural birth. I figured there would be atleast a couples more. I guess women really are afraid of the paing and epidurals are on the rise. None the less, I still plan for a natural birth, unless medically necessary i need to take an alternative route.Three more months as of today!!

Well, Today I had another Doctor `s appointment. It went well, I gained 3 pounds in the last 3 weeks, so now I am up to 14 pounds. Im really excited about that...my family has a history of gaining weight with pregnancies. So, I have been extra coucious about what I eat and keeping up with my work out routine. I also found out I passed my glucose test, which I am also very excited about. And the baby is doing wonderful, he was head down this morning, but as we all know, they will continue to move around. We are finally starting the room, next week will be the recarpeting and painting of his room, and this weekend we are going with my in-laws to pick out the crib. We feel really blessed that they want to buy the crib for us. That saves us a lot of money we can put towards Cohen. Other than that I feel great!! I do though finally feel preggers, especially when i try to get up from lying down or try to fit in between things, forgetting I have a belly now. haha. Im so glad there is less than 10 weeks. I want to see my little boy!!

I am so excited!!! Today Jason and my mom painted Cohen `s room! And it looks so good. The carpet is being replaced on Thursday and soon we will have the furniture and rest of the bedding. It `s all becoming so much more real!!!! 9 weeks left!

Today we got the carpet installed in Cohen `s room!! It looks so good. I was a little scared at first because when it was outside in the driveway it looked like a gold color. But once it was in the house I was reassured it was the right color. I love that the room is coming along. I just cant wait to have all the furniture and decorations!!

I saw your post in breastfeeding. I believe it's formula fed babies that will generally poop less. It is common for breastfed babies to go days without pooping but I think its more expected for them to poop 4+ times a day. My baby girl is 5 weeks and she poops at least 4 times every day.

How did the inducement go? that is really nice that both of your families are in town. 2 weeks off that is awesome. I bet you are loving the time together. when does he go back to work? Mikes first day back at work was really tough for me and now I live for the weekends. I love the time at home with my son but enjoy the time as a family even more.

I know Mike loves being a dad and he is so excited about his first fathers day. do you have any plans for father's day? I may take Brayden to get his photo taken for Mike or I might make a calendar on kodak gallery. Not sure.

I need a nap every day. for the first few days I didn't want to sleep I wanted to be awake just in case. Now I sleep when he sleeps. He is up every 2 hrs during the night so I am not getting much sleep. How about you - how often are you getting up during the night.

Next week I am going to get back to the gym. 30 min of light exercise every day is my goal. My mom will be here so I am going to try to go during is noon nap. I bought a csection recovery work out but it is lame. It is just some breathing exercises like I have time for that.

Congrats girl I see you had the baby. Are you home from the hospital? Do you have family over helping out? How is it going so far?

things are good here. I am tired and don't have much time to get online but am enjoying time with Brayden. I recovered well from the csection and was up and walking around with little pain after 5 days. Hope all is well with you and the new family.

Well I can say one good thing about being so busy is I am not bored. Truthfully I wouldn't mind be pregnant for a few more weeks (how strange is that). Well it is my birthday this weekend so we are going to finish cleaning on Friday and then are going to the movies Sat afternoon and to the Melting Pot Sat evening. Sunday we have church breakfast and then RELAX and do nothing. I am so excited only one more day to get through!! Well I hope you guys have a great weekend. Let me know if you have any signs of labor.

Oh that is frustrating. I have the csection scheduled on tuesday at 8am. we just had our last appt today. I am so busy trying to finish work I haven't been able to think about it. Tomorow is my last day. THANK GOD but I have a bit to get completed before then. My girlfriend just had her baby one day past her due date and she stalled like that at 38 weeks but eventually they come out. When is your next appt. Will they decide about inducement at that time? What are you guys up to this weekend?

That stuff totally grosses MIke out - we watch baby story and he laughs each time a dad peaks over the blue curtain. They usually look like they are going to faint.

Wow 3cm! That is awesome. I wasn't dilated at all at my last visit! Even though I have to have the csection they still check (I wonder why now that I think about it). Wow so you may have the baby this weekend. Are you having contractions? Isn't if funny how everyones labor progresses so differently.

I would prefer a surprise - we had been watching it all along and had a small chance I could have a regular delivery. I would love to see how my husband would react if/when my water broke - and see him drive to the hospital with me puffing away and screaming at him. Oh well we will just have a different experience.

Well the exercise video is more for after the baby comes so I haven't tried it yet. I got it because it is good for csection or regular delivery. I also want to order a Post Natal Boot Camp one (can't remember the full name) it was out of stock on amazon the day I made my order. I have been walking almost every day though so I am feeling a lot better. I just hated not having any activity at all.

Hey girl - yep I had my u/s today everything looks good his head is right on the fibroid so we have to do the csection no way around it. The exit has a road block is the way I think abou it. He is measuring 7lbs 5 oz so still pretty big but not as far ahead as he was the last time. I am feeling so much better today. How are you doing?

I have been doing pretty good and haven't been too anxious for him to be here yet as I didn't feel like I am ready now that the room is done and my hubby set up the swing and that good stuff and I washed his clothes now I am starting to feel so ready for him to be here already. We had a lot of fun in his room. We have to go out this weekend and get quite a few things still - we have no bottles at all. I finally did order an exercise video.

today has been a bad day and I am not feeling well at all. I know it has been nice to have the u/s. My doc says I am going to have to have the csection the us tomorrow will confirm that is still the case. I just hope I feel better tomorrow. I think I am overdoing it at work and stress is causing me to have a lot of BH. Talk to you soon.
