Well the week before I delivered I had been feeling like it was "time" so I told my husband this and he decided it was best for him to come home on leave for 6 days just incase. I told him that there's no garentees though, but he said that it would slim down the chances of him missing it, so he was willing to take the chance. So we spent $1600 on a WELL SPENT plane ticket, even though we dont really have the money right now, it was worth it in the end!!! Well he came home Friday, December 7th, at 9:00pm. Me (& my preggo belly hehe), my mom, his mom, his little sisters and brother were all there to greet him! I, stupidly, wore stilletto highheels cause i wanted to look pretty haha. Not sure if that helped bring on labor, but im sure it played a small part haha. Anyways, after the tearful "hellos" (his family hasnt seen him for a year) we all went to steak'nshake drivethru to take back to his parents house. The whole time in the car I was contracting and I told them "I garentee tonight is the night" especially since I knew me and Eric would make love once we got back to the house. I didn't really want it to be THAT night, because Eric had just gotten back to the country and he hadnt been here for a year so I didnt exactly want him to be stuck in a hospital for a couple days as soon as he got back! But anyways, once we got to the house, we talked to the fam for a bit then went downstairs to our room. We of course, ended up having sex. About a minute into it (1:20am), Eric stops and hes like "jeeze girl you're cumming like crazy" and im thinking "what the heck i havent even felt an orgasm yet" so i look down and im just pouring out down there. So i stand up and its running down my legs and stuff and I start jumping and freaking out "OMG i think my water broke OMG!!" So he got his mom and his mom was like "no you probably peed yourself, it happens." Cause i wasnt really having bad contractions or anything, just some crampiness. Well then it started gushing again so we decided we should probably head to the hospital. We packed everything up, and stuck a towel in my panties (so uncomfortable! lol) and while in the car we're all laughing and joking around and listening to music. And his mom is like "yeah ur not in labor, you should be bawlin ur eyes out right now" :). So we got there and they checked me and sure enough my water had broke and I was 5cm dilated. I was having regular contractions, about 2 minutes apart. We called my mom, she came right over. Hours went by, and still no progress at all. I tried walking, squating, everything. Nothin. I wasnt even in true labor yet, all that had happened was Eric broke my water and I dilated 2 more cenimeters lol. By this time it's about 8am, so my mom and his mom decide to leave cause the nurses told them they're gonna give me potocin to speed up the process, but it should be another good 5 to 10 hours. So they left. The nurses gave me some potocin, I told them that I was ready for my epidural whenever my blood results were back (they had to check on it cause I told them how my blood is really thin and i bleed like crazy, so they wanted to run some tests first just in case). Well as soooon as I got potocin, OMG contractions nonstop..and very strong. There wasnt even a break inbetween contractions. It was like as soon as it would start to decrease in pain, it went back up to the peak pain again. It was horrible. But my husband was the biggest help ever. So sweet to me and didnt irritate me one bit. I just held onto his arm/back/whole body (poor guy lol) and he just listened to what i needed, didnt flip out at all or talk too much lol. He was perfect. Anyways, an hour after my potocin had started (about 9am) my nurse (great nurse!!) came back in and realized how much pain I was in, she told me to try to stand up (or sit up or somethin ... i dont quite remember what she was trying to tell me to do) but I told her I could NOT move for anything. And she kept telling me she was there to try and help me and she knew it would make me feel better. But i just kept telling her i couldnt. So she went back to the doctor and told him that they needed to stop the potocin until i got my epidural cause she could tell that i was in too much pain. She came back and checked my cervix (i begged her to stay away from that area lol, it was aching sooo much). Sure enough I was 10 cm dilated and the head was ready to come out! One contraction later and I was ready to push! They told me to not push yet until the doctor was in, but i couldnt hold it in! So they got a backup doctor to come in (the original doctor thought for sure it'd be a while til i delivered, so was busy doing something else) So once the other doctor came in we were ready to go. I still hadn't got my epidural and i certainly was not expecting to give birth without pain medication, it was even too late to get ANYTHING! But they kept lying to me and telling me that the eipidural was coming and that I'll get it (i knew they were lying lol im not stupid) and they kept giving Eric that "look" and I'm like "hey i saw that!!! I'm not getting one I know you're lying to me!!" and Erics like "no baby, its coming, just hang in there" and he has tears in his eyes (he cries whenever he sees me get hurt physically or emotionally, hes so sweet, i swear that man loves me haha). Anyways, once the doctor was set, I started pushing, 4 pushes later my baby girl was born!!! She was born on Saturday, December 8th. She weighed 5lbs 6oz, measured at 18 inches, has gorgeous dark hair....and shes 100% healthy!! I've only had her for a week now and I'm already so in love with her i cant stand it!!!!!!! I never knew a little baby could mean so much to me, shes my world!!

Hello! My name is Melissa, my husband's name is Eric. We got married January 6th 2007 and wasted no time getting pregnant :) ! Well, it definately wasnt planned but its a wonderful surprise and so far a great journey for us! My LMP was March 23rd so we concieved around there...not sure when though lol its hard to keep track ;). For the past year we have been living in South Korea, due to my husband being in the military. He is a Cavalry Scout which I worry about him all too often. But I support what he's doing and therefore I put my trust in God for his safety. Right now he is still over in Korea, he'll be back December 20th in time for our baby's birth (hoping shes not early). I came back here to the states October 14th, and I'm missing him like crazy!! Oh and we are expecting a little girl. We're naming her Chandleir Richelle Johnson. My husbands mom also just had another baby named Lillian Faith, so my baby's aunt will only be 4 months older than her! lol. It's so fun though, and so convient for us cause we're already getting tons of hand-me-downs! Once our baby is born we will be stationed in either North Carolina or Texas...depending on if my husbands airborne contract goes through. But we're sooo excited to have a new member in our little family! Feel free to comment/msg me! And good luck to all the expecting mommies out there!!!!
