Can't wait to start TTC again in a few weeks!

July 24, 2008

AF came two days ago, but she is really light again. I am a little worried that my body might not be ready to TTC. I really want to start this cycle. I emailed the doctor to check in and am still waiting to hear back. It's all so frustrating. We've been through so much already. I just want things to work regularly for me again.

July 28, 2008

I went to the doctor since AF was so light two months in a row. I guess it was mostly good news, but still a little caution. She thinks that since AF is coming then everything is probably alright and we can start trying! Yay! The caution is that if AF doesn't become normal and we have trouble getting pg then there may really be something wrong. If there is scarring on my uterus then it could mean that it would be impossible to become pg. I don't even want to think about that possibility. All we can do for now is have fun trying and hope for the best!

August 18, 2008

Yesterday I got a BFN, and today AF has started :( She seems to be light again. I hope this is a normal cycle...

August 20, 2008

AF is still lighter, but she has stayed a little longer and is more consistent (ie - she's not really coming and going). I think this is a good sign since the doctor said that as long as AF continues to become more normal it is a good sign. Ready for another month of TTC!

Wow, I hope you are feeling better. You should ask you doctor about it. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Yeah you probably should let your principal know becuase it's better thru you then someone else.

My son Aaron is 6 now. All he has known is that I have been kind of sick. (nausea and this pregnancy has been a roller coaster for me) I switched doc, I was misdiagnosed with a blighted ovum at about 5.5. weeks they only saw a sac. I knew in my heart everything was continuing normal as I felt all prego symtoms, I got a second opinion from the doc that deliverd me with Aaron and we saw the heartbeat. It's good I didn't listen to that doctor and continued taking my progesteron/baby asprin. Also about about 4.5 weeks I had a gush of blood for just one day. ER thought also I was having a m/c.

That's good I hope you are enjoying your weekend. We really had a beautiful day today.

Talk to you soon.

Thanks! Some of the ms is going away finally! I keep thinking how funny it is that my 12 week mark is exactly my last day of school for the students, so I really don't get to enjoy the end of the year the way I would have if I wasn't feeling so bad the last few weeks!

I didn't end up staying for the cotillion. I had to go to the school board to take care of some insurance stuff, so then I just headed home after that. I missed getting to help the girls, but I know they had plenty of people helping! I'll bet they all had a wonderful time!!

I thought about doing the test anyway b/c of the ultrasound, but we really don't have the extra money right now. My brother was telling me about this place nearby though, that if I go and pay $100 they'll do an ultrasound to try to find out the sex of the baby. If they can't tell the first time, you go back once a week until they can tell and you don't have to pay each time! My dr said I can only have 1 more standard ultrasound b/c of my insurance, so if I have to wait, it'll be the middle of August before we find out what we're having! I really want to know sooner!! Trevor (my son) especially wants to know asap to make sure it's a boy!

The house I would have loved to have and fix up was my grandparents' house that they had before the last one. They had a huge old house in a beautiful old section of town within walking distance of the most beautiful parks. They ended up selling it and buying one closer to my parents. I think if I had made plans to stay in the city for college, they would not have sold it. They were going to let me have the 2nd floor as my own apt (the house had been split that way before, so there was already a working kitchen up there and everything!), but I decided early on that I did not want to stay near my parents! (long story) Anyway, I really regret that, b/c I only ended up going away to school for 2 years since I ended up pregnant! And believe me, you won't mind fixing up anything with or without a baby around if it means it's yours and you're doing what you want!!

I didn't know it was possible either! I even talked to my sister and mom about it and they never heard about it. I'm sure I'm just being paranoid, what else is new. I know this is one of the "best times in our lives", but I can't wait for the first trimester to be over with. Then it really will feel like the best time in my life LOL

That's so selfish of me to say huh? These stupid hormones

Hi!
Sorry to hear your allergies are kicking in and causing you misery!
I have started sneezing too, and just know that as the weeks go on its only going to get worse. I feel the same about taking anti-histamines! Really don't want to take anything for the baby's sake!
This could be a LOOOOOOOONGG summer huh?
Ahhhhh chhooooooooo! Somebody pass the tissues!

cks - Friday, 16 May
We love our house! We've had some problems, but hopefully we're in the clear now with the major stuff. (The sewer backed up into our basement the 1st month and had to replace carpet, walls, wallpaper, and have the whole front yard dug up to replace all the pipes!) I wish we got paid leave. It's going to be difficult with me losing all that income, but unfortunately we've been through it 2x this year when my husband had some employment problems. He's just now going back to work on the 27th after the 2nd time being out of work for over a month! It's killing us - especially as we have a huge house payment for the first time. (Rent was no where near this!)

I thought about doing the test for Down's. I'm 32, so I know it's a little higher risk. I decided, though, not to do it. I believe in things happening for a reason. I did not plan this pregnancy (or my son's for that matter) and if God wants to bless me with a special child, then I will deal with it as it comes.

Believe it or not, I had forgotten until I saw it on my profile that I hit 11 wks today! I was exhausted yesterday - stayed after school to keep detention, then went and held my sleeping 2 1/2 wk old niece for an hour (she would not wake up no matter what we did!), then came back to school for a parents' program about the school going to all boys next year. Whew! I need a nap! Today's going to be an easier day at school, but then I'm staying after to help the 8th grade girls get ready for their cotillian tonight! Hope your day goes well!

ourBaby - Friday, 16 May
Hey there!

Yeah do I hear ya. I know today we went to the doc and saw baby kicking and swimming around. It was amazing. My husband wants to tell my son this weekend that we are expecting but I think we should wait until the end of the month. People at work are all asking me if I am prego as I can't really hide it much anymore.

Take care all we can do is try to stay positive and think positive thoughts is what my doc said.

LovelylindyluwithaBOYontheway! - Friday, 16 May
Oh I hope your feeling better hun! darn allergies they sneak up on you and never want to go away!

HaileyC - Friday, 16 May
OK nevermind, I'm feeling the usual cramping (the dull cramping pain that I always get that reminds me the baby is there). I guess I'm just having a really good day and just don't know how to accept it LOL I'll just use our usual excuse that I'm pregnant and that's why i'm crazy :)

HaileyC - Friday, 16 May
You're so lucky! My next appointment is June 6th, and I'm hoping that I'll get an ultrasound then! The doctor told my husand that we'll be able to hear the heartbeat at that time, so I'm guessing we'll get an ultrasound :)

Today I have been feeling fine. Last night I felt really weird, I can't explain it... like I felt really restless and a little sick, but not really... I don't know how I felt to be honest, just weird. and today I'm paranoid because I've been reading about all these ladies that have had miscarriages and I haven't really been having any symptoms today after last night's weirdness. And I've heard that some of them they didn't bleed for a few weeks. I don't know, I'm sure I'm just being paranoid, but I don't know!! I'm feeling kind of normal today.

Oh, and I've had that gut since 5 weeks! I've been constipated most of my pregnancy so I got a bloated gut. And I've been eating like crazy so I'm gaining weight (not good, but I can't help it) Oh, I feel like a little cramp... or maybe it's just wishful thinking? Oh, I'm going crazy.... I just want to feel the cramping and starvation that I've gotten used to in the last 7 weeks!

HaileyC - Thursday, 15 May
I'm so happy to hear about that tailor! He must be a good tailor to be able to do it so quickly :)

When is your next ultrasound again? I'm DYING to see what's going on in there too!!

cks - Thursday, 15 May
The house thing is a weird situation for us. We had been living in the house that my grandparents owned for 4 years and renting from my parents. We always thought that we would eventually buy that house from my parents, but the point came back in August that my parents needed to sell and we realized that we had the opportunity to buy, and we ended up moving to get my son into a better middle school next year. The house is 40 years old and only had one owner, so apparently it was in bad shape, but we bought it from someone who flips houses. So that guy had bought it from the estate and then he and his son fixed it up - new siding, roof, windows, carpet and paint throughout. We also ended up with new appliances (except the dishwasher which was only 1 yr old). We are in a lovely little neighborhood and ended up with the world's best next door neighbor. And the bonus is, Trevor's best friend (who's mom is my best friend) had just bought a house 2 years before in the same neighborhood!!

Do you get any paid leave? We have the right to take off 12 weeks, but we get no paid leave. I can use my sick days (which roll over each year), but I didn't plan on getting preggo, so I had used most of my sick days already this year with Trevor and I had the flu back in January. I'm only rolling over 4-5 days, and then we only get 10. I'll only be able to take off 6 weeks (2 of which coincide with winter break, so at least I'll get paid for one of the days!).

The MS hasn't been as frequent the last 2 weeks - knock on wood - so I'm hoping that it's really almost over! Next Fri. is the "magic" 12 weeks that it's supposed to end! Went to the dr yesterday and got to hear the heartbeat - 166bpm!! (I can never remember what the heart-rate means for boy/girl!) I'm upset, though, b/c I found out that my insurance only covers 2 ultrasounds, so I won't be able to have another one until middle of August to hopefully find out what I'm having! Dr needs it later to find out placenta placement since I'm having a c-section! UGH!!! I told my husband I'm thinking of lying when it's time and saying I fell down some stairs or something to get an extra ultrasound! (I'm so bad!)

shylebgal - Thursday, 15 May

LOL I love it! We're the same!! It's ALWAYS my excuse! hehehe! I hope that taylor is good! I heard that it came happen overnight too, that's scary if you have a dress you need to fit! Hopefully it's not incredibly fitting in the tummy! But I'm sure you'll be able to make it work and you'll look fabulous! You did mention that it was a Tiffany blue dress. Some of the bridesmaid's dresses I saw that were that color were so cute, but some of them could look pretty bad too... hopefully the bride chose a cute one! And I'm glad you don't have to have matching shoes LOL!

You're so lucky you're turning 10 weeks tomorrow! I just turned 9 weeks today, and I'm already ready to move on to 10. Have you looked at the page for week 10? It's soooo cute! You can see a U/S where the baby is pushing off. It's so cute! You're a lucky duck!

OMG!!!! LOL!!!! I'm such a dork!!! For some reason when you said July, I was thinking July 2009!! What the heck? I'm pregnant, that's my excuse LOL!! I hate monday's too, they're the worst!!! Five kids are a lot of work, but luckily, her kids are very spread out. Their ages are 14(boy), 12(boy), 8(girl), 3(girl) and 6 months(boy). So it's not as bad as it could be :)

I would love to visit Boston - it is so pretty! Our pay scale isn't bad, but I'm starting at the bottom of the barrell! It is required here in KY to get start your masters within 5 years, so I'm getting ready to cut it close! I didn't want to start on it then end up with a new job so I thought I had time. I don't know if Mass makes you do an internship your first year, but KY does and it is AWFUL and a TON of work so I didn't want to add more school on top of that! My main thing with teaching is this is what I've always wanted to do - never deviated from wanting to do this - and this is what I've spent my life working towards. I've always wanted to be a mom too so this has been wonderful having a child and finally teaching and now having another on the way! We had also just bought our first house (we had always rented) at the beginning of Sept, so there have definitely been a lot of changes this year!! We have 8 days (inc today) left with the students here. The teachers have an additional 3 days the following week (Memorial day off, so Tues through Thurs) and I have a training that Friday. Then I am working a summer reading program which will be 2 hours per day 3-4 days a week all through June, so I'm not really getting any time off until July! UGH!!!

Hi there! I'm so happy to hear your skin is improving:-) It's funny cause I the day I saw your add I as just bored and decided to look up the earlier weeks' forum to see what the ladies are talking about and if I could actually give an advice based on my short experience and then I saw your add immidiatly decided to write you! so it makes me so happy that my mission was accomplished haha By the way, I just bought the daily moisturizer from that series, it's called Ultra Calming Daily moisturizer spf 15. The bottle has the same color as the cleanser one. It's been working pretty good for me although I am not too thrilled that it has fragrance so we'll C about that..........Anyways, take care and if you have any questions please feel free to type me sometimes= this is what is so great about this website!

HaileyC - Monday, 12 May
I hope you had a great mothers day yourself!!! I know, I love the fact that I can sleep a lot. Even before I got pregnant I would be tired all the time! Anyway, I think your dress will be ok for the wedding! Might be a little tight in the top area, especially if you're breastfeeding! But you know what you can do? My sister had 5 kids, and after the last two she went on weightwatchers. She breastfed both kids and it's completely safe to do it while breastfeeding. Well, anyway, she lost SOOOO much weight, she's back to where she was pre-pregnancy, and her 5th kid is 6 months old. Anyway, just a thought LOL. I'm going to do it!

cks - Monday, 12 May
Where are you at? It must feel great to have your master's done! I haven't started yet. Was planning to start this summer, but with being busy with my internship I didn't get my application in on time for the program I wanted, and now I'm not even sure that I want to do that program! I had taken a year off college when I had my son and then just did classes part-time. It took me almost 10 years to finish school, but I did it! Then, it took me over 2 years to get hired as a teacher. I subbed for a while and HATED it!! I was so glad to finally get offered a job - which is why I was overly willing to sign the contract to stay here for 2 years! Anyway, my principal told me this morning that the one teacher did indeed turn in her resignation on Friday. So he was going to call the board and find out what to do next. He said I do have bounce-back rights to be able to stay here. He also let me know that he had purposely placed the other teacher on a 6th grade team b/c he knew that was what I wanted. I don't know yet which team it is to find out if I'm staying with 2 of my current team members or not. I hope I am staying with them - we work really well together! I told my principal almost immediately - I knew he would be cool with it b/c he knows how committed I am right now to staying here PLUS his wife just had their 3rd, so he is in total baby mode!! I wish I could stay home with this one like I did Trevor, but I figure that things happen the way they do for a reason, so I FINALLY got a job and then I got pregnant again, so there must be a reason that I am meant to be here AND be a mom again!

cks - Sunday, 11 May
Happy Mother's Day to you as well! So far the day is going very well! My husband got me the Willow Tree figurine that is pregnant, and my son got me the Willow Tree figurine of a Mom with a son and a baby. The first year has been insane!! I didn't start until the beginning of October, so it seemed like it took until Christmas to establish myself with the students and then had to start all over again in January after the winter break! The choice was not mine. When I was hired by the school I signed a contract that I would stay there for 2 years before applying for a transfer. I could have opted to transfer to the girls' school, but I really don't like the principal over there and I LOVE my principal right now, so that sealed my fate with the boys! I actually don't know for certain right now where I'll be in the fall, though. I was overstaffed and had to wait for another teacher to turn in her resignation. In the meantime, I had to apply for involuntary transfer within the district. I have "bounce-back" rights at my school once the resignation is officially turned in. I talked to that teacher last week and she did finally turn it in Friday, so hopefully tomorrow I'll know something more official. It's driving me crazy not knowing where I'll be in the fall!! Although I am guaranteed a job within my district at least. I would like to stay at my current school at least for one more year just to be part of this new program of a public all boys school! Plus, a fellow teacher has an AWESOME babysitter 2 blocks from school and she has already agreed to take the baby in January!

haileyc - Sunday, 11 May
I want to be medium pregnant too :) hehehe. I've been getting a lot of dresses that will look cute pregnant :) I'm so excited to actually where them with the bump!

shylebgal - Saturday, 10 May

cks - Saturday, 10 May
You know, I also never realized with the testing how much responsibility the teachers have to do everything so perfectly!! (This is my first year teaching!) We had to sign away our first-born to get our test books! ;)

There are two middle schools right now in our county that have gender specific teams, and they are only about a mile away from us. So, what we are doing is having our school go to all boys and the other school is going to all girls. Several of our students have opted out of going to one of those schools, but we have students who have enrolled just to go to the single-gender school. The two schools will be sister-schools that will function as one school with two campuses.
