Hi everyone on May 15th 2008 i gave birth to my 3rd child, a little girl we named 'Shayla' who weighed 7lb 10oz and she came into this world very quick (3 hours!). I am a stay at home mum with Clayton who is 5,Alisha who is 2 and now Shayla who is already 7 and a half months...i cant believe how time flies. My darling husband fraser works and is studying psychology at uni so we are all very busy but love it and our chidren and wouldnt have it any other way. WEEK 39!!!

Im tired(not sure why since im going to bed early, must be those trips to the bathroom) and have been moody the last couple of days..i feel sorry for my husband and kids who are getting the raw end of the deal..Im exicted and looking forward for things to get started but i also said to myself that ill enjoy this last week(which is hard when u feel so uncomfortable)I went for my check up today an everything was good.. My OB said shes very low which she has been for ages but at least i know its just 'when she's ready'which could be anytime.I have something planned everyday this week so my mind is pre-occupied and im not sitting around waiting & thinking 'is today the day'

Merry Christmas to you! Wow, that is a busy time of year for you, lol. Happy belated birthday! Sept is like that for me...there is 5 birthdays, it is crazy and then another couple in Oct, 1 in Nov and 1 in Dec. then nothing for the rest of the year, lol. Now we have Shay so we can enjoy an April B-day now.
We had a great time over the holidays. She was such a doll with all the family. I was surprised actually. I just mentionted on the 8 mth page that she didn't get spoiled in the way that I thought she would. She wasn't showered with toys but she did get her first diamond necklace, 300.00, a savings bond and a Guess outift! We have to get that bank account open for her for sure now. She got a handful of toys too, including Elmo Live which surprisingly she isn't all that interested in. She loves watching him on TV, but she isn't too taken with him in person, lol. Babies can be so unpredictable sometimes!
Shay is sort of crawling...she can get to where she wants to go, but she is kind of pulling herself, doing her "downward dog" straightening her legs and inching along. She can be pretty fast when she wants to. I think she will be full on crawling with a couple weeks. My how the time goes!

It's a girl.. uh oh but you are number 3 that said boy oh no...no i am just kidding we do know it is a girl for sure but I think i just dropped a bit in that pic anyway. you know how it is!

If it wasn't for health issues and money I would have more. I am also very fertile. conceived the twins while on the birth control pill.. BIG SHOCK!!!! My doctor had told us to go for our last baby because of my health issues so after alot of talk we went for #4 and scheduled my tubal. But our little guy made his grand entrance a month early and my tubal was scheduled when he was in the hospital for apnea and I refused to leave him so we decided I would go on the pill till we could reschedule it. Then a month later my husband was diagnosed with late onset Type 1 diabetes and a tubal was the last thing on our mind.. needless to say it was a huge shock to find out I was pregnant and a bigger shock to find out it was twins!! They don't put anyone out for a vasectomy here in Canada. Our doctor never gave us a hard time and my hubby is only 28.I was happy that he was getting it done but it is a sad feeling knowing u will never have another baby. I am very contented with my family but I already miss having a new born.. that being said I would never have another one even if he didn't have the vasectomy. Our son has severe asthma.. our other son had a stroke right after birth.. he has thankfully recovered 100% and one of our twins has had so many health issues since being born. I wish I could take it all away from them so they don't have to suffer :-(

no probs, that's what we do too, give him a spoon of his own to play with. then when it's time for a mouthful, we push his spoon out of the way and trick him with our spoon. haha
he is slowly getting better. Like your little one, he's definatly not losing weight, he's a fatty, so we're not worried.

alot of people are surprised when i say i have 6 kids but it honestly isn't that hard after 4.. just more noisier. The twins are really good babies and it makes a big difference. My husband helps out alot also and I sometimes have to clean once the kids go to bed but oh well! hahaha I miss having little babies already.. no more babies for us... I told my husband he had to get a vasectomy when I was pregnant with the twins or get a divorce! haha It was a very difficult pregnant and I couldn't ever go through it again. Your children are adorable also!! How old are they all? Any more in the future for you?

Sometimes I feel like no one answers me too... I think they are just involved in conversations already and then your question goes to the next page...
My little one is 7 mths and she eats cereal at breakfast with fruit, then a veg and fruit for lunch and cereal and meat/veg combo and fruit for dessert (and lots of breastmilk and juice).
When she is full she stops eating (I usually end up throwing some out) and she isn't actually crazy about fruit?? I think it is too strong for her. She would rather eat the bland cereal or peas... weirdo!
I think we just need to follow our instincts... breastmilk or formula is still their main form of nutrition:)
Is she gaining ok?

in relation to your solids question..... i have7.5month old twins. One LOVES his solids and has been eating them 2-3 times a day for a 6-8 weeks now. He eats about 4-5 table spoons of puree consistency fruit/vege/grain type foods. The other one is not interested at all. He got an upset tummy early in the solids introduction and still isn't really interested. We were told by the 'well baby clinic' nurses to just keep trying, every day. He eats about 4 tiny spoon fulls of whatever his brother is eating 2-3 times a day, but would rather sit in his high-chair and play with the food and spoon than actually eat anything!
We just have to keep trying!! We try to get really excited with him and congratulate him on eating really well and all that stuff. He's happy when he's in his high-chair. He smiles and laughs at me when i get excited and tell him he's so good for opening his mouth! He must think i'm crazy!!
Sometime i feel like he'll be taking his breastmilk to school!!!
