HELLO!

My name is Magan, I am a SAHM to Cheyenne who is 6 yrs old and in first grade. I am pregnant with baby number 2 due date is April 21st 2008. We were TTC for 20 mos before finally getting a sticky bean. I got pregnant the first month we started to TTC, but it ended in miscarriage when I was 6 wks along. I went to the dr when we were TTC for 11mos and was put on clomid for 3 mos. The first 2 mos I was on 50mg and the last month 100mg. I couldnt stand the side effects so I didnt want to go on with it. I had 2 chemicals as well in the mos of us TTC. Which is weird when I got pregnant with my DD I was on BCP and she was an oops. I was on vitex 500mg and used preseed for the first time the month we conceived this baby who is a girl and we will name her Dakota Anne. I have diabetes so I am checking my blood sugar 4 times a day and on a diet. Problem being I am loosing way too much weight on the diet 14lbs in 2 wks, and my body is breaking down my protein so the baby isnt getting what she needs. I will be going back to see if them upping my calories 200 more a week will help, if not I will be on insulin shots which I am not looking forward to at all.
Other than that, I am 24 my DH is 26. We have been married 7 yrs together for 8 yrs, I was 17 when I got pg and married. My DH is Chris he was 18 when we got married. Like I said my first was an oops but she is the best oops I have had in my life!! Chris is a corrections officer at the local jail he has been working there for almost 3 yrs now. I lost my father when I was 19 yrs due to him having hep C, he was told he had it back in 2000 and passed away in 2003. It was very hard on all of us, especially since my DD was only 18 mos so she never really got to know him. I have 2 sisters who are older then me and 1 brother who is younger then me. All are married and have kids, so I have 4 nephews and 1 niece. We have lived where we are for almost 3 yrs and I love it here. We own a 3 bedroom 2 full bath trailer in a local trailer park. Its nice here, no one bothers anyone and stays out of your business which is what I want. We will be moving the trailer to our own land once the loan is paid off in 4 yrs or so. We have 3 cats, Feonia, Josie and Roofus and one dog Jenny. We have some gold fish and a guinea pig named Winny. I did work when my DD was younger, I worked as a deli manger at a local gas station and also worked before that as a cashier at a local gas station. Once my father got sick I had to quit to be able to take care of him since he couldnt do anything for himself. It was a very hard time for me.

March 12th-I have a dr appointment tomorrow. They are doing a non stress test to be sure the baby is ok. They were worried last time taking so long to find her heartbeat and also because she wasnt moving a whole lot. Also since I have been loosing so much weight on the diet due to the GD I may have to go on insulin, I will know for sure tomorrow. Tomorrow is a big dr appointment for me since I am not used to doing all of this!

March 13th-
I had another dr appointment this am. I did the NST which all of you ladies who told me what they do thank you so I wasnt surprised when they did it! Everything was well there. I gained 3lbs which is a good thing since I lost 14lbs before. Only thing is that my body is still breaking down the proteins so I will be going on insulin shots from here on out. I go back tomorrow afternoon to learn how to do it. Its once a day and a low dosage so nothing major. I still do my blood sugars 4 times a day to be sure they staying down.

March 14th-Had another dr appointment this am. I thought it was just to learn how to do the insulin shots in the am, but I ended up with another NST. Come to find out my baby girl was being a pain in the butt yesterday. She didnt want to move enough for their liking, so they told me to drink something that had a little sugar in it due to my GD I couldnt have a whole lot, to see if she would move more. Which she moved a LOT today. She was moving even after we got done and even a while after we got home. I start the insulin shots tomorrow, a little scared of it but we will see how it works out!

March 16th-Today is my baby shower! So excited cant wait! We have to leave here in about an hour. The insulin isnt that bad, DH is doing it for me. I dont feel it until he puts the stuff in than it stings a little but nothing major. Its keeping my sugar levels down too, so hopefully we wont need to up the dosage. Will know for sure next Fri. It does give me a headache which bothers me but I can eat stuff I couldnt before and also more so that is a plus. Tomorrow am I get to try the shot myself, DH is working a 4p to 4a so he wont be getting up at 630 to do the shot for me. I am hoping I can do it!

March 17th-Yesterday was my baby shower!! It was a great time. I got a ton of things I needed and we played games. It was so much fun!

March 21st- I had another dr appointment. Did a NST she was being a pain in the butt wouldnt stay still too long to it. I was upped to 30 for my insulin as well. Next week I do the step B then the week after that another u/s to see how big she is.

March 28th-I had mine yesterday morning he did the step B and also checked me. I am no where, not dilated nothing. So I am still waiting it out. I did have some issues with my BS to where they were doing the NST and I got so low that I almost passed out. I was so sick to my belly and also dizzy it wasnt funny. Thank heaven the nurse came in and gave me some juice. I am having so much of issues keeping it up these days since he moved to 30 on my insulin. I also lost a pound, but the dr said it was fine. As long as I dont loose too much, it seems to be staying around the same every week so I will go up or down one. Which is nice to know!
