Hello all,
This is my 2nd pregnacy and I'm so ready to get it over w/!! My wonderful companion and I are very excited about our baby girl whom he named Mya Alyse!! :) He is currently serving his country in Iraq. Mya will join her brother, Elijah Samuel and her sister Alanah Sanae on June 7, 2008.
6/6/2008
Mya is here! She was born on 5/29 at 11:01pm. She was 7lbs and 14oz. More pics coming soon!
5/25/2008
Well we didn't get a baby this weekend. They gave me a shot to stop contractions b/c she is up too high and she stopped me from dilating. My doctor didn't feel I should stay in the hospital any longer. Hope everyone is enjoying some BBQ today!
5/24/2008
Well today has been a little rough. Right now I'm just waiting on my doctor to call me back about my contractions. I hope I can go ahead and go in b/c I can't take too much more of this.
5/16/2008
2 more wks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had my appt on yesterday and Mya is fine. My doctor is giving me 2 wks to go in labor or he is going to induce. He is going out for knee surgery on June 4th and he wants me to go in before he does. Probably b/c I don't like the doctor that is on call for him. Me and her had problems when I had my 1st baby. I'm getting so excited!! Today is also my stepson's bday....................Happy bday Elijah!!
5/12/2008
Well, today is the big day! Alanah is officially the terrible 2! Although she hit this stage months before her time!! She woke up singing happy bday to herself. She went to chuck e cheese on saturday and was really worn out.......she played everything! Of course she had a ton of kids to run behind so I caught a break. It seems like just yesterday she was born. Take lots of pics ladies b/c they do grow up really fast!! Happy Birthday my little munchkin!!
As far as Mya and I, we are ok. Still the pain and really can't get up too fast from the couch b/c my leg tends to cramp up as if I'm trying to push. A couple of wks to go. Doc wants to or try to induce on the 28th of this month. We're hoping she will just go ahead and come w/o the induction. Next appt is thursday morn!

Happy Mother's Day----early!
MOTHERS and MOMS
This is for the mothers who have sat up
all night with sick toddlers in their arms,
wiping up barf laced with Oscar Mayer
wieners and cherry Kool-Aid saying,
'It's okay honey, Mommy's here.'
Who have sat in rocking chairs for hours on end
soothing crying babies who can't be comforted.
This is for all the mothers who show up at
work with spit-up in their hair and milk stains
on their blouses and diapers in their purses.
For all the mothers who run carpools and
make cookies and sew Halloween costumes.
And all the mothers who DON'T.
This is for the mothers who gave birth to
babies they'll never see. And the mothers
who took those babies and gave them homes.
This is for the mothers whose priceless art
collections are hanging on their refrigerator doors.
And for all the mothers who froze their buns
on metal bleachers at football or soccer games
instead of watching from the warmth of their cars.
And that when their kids asked, 'Did you see me, Mom?'
they would say, 'Of course, I wouldn't
have missed it for the world,'and mean it.
This is for all the mothers who yell at their kids
in the grocery store and swat them in despair
when they stomp their feet and scream for ice cream before dinner.
And for all the mothers who count to ten instead,
but realize how child abuse happens.
This is for all the mothers who sat down with
their children and explained all about making
babies. And for all the (grand)mothers who
wanted to, but just couldn't find the words.
This is for all the mothers who go
hungry,so their children can eat.
For all the mothers who read 'Goodnight,
Moon 'twice a night for a year. And then
read it again, 'Just one more time.'
This is for all the mothers who taught
their children to tie their shoelaces before
they started school. And for all the mothers
who opted for Velcro instead.
This is for all the mothers who teach their sons
to cook and their daughters to sink a jump shot.
This is for every mother whose head turns
automatically when a little voice calls 'Mom?'
in a crowd, even though they know their
own offspring are at home or even away
at college or have their own families.
This is for all the mothers who sent their kids
to school with stomach aches, assuring them
they'd be just FINE once they got there, only
to get calls from the school nurse an hour later
asking them to please pick them up. 'Right away!'
This is for mothers whose children have gone
astray, who can't find the words to reach them.
For all the mothers who bite their lips until they
bleed when their 14 year olds dye their hair green.
For all the mothers of the victims of
recent school shootings, and the mothers
of those who did the shooting.
For the mothers of the survivors,
and the mothers who sat in front of their TVs in horror,
hugging their child who just came home from school, safely.
This is for all the mothers who taught their
children to be peaceful, and now pray
they come home safely from a war.
What makes a good mother anyway?
Is it patience? Compassion? Broad hips?
The ability to nurse a baby, cook dinner, and
sew a button on a shirt, all at the same time?
Or is it in her heart?
Is it the ache she feels when she
watches her son or daughter disappear
down the street, walking to school alone
for the very first time?
The jolt that takes her from sleep to
dread, from bed to crib, at 2 A.M. to put
her hand on the back of a sleeping baby?
The panic, years later, that comes again
at 2A.M. when she just wants to hear
their key in the door and know they
are safe again in her home?
Or the need to flee from wherever she is
and hug her child when she hears news
of a fire, a car accident, a child dying?
The emotions of motherhood are
universal and so our thoughts are for
young mothers stumbling through diaper
changes and sleep deprivation...
And for mature mothers learning to let go.
For working mothers and stay-at-home mothers;
single mothers and married mothers;
mothers with money, mothers without.
This is for you all. For all of us...
Hang in there. In the end we can
only do the best we can.Tell our children
everyday that we love them. And pray
and never stop being a mother...
Please pass along to all the mothers in your life.
'Home is what catches you when
you fall - and we all fall.'

Just got back from the doctor.............no more dilating *that sucks*!! Mya was lazy today w/ a HR of 132..........well I did just eat!! I finally see some light at the end of the tunnel......Next appt. is next Thursday the 15th. Mya didn't grow in the last 2wks but I sure did..........5lbs! YIKES! But I'm still good.......I'm only up 20lbs total. Urine was excellent. My doctor's office is across the street from the hospital and he ordered my records be sent to the hospital. Hopefully daddy make it in time. If he is here by the 1st. Mya will be here on the 4th..........that is if she feels the need to stay in that long. Till next time my fellow sexy preggos!!.....................................

34w and 5d and still not much change. Braxton Hicks just gets worse and worse but go away w/ a little walking. I'm just glad hubby and I decided not to go thru this again. I wish you could just skip the being pregnant part! Hubby is doing fine and can not wait for his leave to start. I really want him to be there but little miss Mya is just about as tired as I am. As if I didn't potty enough.........I go 2x's as much now which is about every 30mins. Haven't been getting much sleep lately. Mya tends to sit right on my bladder at nite and makes it difficult to get out of bed to go. She doesn't move as often simply b/c she is getting bigger but she pokes me every so often to let me know she's hanging in there! She really responds to her sister's voice who is now singing your typical nursery rhymes........Ol Mcdonald, Itsy bitsy spider, ring around the rosie.........etc. to my belly!! It is so cute. She sees all the baby Winnie the Pooh items and says "That's Mya's." Pooh is offically for babies to her and she says she is a big girl and Dora is for big girls!!! Next appt. is scheduled for Mon. the 5th...........and Munchkin's 2nd bday party is set for Sat. the 10th.............offical bday is May 12th................I'll let you all know how my appt. went so until Mon............................................................

Yesterday was my 33wk visit.....baby's heartrate was 143BPM and I am measuring 34wks which I will be this Saturday. Baby Mya's head is down pressing very very hard on my pelvic which is painful to walk at times. Seeing as this is my 2nd pregnancy, its kind of play by ear b/c most women don't go a full 40 after the 1st baby. Doc says we may have another May baby........so to prepare I have filled out my pre-registration papers b/c Lord knows I don't want to answer any medical questions in the ER when it is time. I'm in the process of packing my bag for the hospital. I just have to get some travel stuff to put in there. Mya is 20in and 5lbs. Braxton Hicks contractions have been kicking my butt pretty much every night. I also had my cervix checked and I'm making little progress dilated almost 1cm. As long as my water doesn't break in the next 3 1/2 wks, baby and I will be fine. I'm trying to make it at least to 37wks so Mya will not be hooked up to any breathing machines......after that, it is on! My next visit is scheduled for May 5th.......until next time my fellow preggos!! *muah* kisses to all those who have been blessed recently w/ babies already here.

I just talked to hubby a few hours ago and things aren't going so great for him. His camp was set up in the Green zone in Iraq which means they are constantly being attacked. He says he hasn't had much sleep the past few days......please keep our troops in your prayers!
Not much going on w/ Mya today except for the fact she has settled in my pelvis again pushing down w/ her head..........my feet are still on the swollen side. Forgot to mention from my last appt. that I was up 15lbs. but thats after being down 20 from the 1st trimester w/ morning sickness. So all the weight is in my belly. Stomach is sitting pretty low these days............is it June yet? Until next
4/8/2008
Well I went to the dr. yesterday and baby Mya is doing fine. Her heartrate was 150 BPM and she is sitting butt first like "KISS MY ASS EVERYBODY!" Feet are still swollen but its not as bad....at least not right now. Other than that, we are both doing fine! TTYL! : )
4/2/2008
I'm in the middle of my 30th wk and this has gotten a little painful! Little Mya has decided to settle down in my pelvic and that is not a nice feeling. My first pregnancy, Alanah did not turn until the day of my labor. My feet have swollen to the size of the Nutty Professor!! I talked Yahoo IM to my hubby and told him what I was going thru and he verbally was fussing at Mya! He told her that she needed to sit down and be still somewhere and wait til her due date. I told him that I don't think that I am going to make it b/c she is getting so long and my dr. said she may run out of room trying to grow. She currently weighs about 4lbs. and is 19 1/2in long. He will get a 2wk leave from Iraq around the first week of June and he says she needs to wait for him! But all those current mommies out there know that babies are going to make their grand entrance when they get ready!
3/24/2008
You know they say every pregnacy is different....boy were they right on point. I never got sick w/ my 1st pregnancy. My 1st trimester the 2nd time around was hell! All I did was throw up. Symtoms started easing around 18wks. Still sometimes, I can't stand the smell of certain foods cooking like things that are cooked in grease. I crave so much Olive Garden that it is unreal!! : ) My 1st time, I ate ice like 24/7 and at 2mos. when my daughter started teething, she sucked on ice.....now at 22mos., she wants a cup of ice to herself to eat!! She had her choppers very early. At her 1st bday, she had 10 teeth all ready and by 18mos. she had all her baby teeth including back teeth. She is the smartest lil thing. She counts to 10 and listening to her stumble on her ABC's is so cute. She can do it but she trips on "LMNOP!" I'm really hoping little Mya is easy to teach as my 1st, you know, monkey see monkey do! We had potty training down at 19mos. and we are pamper and pull-up free! HALLELUJAH!! She is truly my Mother's Day gift as she was born the weekend of Mother's Day. Good luck to all those future mommy's out there.....take lots of pics when they get here cause boy do they grow up fast! My angel is almost 2 and I can't believe how time has flown!

no signs of anything. I feel as if she's dropped but you know that doesn't mean much other than having to pee more often. |
