2007- 2008 has brought some major changes to my life, all positive. It's amazing how you can love someone that you have never even met.
My husband and I are soo excited to bring a beautiful little girl into this world. We were engaged last fall after 2 years, bought a house in October and found out I was pregnant in November. It was not planned, but I would not take it back for anything..we went to Vegas in January and eloped. So simple and easy. Down the road we plan on having a real wedding, but Olivia is our main focus right now.
Olivia Irelyn Swan will be her name...Already the center of my universe and I think she already knows it. She is very active and reminds me that she will soon be here with her kicks.

I would not take your iron pills with milk. The calcium in milk actually inhibits the absorption of the iron and is thus counterproductive. Take the pills with orange juice or anything else with vitamin C, as that assists with the absorption. It would be a shame to take all that iron and then not have it absorb. I am taking two Slow Fe per day, and fortunately it has not been a problem for me.

Hi Mindie, I am also on iron supplements and mine say not to take with dairy among other things. That is what could be making your stomach upset.

take the iron pill in the morning with a glass of orange juice. Iron digests well with vitamin C. good luck

I really liked Olivia too! I guess we really both wanted a name that ended in an 'A'...I wanted Talia, Olivia or Amelia. Amelia it is!! :)

Yep, I'm delivering at Hoag. I live right next to it. I had my 1st at Saddleback, since my insurance at the time didn't include Hoag. I'm so excited! Except we'll be moving to Mission Viejo before the baby's born. I'll have to do the drive again. I hope I don't go into labor during rush hour!
Are you delivering at Hoag? I see you live in Aliso Viejo. How do you like living in that area?

wow, it's just a really messed up system that was meant for good but totally ruined by people taking advantage of something they don't have the slightest understanding of what the actual cost is. I've told my people the same thing and when I reminded them I'm younger than they are and supporting them just because they don't want to pay for things all I got was a sarcastic "thanks", ooo talk about being pissed, needless to say we just don't talk about it any more.
I am so ready to meet this little guy, my hubby can't wait either. I love being pregnant but the more I read about how big he is getting I just can't wait to see what he looks like and hear his sounds and everything. I actually don't even mind the whole diaper changing and not sleeping as a lot of people are warning me about, I know it won't be fun per say but so worth it.

Thank you!! sometimes I feel so alone on my opinion about welfare and "government" help, funny thing is the people I know who won't get married because of the benefits is people in my family and it always frustrates me when they brag about how much they are "saving" when my freaking taxes keep going up because the government is running out of money....hmmm I wonder why. On a better note I hope everything with your pregnancy is going well. I can't believe we are already this close, I can't wait.

I am having another c-section. I have a fibroid growing and the doctor told me that he wouldn't be able to give me meds to help me along with labor...basically that I'd have to do it all by myself, I opted for another c-section. He was going to allow a v-bac....but after hearing no meds to help with contractions, I was okay with another section!!
I see my dr. tomorrow also...want to ask him about the size of baby and perhaps moving me up a week as well. Don't know about you, but I'm just about ready for this baby to come out! It's breeched and the kicking in my crotch, although it's great, can be a little annoying at times!! Not to mention the head that sticks out of my left side, making holding my son and sleeping painful!

He is a boy...my 4th...LOL. If Tristan continues to get big, they will be inducing me. Depending on how fast he gets big, it could be as early as 36 wks. I am hoping it doesnt go that way seems too early to me. I really really hate pitocin...yuck. Either way i am to be induced ... either 36 wks or 38. Keep in touch, we can complain together about the aches and pains...LOL

I'm right there with you...I think around 4 to 4.5 pounds is normal for right now. I know that when I had my 4D U/S the tech said that she would guess I would go two weeks before my due date because my Aubrey was so big. She already had chipmunk cheeks. Everyone reassures me that the bigger the better, they are healthier and sleep through the night...I am hoping she stays under 9 lbs...

hey, just read ur comment and thought id say, i have a few books and on each book they say different things about the size of the baby now (32 weeks) some say 3-4lbs and i have one that says 4lbs maybe 5. i think its just different babys grow different rates.. if ur baby was too big for how far gone u r, ur midwife would tell u and be extra keen on checking up on her. u should be okay. xxx

I am from 31 weeks peeking ahead...I had my u/s done this morning and my baby is measuring 4lb 12oz....according to the site, it is HUGE!! I'm going with that's the reason why my belly is soo big! haha

hi, i had a ultrasound wed too, and mine came out the same...the tech said the u.s. had me at 33 weeks and that my baby weighs in at 4.8. I had my u.s. due to gestational diabetes...which tends to make bigger babies. Don't worry too much, b/c the u.s. can be off a pound or so :). My dr is just keeping a closer eye on the size of this one.

Don't worry about having a big baby. I am a post-partum nurse and moms deliver babies naturally that are 8, 9 and even 10lbs. Some doctors will make you worry about this, but don't let them! C-Sections are more money for the docs. Remember Your body was meant to birth Your baby!
