2007- 2008 has brought some major changes to my life, all positive. It's amazing how you can love someone that you have never even met.
My husband and I are soo excited to bring a beautiful little girl into this world. We were engaged last fall after 2 years, bought a house in October and found out I was pregnant in November. It was not planned, but I would not take it back for anything..we went to Vegas in January and eloped. So simple and easy. Down the road we plan on having a real wedding, but Olivia is our main focus right now.
Olivia Irelyn Swan will be her name...Already the center of my universe and I think she already knows it. She is very active and it never gets old feeling her move.
June 17th - Today I had my checkup. The doctor checked me to see if Olivia has dropped and she is in position. I am dilated to 1cm, not much.. but it's a start. haha.. The last few days I have been having stronger BH's and am feeling more pressure on my bladder and hips. I am not due for 17 days, but thinking she might come early. Wish me luck...

Hope you are okay. I was induced on 1 July and had my daughter Genevieve at 23.34 2 July weighing 4lb 4oz, she's still in Neonatal Special Care. Good luck with your baby!

I think about going out now...but then I feel guilty. I would really be leaving everyone else in the office in a bind...
But I have to think about myself also...UGH!
I go back to the Doctor on the 18th...
I am going to see what she has to say then..
As for you...
Just know that they typically won't let you go more than 2 weeks past your due date...

Actually I didn't ask either, I didn't even know what the heck she was doing down there until I asked after LOL I can understand the whole natural thing too, I'm seriously hoping for that as well, I was 16 days late (thank god they don't let you go that long anymore!) so it's almost inevitable that it will happen to me too. Well usually girls come before little boys, so I hope your little angel comes soon for ya :-) Same to you, keep me posted!

Ya at me appointment today I was the same as last week! He did a sweep last week and again today. I know, I was reading up on inductions and they greater your risk of a c-section by 50%!!!! That's crazy. Have you had a sweep done? Why is your Doc making you wait so long? I was only actually supposed to wait 5 days but my Doc is scheduled all week and can't get to the hospital. Last week I didn't notice anything, just some (sorry if it's tmi) brown tinged discharge, but today OMG it's like mt period again! I'm not getting excited though, but it is a lot of blood. My doc says when you get induced they put a gel inside you the night before (it's supposed to soften and dilate the cervix) hoping that throws you in to labor. Man everything we go through just to have a baby! LOL Talk soon

Well at least you can see a glimpse of the light at the end of the tunnel!
As for me...I just starting my 6th month...feeling fine outside of the fact that I told my boss on the 24th..and since then she has made my working environment complete hell!
I have been in tears everyday since...I know I am not eating right and it can't be good for the baby...I am going to talk to the Doctor and see what she thinks...

Good news on the dropping!! You're moving ahead!!
I'm praying he's got my hubby's blue eyes. During delivery the dr kept saying - He's BALD! He's got NO hair!! But turns out he does - he came out with a little faux-hawk, and actually has a little baby mullet in the back. I totally need to get a pic of that to torture him with later.

I saw that you were still waiting... Just remember most go late!! I was an anomaly. ;) I can't wait to heat how it goes. Don't worry about the induction until it's time. And I essentially was induced - I was only 2.5cm when I went in and needed pitocin!

How are you hon? I see you're still waiting...don't worry! I was 2 days overdue too when I had my little girl. Amelia was born on Monday, 6/30, and even 2 days overdue, she was still just a little one at 7lb 4oz. We are crazy in love with her, and she is just the most precious thing. Trust me when I say that it will be sooo worth the wait. Good luck! :o)

It can cause the baby to have a bowel movement while still in the womb, this can cause very dangerous complications and infections to an otherwise healthy baby.

I didn't think I was having contractions either, but turns out I was. They just felt like period cramps, or him stretching or something. They didn't radiate up my belly or around my back like they said. So you know they're all like "you'll know!!!" Yeah - I didn't. :S

Did I mention that Olivia is one of my most favorite names? It's going to be so great! I hope for your sake too that you aren't trying to rush down here this weekend. My advice is to get off the 73 at Campus Dr. and that turns into Irvine Dr. Take that all the way down. Turn rt on 15th, and left on Old Newport, Rt on Hospital Rd. Don't even try PCH or Newport Blvd. You might already have a plan though. Good luck! Get the epi asap, trust me! We'll talk soon!!

Have you seen the movie groundhog day? Everyday is the same for the character? Thats how I feel these last days of pregnancy..here I go again waking up pregnant. Yes it seems lik years away to july 10th when they will induce. I think my cervix just can not dialate. I have been at 1.5 cm for almost 2 weeks now.

YES!!! Omg - so exhausted! My water broke last Wed eve at 730 - June 25. And we had Beckett at 8:14 Thursday morning! This is the first time I've been back on the site. I'll post the full story this afternoon. How are you doing?!

they set an induction date for my baby since he has not come on his own yet...July 10th. At least thats an end at the tunnel. Evan Cadillac Johnson is his name. Good luck with baby Olivia
