2007- 2008 has brought some major changes to my life, all positive. It's amazing how you can love someone that you have never even met.

My husband and I are soo excited to bring a beautiful little girl into this world. We were engaged last fall after 2 years, bought a house in October and found out I was pregnant in November. It was not planned, but I would not take it back for anything..we went to Vegas in January and eloped. So simple and easy. Down the road we plan on having a real wedding, but Olivia is our main focus right now.

Olivia Irelyn Swan will be her name...Already the center of my universe and I think she already knows it. She is very active and it never gets old feeling her move.

June 17th - Today I had my checkup. The doctor checked me to see if Olivia has dropped and she is in position. I am dilated to 1cm, not much.. but it's a start. haha.. The last few days I have been having stronger BH's and am feeling more pressure on my bladder and hips. I am not due for 17 days, but thinking she might come early. Wish me luck...

YES!!! Omg - so exhausted! My water broke last Wed eve at 730 - June 25. And we had Beckett at 8:14 Thursday morning! This is the first time I've been back on the site. I'll post the full story this afternoon. How are you doing?!

they set an induction date for my baby since he has not come on his own yet...July 10th. At least thats an end at the tunnel. Evan Cadillac Johnson is his name. Good luck with baby Olivia

Yes we have a name for the boy -- Jens. We wanted a Danish name because I met my boyfriend in Copenhagen 6 years ago. And here in Holland the names should be short, its a big fashion now :) By the way, I like the name Olivia very much! I actually would call our baby boy Oliver, if my bf wouldnt mind :) As going to the hospital, I can imagine you are not fan of traffic at the moment LOL But they say that 90% of women are rather too early in hospital than too late... Probably there are also more busy hours than others, but I can imagine you dont want this kind of worries on your shoulders right now. And Im actually sure it will work out! Hugs, K3

Im having a boy! The delivery makes me feel a bit nervous because its my first and i dont know what to expect... besides the pain of my life... LOL I left the pain relief option open, let's see what is coming my way. Would LOVE to go through it all naturally. At least my mom thinks I would be able for that :) Other than that Im quite a happy pregnant at the moment, still very mobile and not sitting home much. Fri July 4th is a wonderful date, but look all the nice dates next week!!!

Never left the house in the end just tidied up etc. It's areally nice day here today so and just doing washing then I'll hang it out and go shopping in my trainers that have just arrived from e-bay!! I only have 1 pair of trainers that fit now NOTHING else does so I've just bought some used ones the same (nike Shox)

my parents are here for 2 weeks. i haven't spent that much time with them in, literally, 17 years since i lived at home. as soon as i got them from the airport, we went to lunch. i ordered a sandwich and salad. my mother rubbed my stomach and said, "she clearly believes she's eating for more than 2". less than 30 minutes off the plane and already offensive. later, the waitress asked about my tattoos and my mom went off for a good 10 minutes about how my kid was going to come out with weird birthmarks because of my tattoos and a foul mouth like mine. for what it's worth, at least it's you MIL who sucks and not your own mother. :)

tell you MIL you are limited in the number of people you can have in the room during labor. that's what we told my mom for the same reasons. we told her the only people alloweed in the room are my husband and doula. she had the nerve to be upset that i preferred my husband to her...but that's the exact kind of attitude that prevents me from wanting her in there. if your mil is a pain in the ass, just tell her 2 is the max and let your nurse know that's what you told her.

Didn't go out at all in the end just did some stuff in the house which feels better although they weren't completely essential. I definitely intend on doing shopping tomorrow either before or after scan!

Hey Mindieswan, I read your post about your MIL. If I would be you, I would find out if she really thinks that she is welcome to your delivery! And then certanly say what you actually want! I'd do it in a rather mild way because she is the grandmom of Olivia, and you will need good relations with her! Even if she can be pain in the back sometimes! Wish you good luck with everything! K3

No you can't have a water birth with an epidural, you have to be monitored and hooked up to an IV. Getting an epidural causes your blood pressure to drop so they need to monitor you and baby at all times. The water is supposed to provide excellent relief, you should stick with that. Did far too much yesterday too and was really aching afterwards but the freezer is now FULL and lots of fresh fruit and veg from the market. Loads of sales on everywhere including an expensive baby shop relocating so i'm going shopping today (to indulge myself on the baby's behalf!) whilst daddy's at work!!

People are really funny about money and gifts. My hubby and I are very willing to help people out when we can and then when we need it... o well. My dad passed away 2 years ago, you would think his (wealthy) family would want to help or provide more - even phone calls or support since it is my dad's first grandkid. But no, nothing. There are 8 brothers and sisters total. The 3 sisters went in on our $80 highchair. Ummmm... Thanks... ??? lol

Definitely. I've been making sure taht I have at least 1 or 2 little jobs to do each day like tidying something or washing or shopping just to distract me but nothing that would really matter if it didn't get done. Today I've washed my bedding which then got rained on when it had just about dried! I was going to change my internet provider too but got my current one to give me a better deal �5 less per month and free evening calls without having to swap anything. That'll do!

Hi there :-) hope you are doing well and resting up ! Yeahh.. my pregnancy has been ok.. had really bad morn/aft/eve/night sickness for the first 5 mths .. but It has taken me soooo..long to concieve that it didnt concern me too much .. Overall I love being preggos.. ermmm..even though I cant wait to get into my jeans and heels again.. haha!! Now I am soo close I m just over the moon... Thanks for ur imput on my question about my boyfriend not wanting to move. But we talked about it last night for a good 2-3 hours. He's decided to move with me (& gave me my ring back but only after I made him tell me what it means to him lol) I just told him if he wants to stay that's fine but me and our baby arent staying here. So hopefully things work out. Thanks a bunch!!
