ugh, i don't blame you at all for not trusting her what with this whole 'i'll feed him what i want thing.' my mother is like that sometimes, too, and it seriously makes me want to just cry, lol! i know they've got the experience and we're their kids and all, but i just don't get why they don't understandy that we CAN take care of our babies and we have every right to make our own decisions whether they agree with them or not. *sigh!!!* oh well... it is what it is, right? btw... the farmer's cheese... do you like it? b/c it sounds a little weird, lol, and i wonder what it would taste like!!

karenc - Friday, 18 July
oh, i hope it gets easier soon -- money troubles are sooo stressful! :( but i'm sure something will come up for him soon :) we're always looking for ways to save money, and it's great that my mom can watch beckett but... she makes me just a little crazy b/c she wants to be VERY involved. i think you know where i'm coming from!

re: the situation with your husband's job, you may want to consult with a legal aid attorney -- they are generally free or very low cost, so it wouldn't take another chunk out of your pocket. and i wondered if you guys have tried using craig's list to find him a new job? just a thought.

as far as your bills go, many utility companies will allow you to work out payment plans if you can't pay your bills in full on their due date. you should give them a call and see what can be done. that way, you'll still be able to make payments, but also be able to reallocate some of your funds toward bills that might not be so flexible, like your car payment. and i forget, but are you renting? i ask b/c, as hard as it could be, maybe you could move in with some family and pay lower rent for just a short time? i know, that's a giant pain in the butt, but i did want to throw it out there. hope things become less stressful soon

OH, and also, lol, on the cat, you could call your local animal rescue league to come and get decker. they will make sure he's healthy and then put him up for adoption. i have TERRIBLE cat allergies too, so i can't have cats, but i don't like to see them homeless. another thought, btw; do you have a garage? you could let him stay there overnight, so he'd be an outdoor cat with a nice warm, dry crash pad, haha!

YolandaLee - Thursday, 17 July
You could leave a box outside with a blanket in it for Decker to sleep in, so he's warm and doesn't have to come inside :) cats love cardboard boxes!

as far as having any teeth pop up, not yet- but he has been drooling up a storm for the past couple of months. There are a couple raised white bumps on his gumline, so possibly one will poke through soon.

DANNIE - Wednesday, 16 July
If Nathan is teething, he probably isn't feeling quite like himself. I am so sorry that his eating habits have been so difficult for you. I know how it is to want to provide the best and do everything right for your little guy.....and know that you are doing a great job!

Rebbers - Wednesday, 16 July
Just read your comment about your little guy not wanting to take his bottle. I know my sister had the same prob with one of her twin girls and it turns out she was just ready for more baby food than bottle. It is also possible if he is teething that he may get fussy, our girl has two teeth coming in and although she is eating well she has had fussiness and has had the runs. I may call the doc if it doesn't end soon and if your little guy does this for another day or two, you might want to do the same just to be sure. Good luck

I think he would be fine on his tummy next to you ... if you are watching him ... doctors always have to give the proper medical opinion!! when I went to sleep school the health nurse actually advised one of the mums to put her 6 month old to sleep on her tummy cos thats the only way she would sleep!! She said to ring the sids helpline to discuss it and they don't usually recommend it but in some cases it's the best solution.

DANNIE - Wednesday, 16 July
So far he has had rice cereal and oatmeal. I am started applesauce on Monday and he will have that and cereal for several days and then I think I will do bananas. Shh, don't tell my husband that I didn't wait a WHOLE month of doing just cereal before starting fruit! LOL!

lol thanks. 24 hours? WOW!

breezee - Monday, 14 July
Yes, when she will eat, most the time she cries the moment she starts sucking the food in, and in the event that we do get food down her, she violently spits it back up.

Hi... i do give my baby a blanket at night. I didnt my last baby because i had a baby who grew her angel wings :( But it is so cold this time i have no choice. Lilly is also in a sleeping baby which stops her from moving up the bed.. Another thing is that i have a sleep supporter thing so she cant roll over.. That with her sleeping bag and blanket and she cant move hehehe. I too have the angel care monitor and i feel very safe with that and all my methods that all will be ok Good luck

Hi :) I would do the haircut for sure and just highlight your natural color. Just make sure they get you past the yellow stage to white. I would definately keep your natural color in there though. It's pretty and it compliments your skin tone, eyebrow color and eyes. (Was a hairdresser)

Thank you for the website.

I also have long hair (and I"m from the 3 month baby forum) but I had a lady cut my hair with long bangs like that and they are just growing out . i couldn't be happier that they are growing out because my son grabs at them and they fall in my eyes and block my view of him when I'm playing with him. Just a consideration for you, That's something that always annoyed me though. You might be able to handle it, I'm a little wierd about stupid annoyances. I wear a barrett or a headband most of the time I get so annoyed with not being able to see. It was fine before he was here, but now it's an inconvenience. The cut looks great on you! I don't want to discourage anything because now more than ever we all need some pampering and beauty time!

lisamarie8503 - Friday, 11 July
