Thursday, 15 May No problem, anytime, that's what we're here for. It sucks to gain weight especially during this time that we're so stinking emotional.
After we have our babies, we should start our own little "Let's lose that baby weight" thread, that way we can support each other in the challenge. annenne -
Thursday, 15 May Take a deep breath... hold it... exhale. Everyone gains weight differently, I laugh when people say I should only gain like 20 lbs. I gained over 70 lbs. with my daughter last time, and I wasn't pigging out. This time I've gained less than that but still gain weight very rapidly when I'm pregnant. Most of it for me is water retention, and that weighs a lot.
Just be sure to eat healthy for you and your baby and worry about the weight after your baby is born. Just remember, healthy eating habits will keep you and baby well nourished. I know it can be difficult, it took me a year to lose all the weight with my daughter, but it's very doable. Kick your hormones in the butt and don't let them take away the joy of having a little life inside you right now. kathy24 -
Thursday, 15 May I totally understand where you are coming from with the weight. I was overweight when I found out that I'm pregnant and at my last doctors appt I had only gained a total of 8 pounds (I'm thinking great) but I'm so sick of people asking if I;m going to make it to Aug or if the baby is really big, no I'm just BIG!!! UGH ready -
Thursday, 15 May I am with you on the weight. I'm already at the weight I was with my 1st son. I feel so fat. I can't find clothes that fit. People keep asking me if I'm 9mths yet. I just feel so fat. I hate it. Beeccii -
Thursday, 15 May You are beautiful! Try not to worry too much about the weight... Im going to have to lose 50 lbs myself after the baby's born. mylittlesurprise -
Thursday, 15 May Yes....more like 4 times a night! Rahhhh! But, there again, i try to be positive about it! At least i CAN pee! The first trimester, due to an entrapped uterus, i had to catheterize myself at night to pee. That was fun! it ended around 15 weeks or so, when my uterus got too big to be stuck in my pelvis and popped up on its own. apparently 5 pregnancies can really do a number on our parts, and my uterus was tilted so far back that it just wasn't coming up till it was damn good and ready. I guess, from what i hear, its pretty rare, but i actually found someone else on this site that the same thing happend to. sorry to hear about your back pain. That must be tough with a little one to tend to all day! For me, it's the hips these last couple of days. I think from being in bed for 2 days or something, but man, they are aching! Whaaaaaaaa! felt like complaining! I try not to, but some days ya can't help it ya know? lol!!! Have you tried any Yoga for your back? It really helps! I got a good prenatal yoga tape at target for $14, and it's a life saver. good stretches on it...worth a shot for ya...plus, your kids might do it with you...my 4 year old loves it, and it's the only time she's quiet all day, and she sleeps really good at night if i do it at night with her....just a thought.... Thursday, 15 May I am fighting the same battle myself!
The last Dr. appt that i had, they said about my "swelling" and that i was only to gain 3 lbs by the next appointment. First of all - i didnt notice swelling (till last night) and 3 lbs - WOW - i can put that on just thinking about eating ice-cream! I have been hungry ever since i went there the last time, these salads and health foods are aweful! I can eat 16 Sunchips according to the bag - - - - - - this is just not right! 100 years ago - women were having babies without "rules" and now look at the way society has shaped women in general! Im with ya girl - i say forget it and we worry about it after we pop!!!! :) lacywalk -
Thursday, 15 May Do not worry girl! My son is 4 years old and weighed more when I found out I was pregnant with this baby (185), than I did when I delivered my 11 lb. son. I did lose some weight when I found out we were expecting and I am now back at 185. Now is not the time to diet, just eat right. Try and keep fresh veggies and fruits around. Eat plenty of grilled chicken and turkey. My favorite snacks are watermelon and cantelope. I have been guilty to eat a burger or candy bar though too. Just make sure you breastfeed, that will help tremendously after you have the baby. You will be fine...you have a miracle inside you and is worth every little uncomfortable thing we go through. God Bless and have a good day! mylittlesurprise -
Wednesday, 14 May Hey! I've had the flu for a couple of days here, and am feeling better today. Just something that has been running it's course thru my house! Yuck!!! so fun with one bathroom! lol!! Mothers day was ok. My oldest had the flu and so my breakfast plans got cancelled. I decided to paint my other daughters bedroom instead. Then, started with the sick later that night. I have tons of energy, and need to keep reminding myself to take it easy, i'm pregnant!!! But, you know how it is, with all these other kids around, it's better that i have energy to work with right?! How are you doing? They started me on every 2 week appointments already!!! I can't believe how fast the time is flying by!!! 98 days to go!!!! YAY!!! BeansMom -
Tuesday, 13 May Thanks for your reply. I'm in Canada and I've had two ultrasounds...one at 11 weeks and one at 22 weeks. Contemplating one more just cause I love seeing him/her. I just ask my doc and he signs the forms and off I go! Maybe doing the 4D one not sure yet. Congrats on your pregnancy and I hope you're feeling well. jessieandderek -

Friday, 9 May I think so. the only one we seem to agree on is Noah William. It was my first choice since i was about 6 weeks pregnant (if it was a boy) and he didn't like it much. That is, until his father said "he" liked it. Then, all of a sudden, it was a great name...go figure!!! Sometimes, guys can be so stupid, ya know? lol... Well, not everyone likes that choice in my family either, but you know how that goes... once he's born, noone will be able to think of him as anything but "Noah" or whatever we name him. Plus, up till now, i've done all the work, so they can kiss my big round ummmmmmm.....belly!!! lol!!! talk to you soon! mylittlesurprise -
Friday, 9 May By the way...I love the names you've picked!!!! Hoping it's your Jasmine...but, of course, praying for healthy...i mean, you do have BEAUTIFUL BOYS!!! Why not keep making them!!! Can you improve on perfection? LOL!!!! mylittlesurprise -
Friday, 9 May I know!!! I'm so excited about labor too!! I must be retarted or something! I'm sure i'll regret my anxiousness when it gets here!!! I can't believe you don't know what your having yet!!! That baby needs to flash you! Are you getting another u/s? I have done it both ways, however, and not knowing is SOOOOOOOO much better! The delivery room is so exciting when it's a huge surprise like that! mylittlesurprise -

I'm stressing about the space in my house, so we are moving everything around, and i'm driving my husband completly insane!! What a bitch! lol! it's getting there. I just need to keep busy, i'm getting itchy for this baby, and having a hard time waiting! I just can't wait to meet him!!!!! augustbump -
