I went to the dr. last week and had an ultrasound. The baby measured 6 1/2 weeks. I just entered my seventh week of pregnancy. I have been doing real good. I have been really tired, certains smells make me sick, boobs real sore. I have another ultrasound in a week. The dr. wants to see how the baby is growing, because I had an ultrasound when the baby was so young.

Monday, 3 Mar

I went to the dr. today and had another ultrasound. The baby is doing fantastic. I am 8 weeks and 4 days. The babies heart rate was 179 bpm. My new due date is October 9, 2008. My husband and I are very happy. We got the first ultrasound picture and I will post it to my page soon!

Tuesday, May 13

Went to the dr.'s today and had the level 2 ultrasound. We saw our baby girl. She is beautiful. She is 10 inches and weighs 10 oz's. She has the longest legs. Everything looked great on the ultrasound. Everything is normal and she measured right up to my weeks in pregnancy. I will post the ultrasound pictures soon...

Friday, October 10

One day overdue. Trying not to lose my mind! I just want to meet my daughter and have a Patron Magarita! I have an induction date on Tuesday, October 14. I am really nervous about giving birth for the first time and hoping everything goes textbook style. Hopefully, I will be holding my daughter in my arms real soon! Eric has been the best support person I could wish for. He has been so loving and patient with me and I am so grateful for such a wonderful husband. I am so lucky! He keeps telling me he is soooo excited to meet his lil girl! He is too cute!!

Sorry it's taken so long!
Jackson Taylor Marino was born October 8th, at 12:45 in the afternoon. I was in labor a grueling 28 hours, and finally delivered him! I didn't have an epidural, and no, I wasnt trying to be hard, lol, I think I was more afraid of the needle in my back than the pain of child birth. I end up having an episiotomy, and needed somewhere in the park of 15 stitches. Jackson weighed 7 and a half pounds and was 20 inches long.

oh, and the other thing to think about is IF your BP was really truely at a dangerous level, they would not have sent you home yesterday... and you would not have a choice in the delivery... so, don't let them scare you into thinking it's at a life-threatening level, because if that were the case you would've had your baby yesterday.

personally I would take the induction.... at least give it a shot. But the thing is there are a few ways to induce so talk to your doc. Like if I were dilated to where you are I would ask them to do cervadil (the vaginal gel stuff) and give that a little time and that could jump start you into labor without pitocin, or if it at least helps you to dilate just a bit more then (if it were me) I would ask for my water to be broken and go from there. Once again, avoiding pitocin. ----------- With my daughter I was induced due to high blood pressure/preeclampisa.... I had pitocin and it made contractions one on top of the other... I HAD to get a epidural to avoid c-section cause my BP was skyrocketing with contractions so that was amazing and helped and I got my vaginal delivery. It was a 17 hour induction (longer than normal) but it was ok. If I have to be induced this time I asked my doc to just break my water and she said ok.

Maybe you should call another doctors office and ask their opinion... make sure your doc really is giving you the best info you can have. It's a really personal, situational decision. Good luck girly
