Hi everyone! This is my first time being pregnant. There are many emotions that I am feeling right now. From happy, excited, to frightened and worried. This baby was not planned, however, very much welcomed. It is nice to have a community such as this to share my thoughts and feelings and to have support for it. I welcome any tips, advice, etc. =)
Madame Zaritska's reading
Madame
Zaritska, our resident clairvoyant, wants to help you prepare for the
arrival of your child. Here she does her best to predict certain
aspects of your labor and birth experience.
What she senses for you
The day you deliver, outside will be windy. Your baby will arrive in wee hours of the morning
.
After a labor lasting approximately 6 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 8 ounces, and will be 20 inches long. This child will have light blue eyes and be almost bald.
But
there is more. I get the impression that there is something in your
life that is not yet settled. Something about... something about a
name? Ah -- a baby name. Why don't you look here for help with finding the perfect name for your precious child.

Wow I haven't been on here in a while (imma say that with every entry-lol). Anyway, I am at 29 weeks and I had my doctor's appointment today. Everything is going well so I am happy with that. Saturday I am going to take my gestational diabetes test, hopefully everything works out well and I can just take it once and they tell me that I do not have diabetes. I guess I gotta do research to make sure that I pass the first time.
So far I've gained 40 lbs but my doctor says that I look fine and the baby is fine along with the measurements on my stomach. She asked if I was underweight before I was pregnant and I am starting to think that I was. I am not anorexic or anything like that, but I was soo focused on work that I never ate as often as I should. I lost a lot of weight and my family members noticed. The funny thing was that I wasn't trying to but smoking cigarettes, weed, not eating healthy or as often as needed, and drinking alcohol doesn't attribute to a wealthy weight. My daughter came at the right time because I stopped doing all of that mess and now I am eating the best I have since I was a little kid (and my parents made me eat healthy-lol).

Well I haven't wrote in here in a while so I decided to write a lil sumthin sumthin. I finally changed doctors so I am very happy. I have spoken to this doctor when I had a concern about something (and MY doctor wasn't available - go figure). She was very warm and informative and I really appreciated that so I will get to talk to her face to face in two weeks. The good thing is that this doctor practices in the same office as my old one so I don't have to transfer my medical records (thank God!).
I have been feeling a bit sore but I think it is Tenaysia making room for herself. I also can't sleep well because my hips, legs, and back feel sore when I wake up. I sleep with five pillows and sometimes it helps - other times it doesn't. I am going to get a maternity body pillow so that I can actually enjoy my sleep. I've only enjoyed sleeping once this whole week.

I FOUND OUT THAT I AM HAVING A GIRL!! I AM SO EXCITED!!! I honestly didn't care which sex I had, I am excited to finally know what it is. I am going to start buying pretty dresses now. LOLOL.

So I went to the doctor yesterday and everything is good. She didn't comment on my weight gain, the baby has a very strong heartbeat, and my blood tests are all good. Tuesday I will find out the sex of the baby and I am sooo excited!!!
On to another point, I am going to switch doctors. Ladies, if you are not comfortable with your doctor or if they do not give you the personal care that YOU need, then you need to find another doctor. This is my first pregnancy and I want a doctor that will guide me along the process, not have me tell HER what I need to do. So look out for the update on Tuesday!!! yippy!!!

I think I felt the baby move on Thursday (3/6). It felt as if something was poking at my skin (my skin wasn't really sticking out - but that's how it felt like). My boyfriend listened to my tummy and he said it sounded like if the baby was cruising inside my stomach. He meant as if the baby was very active doing something in there. LOL. This is a very cool feeling. Sometimes it annoys me when I am trying to sleep and I get a pain in my stomach, but I feel a lot better knowing that I have a healthy baby. =)

So I went to the doctor today and she told me that I gained too much weight!! I gained 11 pounds in one month when I am suppose to gain a pound a week. I want to be healthy for myself and the baby, but is this really possible? I have to take the subway to and from work everyday and every city Mom knows that it is not an easy task. That is a work-out in itself. My doctor told me to walk more often. When the weather gets better I plan on walking more and I am going to start going swimming every weekend. Also, she told me that eating a lot of pasta, white bread, and rice will help me add weight. But honestly, who doesn't eat that stuff often? Who really doesn't eat pasta and rice. I mean I am more conscious of my weight and what I am eating. To be honest, many people are telling me I don't even look like I swallowed an olive. My breasts are bigger than my stomach so I am wondering where is the weight going? I am drinking 100% juice, more water, and I am going to eat whole wheat everything. Any advice and tips about the weight gain will help. Check out my picture on the photobook so you can see for yourself.
