We dont have baby showers over here. What is it? We go out after we have had the baby to celebrate with everyone which is what we call 'wet the babys head' Usually seperately with our friends.

In my opinion the worry regarding bumper pads doesn't need to happen until the baby is able to move around in the crib. They sleep pretty motionless for quite awhile. I used bumper pads with all 3 of my older kids and never had issues. I removed them once my babies were rolling around and moving in the crib. But for the first few months there shouldn't be too much to worry about. Again it is a personal choice but I wanted to share my experiences with you. How weird is that about jury service! Over here they like to get you out of hospital asap. if everything is ok you can go home the same day. you rarely stay in more than one night. What about you? I have been taking some indigestion stuff it does help. I see your new pic, you can see where your growing. i posted a new one yesterday did you see it. My bump is more round like a ball! Take care.

im using bumper a top of cot one, the baby sleeps at the bottom of the cot so i cant see it being a problem. iv also used them with my other 2 kids.

I'm using a bumper. Junior's not going to be able to roll over or get close to it for a few months, and there's plenty of air coming in from the gaping hole in the top of the crib. That's my opinion :) but everyone's entitled to their own

Heya momma J – I don’t know much about the crib bumpers, but I know the SIDS research association says not to use them, as baby can roll up against them, get too warm, smother etc… Course the SIDS association says NO sheets, blankets etc, either. However, I do know a whole lot of momma’s who HAVE used them and don’t have a bad thing to say about em… not to mention their kids are just fine… I think they’re really cute, am not sure yet if I will use them or not.. maybe when baby is quite a bit older and the risk of hitting it’s head is bigger, but not at birth, or for the first few months at least. thanks so much for the feedback, im so sick of sleepin until 2 in the afternoon... im scared that i will hurt the baby by takin it but i dont plan on taking it everynight. just this once... yea im curous to see others responses on the crib bumper.. hmmmmm :) congrats on your little girl!

You must feel so bloated all the time its bad enough with the baby there! And you must be going toilet every 5 minutes. nightmare. Only 7 and a half weeks to go. it will be here before we know it. Are you gonna put pictures up of your baby when she is born? I am fine, packed my hospital bag yesterday, most of it anyway! scary!!

wow you had a real rough week last week...i can imagine what you must have went through hope the scan goes well for you and your baby.....dont worry too much sometimes when they move alot inside us especially now that they dont have much room in there......it might be alittle unomfortable for them...the sprite was a good idea but maybe if you move your postion if helps them get comfortable alittle...but good idea to take extra precausions and see your dr....yeah hang in there we dont have long to go ...have you prepared for any names yet? i havent got any as yet but i like ella for a girl if thats what i have....and for a boy.um also dont know....lol they say the name comes with the baby once you meet them it automatically comes to you...but i dont know i think i better start choosing a list though.....take care of yourself and your baby hang in there! :)

I haven't done any classes at all time has flown by and now its getting too late! I will book to have a look around the maternity ward and delivery suite soon. We are thinking Bluebell for a middle name but not definitely sure yet.

That is scary. Hope everything is ok and continues that way. I have been pretty lucky and havent had any scares(not that i wanna speak too soon!) We have only got 8 weeks i am hoping it flies by. I really want to see her now! If i tense my stomach like doing a sit up or push down on something i can see the shape of the baby, have you noticed that? Take care.

Yeah i like it its really nice. Different middle name which is good. You cant really get out of jury service here. i'm not sure if i have to go there all day or not but it is generally for 2 weeks. Better not be any longer! Did i say we are calling our baby Missy? do you like it?

I lost about 12 pound when i first got pregnant and that has stayed off everywhere apart from my belly. I am now only about 13 pounds heavier than my original weight, it seems to be all belly! I thought i would be big all over. Have you had any big movements yet? I went swimming today it is supposed to be good for you and for an easier birth! Have you been at all?

thanks! yea only 9 weeks left for me! : ) I am so excited...its going by to fast to. I have been ok in this pregnancy- the doc said my pubic bone is spreading (ive been having some pain from that but only in the monrings) my back only hurts if im in the same spot for a while...i have bad days where everything bothers me lol and days where everything is great. are you having ababy shower?

yeah its annoying huh, I just got back from Spotlight and I bent over to pick something up and it felt like my pubic bone cracked in half hahha. Let me know what your doc says ;) Hope your feeling well apart from that, we got 9 weeks to go yaaay
