Dylan and I have been married since May 9th 2006! We have been together since March 20th 2004! I am so lucky to have met the man I was meant to be with at such a young age and am very thankful for this. I know some may still think I am young, maybe even too young to have a child. I know myself and my capabilities and would never have a child if I didnt believe I was ready. I know my husband will be a wonderful father and do not doubt his abilities one bit. We have our own place and we are financially secure and can provide our child with his material needs as well as unconditional love and support. I believe age is just a number and in no way does it define your maturity level. Its such a shame that society feels the need to label and make assumptions without any knowledge of the situation. Though I have not had any problems on this site, I have had many dirty looks in the baby department while shopping and do tend to get rather annoyed. This is my second pregnancy. My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 7 weeks last year. I have been extremely nervous this entire pregnancy but so far everything seems to be going great! Im looking forward to meeting my son and can't wait to hold my little man in my arms!

I had my ultrasound today.. We saw the heartbeat! Yay! 120 BPM She bumped my Due Date back to March 19 but im not too worried. She said everything looks good and the baby has a good heartbeat, measures correctly, etc. She said she cant guarantee all will be ok, but so far she sees nothing to be concerned about. It puts me at ease a little bit but of course now Im worried if 120 is kinda low since I have seen higher numbers in other ones around this time. Ahhhhhh.. its never going to stop! Im always going to worry!

Well I guess I lost my last update. Not much has happened since my last appointment. We got to hear the heartbeat for the first time at that one. I have another appointment on the 15th. I will be just shy of 18 weeks. Im not sure what that appointment will involve. I do know that I get to set up my big ultrasound at that visit. Im excited! Time is now of course going by slowly. I figure it will be around Halloween when we get to find out.
-October 15th- 18 weeks
So I had my doctors appointment today. We got to hear the heartbeat again! It was 140 like last time! I have no idea what the baby is. Somedays I feel like its a boy others I feel like its a girl. So Im totally cluless as to what Im having, but I get to find out on Monday Oct 22nd at 1:00 PM!!!!! Im so excited! I thought it would be around Halloween or the beginning of November. Now time is gonna go by so slow!!!! I cant wait!
-October 22nd- Ultrasound Day!!
Well I had my ultrasound today and.... ITS A BOY!!!! He was so cute! Definately a trouble maker! He wouldnt stop moving around so she could measure his skull. She ended up making me go pee so she could get better shots. Unfortunately no gender pics and my pics didnt turn out too well because he just wouldnt sit still! Lol. He weighs 11 oz and looks perfect! She was moving the wand around on my tummy and all the sudden she says "Oh my god! I cant believe I just caught him doing that!" So she shows us what she was talking about, and of course he was grabbing his wienie! He just wouldnt stop messing with that thing! Im so excited Im gonna have a son!
-October 25th- 19 weeks
So we have finally decided on our sons name and we are going with Blake Dylan! I love it! I wanted him to have his daddys name for his middle name and he agreed! Yay!! I still cant get over the fact Im gonna have a little boy! Its starting to finally sink in. Why it took till I saw him on that screen to make it feel real I have no idea. I guess I just never let myself get excited cause I was always worrying what if something goes wrong? I still worry like crazy though but who doesnt? We all want our children to be healthy!

-November 14th-22 weeks
I had my 22 week appointment on Monday. Im measuring 22 weeks which is perfect. Blake is growing right on schedule. My midwife went over my ultrasound results and she says all is normal. No fetal abnormalties were found, which is awesome news to hear especially since I declined the blood tests. I would still love my son either way so the tests were not going to make me decide to terminate him if something were to have been wrong. Its just wonderful to hear hes normal and healthy! Since he was so active, they did not get the best picture of his skull so I have another ultrasound on the 26th. Although she said the picture they got, they did not see any defects. They just want to make sure. Im so excited I get to see him again. Hes gonna be so much bigger. Hopefully I get some good pictures! Im gonna upload my 19 week ultrasound pics as soon as I finish this up. Hope everyone is doing great!

-November 27th 2007-24 weeks
Well yesterday I had my follow up ultrasound to check my little mans skull since last time he didnt want her taking any pictures of him. Its only been 5 weeks since I last saw him, but wow is he so big! He currently weighs 1lb 12 oz! No wonder why my backs been killing me and I cant find a comfortable position to sleep in. Hes gained 17 oz in 5 weeks! I thought he was on the bigger end but the tech and the midwife said hes prefect and right on target for my dates. I got a call today about the results and all is normal! Hes perfect! I had a new tech this time so I only got 2 pictures compared to 8 from the other lady. She kind of really pissed me off though. She didnt even turn that damn screen so I kept having to move to see him. Oh well. She did tell us that he sure is a cutie. I also made her double check to see if his wieners still there lol. Of course it is. Just wanted to make sure! Still havent gotten a chance to get my 19 weeks pictures up. I have to resize them since when I do it on here I lose my image.

-December 18th- 27 weeks
Long time since Ive updated! I finally got my 19 week ultrasound pictures up. I know it took me long enough to figure this crap out. I am so technology retarded its unreal! My husband always makes fun of me for it too. I mean I still cant even figure out a VCR let alone a DVD player. Well anyways, I had a doctors appointment on the 10th and got to do my lovely 1 hr glucose screen. Two days later, I got a call saying my iron levels were a little low (10.6) and that I need to take 325mg 2x a day. Which isnt bad and those pills are tiny! So much better than the prenatals! Well its been a week so I figured my glucose was fine since they said "No news is good news!" Well lucky me got a call yesterday saying my level was 132 and their cutoff was 130! So they scheduled the 3 hr screening for this coming Monday which is Christmas Eve. I dont know if they know that and I didnt realize it till my hubby told me. Im assuming the clinic will be closed that day but maybe Its just wishful thinking! I am so petrified of needles and I know what some are thinking, " Get over it theres alot more to come!" I just never can shake that fear. Its not the pain factor cause I have a high pain tolerance and I never worry about the pain. Its just those damn needles! Luckily Dylan goes with me to every single appointment and will be with me for this. I have another appointment on December 31st and I believe I get to start going every 2 weeks. Im trying to make a mental list of what we still need but its almost 6 am and for some god awful reason, Im still awake and my brain is kind of not functioning too well. I have a bunch of 0-3 mo stuff, I still need a few more 3-6 month, I have the crib, dresser, changing table, mattress, bedding, stroller, car seat, bottles for when Im not around, blankets, socks, mittens, hats, towels, washcloths and burp cloths, etc. I still need to get the bassinet, swing, things such as diapers and baby wash, breast pump, and now my mind is drawing blanks. Maybe I should go to sleep! Well hope everyone is doing well! Happy Holidays to all!

-January 5th-29 Weeks
Well I suppose I should update about my 3 hr glucose test. I ended up pushing it back to Dec 31st since I really didnt want to spend my X-Mas Eve getting poked and I had a prenatal appointment scheduled for the 31st, so might as well do it all in one day huh? Boy was I a nervous wreck those days leading up to that test, anytime I thought about it I felt like I needed to vomit. My husband tried so hard to reassure me all would be ok, but of course I always tend to think the worst. Well anywho, I got to the clinic at 7:45 am and waited for them to call my name, which seemed to take forever and a day! Finally I get called in and they have me pee in a cup, which was a surprise since I had not been told anything about that. I didnt think I could pee since I had just done so half an hour prior for my appointment, but as soon as I shut the door, Blake gave me a big hard punch in my bladder!! I thought I would pee myself before I got my pants down and the cup positioned but luckily I didnt! It would have been rather embarrassing walking out with wet pants. Well after I was finished in there, I sat down in the chair for my fasting blood draw. The lab tech was pretty young but nice. I kept asking her, " Are you sure youre using the butterfly needle? Do you know what youre doing?" She just kept laughing at me and so did My husband, but of course I didnt think it was very funny!! Well she got the blood out but wasnt the best at it. Usually I dont feel the baby needles but boy I felt this one! I then was asked what flavor of glucola I would like and since I had the fruit punch one for my 1 hr, I decided to try my other only option, the orange. Yuk!!! I felt nauseous drinking that crap! Oh and let me tell you, did that shit burn the hell out of my throat!!
Of course though, I got it down and was told I could have some water so I ran to the water fountain immediately! The nausea went away as soon as I washed the taste out of my mouth and we sat down and waited for an hour to pass. Well about 1/2 an hour into the wait, the lab tech I despise shows up!!! My stomach started churning cause I knew she was gonna end up doing my 2nd blood draw. I had this lady for the 1 hr glucose test and she was nothing but a pure bitch! I have very small, rolling veins and any needle bigger than the butterfly needle ends up blowing my vein. Well its getting closer to the 2nd blood draw and one by one the other techs start leaving the lab with their little portable things to draw blood from patients in the hospital. The only thing I could think was "Fuck!" Its now time for the 2nd draw and shes the only tech in the lab!!!! She calls my name, gives me a dirty look, hands me a cup and tells me to pee. After Im done, I sit in the chair and say, " If im going through 2 more of these things, I want the butterfly needle this time." She tells me " I dont even use that on babies because the blood clots up in the vial (which is BULL because they have that anti-coag shit at the bottom of the vials!) so Im not using it today!" I had no other options though, no one else was there and I needed it done. I said to her "Whatever, you supposedly know best huh? Well, I'll give you my other arm since you will blow my vein and bruise the hell out of me like last time." Of course, hurt like hell (and I have a high pain tolerance) and not even five minutes later did I have a HUGE bruise! Good thing I gave my left arm to her since my right arm is usually more generous. Well the other lab techs came back so when the other hour was up I picked one that I thought would do a good job and knew what in the hell she was doing. So I pee in the cup and sit in the chair and she uses the little needle. That stung a little worse than the fasting but I knew it would since both arms were bruised. Well off to wait for another hour to be over with. During the last hour my husband fell asleep three times reading a magazine and an elderly man starts laughing at him, which provided a little entertainment for me. Well hours up, so I pee in the cup, sit in the chair and a different tech draws my blood using the tiny needle again. That one hurt a little more than the last, but not as bad as the one in my left arm did. I was so glad to finally be done with this though! So as soon as we were done, we grabbed a coconut smoothie from the coffee shop that had tortured me with the smells of yummy food during my 3 hr wait, and ran to the Dairy Queen across the street to share an order of chili cheese fries. I know, not the healthiest thing in the world, but my husband starved himself with me and after 14 hours of no food, we were both starving and I just wanted something yummy! Well sometime during this fun test, I went to my appointment. Blood pressure was 110/73, which is the usual, no sugar in my urine, stomach measured 29 weeks, heartbeat was 145, and she believes hes head down. My total weight gain so far has been 10 pounds. Im thinking Ill gain about 15-20 by the time this is all said and done with. The best part about this whole situation is, my nurse and midwife had no idea I was doing the 3 hr! My midwife didnt even think I needed to since I was only 2 points over. I think thats scary cause who ordered the test and why wasnt MY doctor informed about it???? Well around noon that day I got a call, and I am GD free, wasnt even close to having it! All four tests came back completely normal. Well wow, this is incredibly long, but I figured I would write my story on it. So for any of those that have to do the 3 hr, yeah it sucks, but if I can do it, then you can too! For those of you who dont know, my biggest phobia is needles! I feel proud of myself for going through with this completely, cause everyone thought I would only make it to 2 draws! Well I hope everyone is doing great! Only 2 1/2 more months left!!!!!!

Feb 17 2008- 35 Weeks and some odd days
Well I had an appointment this past Monday. They did my Group B Strep Test, so I should find the results out at my next appointment which is this coming Monday. Last week, My midwife checked my cervix and Im dilating, she could feel his head with her 2 fingers (no speculum was used), my cervix is softening and his head is engaging. She seemed rather surprised that I was making progress being a day shy of 35 weeks, maybe I wont make it to my due date? She didnt give me numbers but I get to see the other midwife (which I dislike her) since mine is gonna be out of town due to her mothers emergency surgery. I also get my blood drawn to test my hemoglobin levels. Last blood draw yay!! No one thinks Ill make it till March. I am huge in my opinion, and in alot of pain. It feels like this lil man is trying to chew his way out lol. My crotch has never been in so much pain! Well, luckily if he does come early, we are fully prepared with the exception of putting the carseat in the car. I think we will do that sometime later in the day though. i am just getting o anxious to meet this little man, but worried that he will be in the NICU if he comes now. Well hope everyones doing great! Ill update after Monday sometime!

I've been feeding my daughter cereral twice a day for about 3 weeks now. She started on the rice (not to fond of it) then the barley and now is on the oatmeal. LOVES, LOVES the Barley and Oatmeal, no reactions. Altough, doc said to start on the veggies and fruits when she is 5 - 6 months old. Will start in about 2 weeks.

Landen's tongue tied. At the front of his mouth, there's a tiny,thin piece of skin that connects his tongue to the lower part of his mouth, so if we don't get it clipped, he'll possibly have speech problems later. It's so close to his gums tho that he can't really chew on anything except his hands to help him teeth because his tongue gets in his way. It's a simple process on the way they clip it, they don't even put the babies to sleep to do it. He was 26 inches last time we went to the dr. He's so spoiled-rotten!

At Landen's last appt, he weighed 15 lbs 4 oz. That was a week ago. He's probably up to 16 lbs now. He also has to get his tongue clipped. I swear when I come home from work and haven't held him in hours, it feels like he's done gained another pound. I get soo amazed when I see younger babies and they look soo much more smaller than Landen is/was. I do not remember him being as small as some babies, even babies who are 8 wks old now. But He's always been a lil chubberz! Time flies when you have a baby. I know it seems like a long way away but I cannot wait til Halloween,Christmas,and his first bday.I don't want to him to grow up too fast, but I just can't wait to see all his "firsts". Is "Blakey-pooh" teething yet? (Sorry I just had to call him that)

his appointment went ok. He had tog et 4 shots again and some liquid medicine..I don't know. He has started on frutis and he's been on rice cereal forever. now we're just spoon feeding it and adding the fruits in with it. we kinda started him on the fruits a little early too. Is Blake teething yet. Do yall have a Portrait Innovations in your area? If so, you should really check them out. They're awsome. Expensive but awsome.I'll have to post some pics from there on here.

Aaw poor Blake. How did yall know he had a fever? Was he just crying alot? When Landen was 2 weeks old,my MOM of all people freaked out cause it was his first time falling into a deep sleep and it was like he was barely breathing,which is normal-he really did look lifeless,tho,so she freaked me out,well we woke him up, and I still wanted to go to Children's Hospital..They thought we were crazy They asked "first time parents?" I was like "yea" lol. and they said that he was probably just in a deep sleep and breathing lightly, but his nose was c logged up.But I hope Blake gets to feeling better. I don't know how much Landen weighs now, I think he weighs about 14 or 15 lbs. His next appt. is July 10th,so I'll let you know.He's still eating cereal, but we have him eating rice cereal with applesauce out of jars, or just applesauce, or bananas, so he might weigh more than what I think. Have you started Blake on cereal yet?

How's little Blake-y doing? I bet he's getting big and talking and smiling and laughing alot. Landen loves for people to talk to him and he will "talk" back. And he's all full of smiles.All his sleepers and clothes that he use to wear are so little on him now, He's growing up soo fast. He's still in 0-3 months tho in shorts/pants. He took his first trip to the beach. All his swimming trunks were too big. He didn't get to go swimming or enjoy the beach much except when the sun was going down. So I can't wait til next yr. So How are you and your hubby and your lil Blake doing? Hope yall are all doing good.

OHHH I am checking the mail EVERYDAY waiting for the letter. I look at pictures from when I first held my baby boy and then like 2 days after he was born and he changed SO much in that shot time. I cannot wait to see how he looks now--even being in normal clothes and not a hospital outfit!

Hey, Thanks for all the info on the IUD. I was really thinking about getting it so I woudlnt have to worry about a daily pill. It seems so convienent. BUT I chickened out and got the mini-pill. I just feel unsure about having something in me that I cant even see. How do I know its even still there later?? And if I want to TTC again I would have to go have it removed instead of just quitting takeing pills. My medicaid just ran out too so I would have to pay up front for followup appoinments or if something went wrong. Soooo, anyways I just got the stupid pill. lol. When I stop breastfeeding I plan to go on the patch. Easier to remember and easy to quit. lol. Anyways....Glad to here that Blake is doing well! Seems like you are doing everything right mommy!! Kylie is doing wonderful. She is only waking once in the night to eat lately and she is getting so big. I love that shes growing and healthy but I hate that shes getting big so fast!! I want her to be little forever!! :( She is already in size 1 diapers and has outgrown her newborn clothes. She wears mostly 0-3 now. She also smiles and coos at me all day. It just melts my heart to see her so happy. She is a very content baby and is as healthy as can be. I am sooooo blessed!!!

Landen eats 4-6 oz of formula every 2-3 hrs. I do his cereal in the mornings about 9 or 10 and at night about 8:30 or 9. I do 2 oz of formula, and mix about 4 tblspoons of cereal. He is sleeping about 4-7 hours now at night, and during the day I'm lucky if he sleeps an hour. he usually is fully awake at 10 and then after that he takes about 15 minute catnaps throughout the day. It's soo boring staying cooped up in the house all day, but at the same time it's hard to get the babies out and about. Oh and Landen has this toy that connects to his carseat,and it his these little toys that hang from it and stuff and he spins them!! It's soo amazing.. They're grow up soo fast.

Sorry for all the comments...Have you started Blake on cereal yet? I know you're not suppose to start them on it til 4 months old, but everybody was pushing me to start him on it.(I hate how everybody has their own opinion about what to do with your own baby..you know?) so I gave in and started him on it. I mix it with 2 oz of formula in the morning and at night before he goes to bed. And to me, he doesn't spit up with it,and I think it helps with his stomach aches when he gets them.... ALso Oh goodness,Landen is sooo spoiled. He will barely sleep in his own crib or bassinet now.He has to sleep on mine or my husband's chest. And if we think he's asleep and put him down,he cries!! And once we pick him back up, he'll go right back to sleep on our chest. Is Blake like that? I started the habbit when Landen was just like 2 weeks old, not knowing it would spoil him and make him want to do it all the time...lol.Oh well when he's like 5 and 10 he won't be able to anymore.
