hey everyone. my name is Tiffany and I found out I was pregnant in September, and I am due in June 2008. This is my 2nd baby and I am a newly wed, just got married in April of this year. I have a 4 year old named Lauryn who is from a previous marriage.

My husband and I are excited beyond belief~ we started trying after the wedding so it only took about 5 months, which is awsome.

This pregnancy has been tough. With my dAughter, it was smooth sailing the whole way with no nausea or anything, but this time it is like night and day compared to my 1st. I have been battling nausea and fatigue since week 5 and I feel very tired all of the time, so its been tough, and I just cant wait for the 1st trimester to be over with because its wearing me out big time.

keep in touch, i would love to chat~ and i can answer any questions for all you first time mamas out there. anytime!

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

So I'm assuming they never mentioned seeing 3 lines (which is the labia). That's so crazy! Are the stores good about exchaning clothes? I've been wondering throughout the entire pregnancy if they are wrong about the gender, will the stores let me exchange things without a receipt. How are you guys adjusting?

newmamabear - Monday, 2 June
whoa! Did you have your gender ultrasound at 20 weeks? That's quite a surprise! Congratulations!

rochelle - Monday, 2 June
Oh my goodness what are the chances!!! I cant believe it I hope that you guys are still excited about your new little one! Congrats on your baby make sure you post the pics!

tangerina - Wednesday, 28 May
did he say before that he would do a VBAC? it's so hard to find doctors who will allow that in Georgia.

tangerina - Wednesday, 28 May
cant they give you a couple more weeks? i mean, you're only 38 weeks ... something can still happen.

missygirl - Wednesday, 28 May
That's too bad about your news....I too am closed and baby is high up but upon checking me out he said my pelvis is 'smallish' and pubic bone is there but they shouldn't be a problem.....that does not mean I'm out of the woods yet though and I too would LOVE to give birth naturally if possible but friends of mine who have had c-sections say it's so great and recovery afterwards is not nearly as bad as people say. Plus, once you have baby in your arms, you forget how they came into the world, just that they are with us. Hang in there!

kerrin - Wednesday, 28 May
I am soo sorry you didn't get the news you hoped for, I think after ur little one arrives it will all be worth it and you can always deliver another one through the same scar if thats of any consolation, I was told last week that my baby was still way up there and my cervix hasn't lined up w/ my vagina so I may not get any good news tomorrow. i'll keep u in my thoughts and prayers.

I was just wondering because I had one with my first as well and was just curious as to what your experience was. My daughter came early at 37wks, but was too big for my birth canal (8lbs already) so she got stuck and I had to have a section anyway (which I was supposed to have to begin with because of her size, but not until 39wks). Fortunately, my experience was pretty good and I had a fast recovery. My daughter had breathing problems also which was attributed to the section and her being only 37wks. That was scary so I kind of know how you feel. I don't know what I would've done if I had to leave her at the hospital for 10 days though - you're very brave! As far as the pain meds go, in case you're interested, my OB is now using a new post-surgery pain reliever called ON-Q Painbuster (if you end up having to have another section). Our hospital just began using it a couple of months ago, but apparently it's the best thing ever for surgery (not just sections). Your doc inserts a catheter into your surgical site when he's closing and then the medicine is automatically pumped only into your surgical site for about five days. It's NON-NARCOTIC and doesn't affect the rest of your body at all. No side effects like drowsiness, nausea, constipation, or transfer to breastmilk! My MW told me that when she's talked to women when she's taken their catheters out, they've all raved about how pain-free they were so that's what I'm going to use when I have mine on 5/27 (if I last that long!). If you want more info, the website they gave me is www.askyoursurgeon.com. I am still a little anxious though about the procedure because first time around it was an emergency situation so I didn't really have time to think about it and this time it's so completely scheduled that it's giving me time to go through everything (probably too many times). I'm sorry you had such a bad experience - I hate to hear about anyone going through what you did. Hopefully, you'll be able to either do a VBAC or have a better anesthesiologist this time around. I'll keep you and your little one in my prayers...keep in touch if you have time to write!

Hey -
Just read your post about your upcoming c-section (mine is scheduled for 5/27) and I was wondering why was your first section such a bad experience? Just curious...write if you have time!

mommy2boys - Wednesday, 14 May
With my first, I was closed, thick, and high until I went into labor. In fact, I only dilated to 1cm until I finally got my epidural. Then I QUICKLY dilated and had him within just a few hours.

This time is different. I have already started dilating a bit, and my cervix is thinning. Have an appt. tomorrow so we'll see. Good luck!

bailey - Wednesday, 14 May
In answer to your question about being dilated, there is no set time for it. It happens when your body is ready for labor. I know how frustrating it can be, I'm waiting to!!! As far as your doctor scheduling a C-section, if you are able to have a vaginal birth why wouldn't they just induce you instead and see how you progress? I would ask for cervidil before another C-section!!! Well I hope I have helped......

Classic dream - especially about the rice !

I too get major hip pain at night and am constantly switching from side to side. It's quite difficult to do the switch though and by the time morning comes I just can't bear the thought of lying down anymore! Anyways, not long to go now... take care and good-luck with everything.

tlc - Sunday, 4 May
a book i have says that stabbing pains in the vagina are the baby pressing on a nerve.

bellamaphone - Sunday, 4 May
some good tips to stimulate labour that my midwife told me are sex (semen has natural hormones in it that softens the cervix) going for really long walks (like over 4kms), nipple stimulation, and castor oil (but I have heard some negative things about this one) Also My midwife has me taking Evening Primrose Oil to help soften the cervix now. Hope these are helpful!!

samlib - Saturday, 19 Jan
AND i see your husband's name is PAtrick, i have 2 friends that want to name their babies Patrick if they have boys! the one is pregnant the other not yet...she isn't finding out the sex..her first is a girl and her name is Reagan Eileen..pretty name too...too many choices!!! glad we got that out of the way, it's fun to help others tho!!!

samlib - Saturday, 19 Jan
hello...and congrats!! when i had thought of names before i was even pregnant my choices were Emma Jean..my grandmothers name is Jean, and Ava Joan, my Mom's name was Joan...My husband liked Kara and then he said Mara Joan and it just stuck! so i LOVE all the names you picked!! and i also LOVE Madison!! i said IF we ever have another and it's a girl i like that Madison Jean....my niece's name is Avery so that was another reason we didn't pick Ava, i thought too close and didn't want my sis-in-law to be upset ya know? well good luck! let me know what you decided!!! best wishes!!!!

knockoutmom - Thursday, 17 Jan
i had my gender scan and everything looked perfect! i also feel movement (or so i think it is) really down low as well. good luck at your appt!!

pamallhoney - Wednesday, 9 Jan
I totally agree with you I am not having any unnecessary U/Ss. I had 3 with my oldest and he's fine. And the other 3 have had either 1-2 each. All seem normal, but overly moody. Doubt that has to do with U/S. Well blessings to you and your baby.

stephaniesc - Saturday, 5 Jan
