~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey everyone! My name is Cristin and I'm a first time mommy. I have a fabulous boyfriend who already has 2 girls. I found out I was pregnant right after Thanksgiving 2007 and as of today, Feb. 7th, 2008, I'm 15.4 weeks pregnant.
I had some crazy bleeding for 3 weeks after I found out about the baby, but nothing since, thank God! My pregnancy so far has been blissful in my opinion. I'm terrified of child birth though. I'm having trouble understanding why pregnancy is so easy compared to my menstral cycles, lol. Anyway, I am looking forward to meeting other mommy's and sharing our stories.
I have also created a baby blog outside of this site. Check it out!
no worries about chicken pox. i teach ballet to little kids, and we had an outbreak at the studio, and my doctor said it was okay for me to teach anyways...the one you need to be careful about is called Fifth Disease....
mumofsix - Saturday, 28 June
You should be just fine. No need for your BF daughter to stay away.
number2intheoven - Saturday, 28 June
No, you're fine to be by your bf's daughter. Your only danger is if you had a chicken pox outbreak....but you're immune so no worries.
imamommy - Saturday, 28 June
call your dr about the pox. i had blood work that came back 0 immunity to them even know i had them. this is just during pregnancy. most likely this is something your doctor would have mentioned though.
Hey - Saw your post and I am the same way!! I barely got anything from my registry during my showers, so I've just finished some mass baby purchases in the stores and online. I don't feel remotely ready yet with the room and am still needing other little things. Definitely starting to hit the "Oh Crap - He can come any day now....I need to move it!" mode. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.....I'm actually hoping he stays in for another 3-4 weeks so that I can make sure I'm prepared!!
yeah I am hoping too that they will check to see if I am dialated at all!! I think that I am losing my mucas plug slowly so maybe that will trigger them to check!! Cross your fingers!!!!
crashunter - Wednesday, 25 June
actually i was talking to my mom about not being checked and my mother in law, and of course they are both nurses and they said that its a good thing because the more you are checked the more chances you have to get an infection. it would be nice to know what efacement and dialation we are but would rather not know if it could cause infection. our babies will come when they want anyways so as long as everything looks good on the outside im sure we will be fine..maybe we are the lucky ones!!!
I agree about the water park ;( It's a bummer! You need to find one with a lazy river!
I also have had some gas.. not a lot but when I get it my belly hurts all over so bad! Like sharp pains! It's terrible!
Good luck with everything!
Angiepangie - Saturday, 14 June
Sorry mommywonder, but the water park won't let you get on the slides...I guarantee it. Its a liability issue. I was recently at a theme park and there are a million disclaimers on the rides (and in the water park portion) for health issues, one of them is that preggos like us aren't allowed on anything but pretty much the wading pool! LOL!
meekadeeka - Thursday, 12 June
its a big adjustment ... I feel so slow all the time but I am excited for the end result! a baby!!
dawniek - Sunday, 8 June
saabgirl88 - Sunday, 8 June
crazietink25 - Thursday, 5 June
peytonsmommy22 - Thursday, 5 June
lol its so annoying! Oh well...if they had to be 40 weeks pregnant at the end of July they'd understand. Good luck and congrats =)
saabgirl88 - Tuesday, 3 June
I just thought I would let you know (sorry just read your post, don't get downstairs often) that cramps that come and go or even just stay for a while and are felt in the back, low back...bottom area should be mentioned to your doctor. I am 32 weeks, and diolated to a one and 50% effeced. They have me on med. and bedrest (why i don't go down stairs much) and I am now having that type of pain. I would atleast let them know, but if it gets worse don't wait to tell them at your next appt. call. Not trying to scare you just letting you know what I am dealing with. Good luck.
amandareese86 - Thursday, 29 May
Hello! Well, it looks like we're experiencing braxton hicks contractions! My doctor was out yesterday in a surgery, so my nurse told me all about it. She said real labor contractions reach a high peak of pain, and then suddenly it just disappears. Like falling off a cliff. BH contractions come and go, and taper down, like rolling down a hill. It's funny because at first I thought it was gas too. She said everything is okay, as long as there isn't bleeding. Hope this helps. a
