Hi! My name is Jennifer and I am expecting my 3rd child! We just found out last week that IT'S A GIRL!! :) We are really excited!! My oldest is 8 and my youngest is 5. We weren't planning on having anymore children but when you've been married 10 years it really doesn't matter. LOL. Congrats to all the new mommies to be!!! :)

March 14, 2008

Well, I'm approaching 20 weeks. Only 2 days to go!!! I can't believe it. I don't think I look 5 months pregnant! LOL! Which I suppose is a good thing. Next appt is on the 27th. I love going and hearing our little girls heartbeat. :) My husband is really excited about this little one. Not that he wasn't about the other 2 but, this one is just different. I think girls do that to our family! HAHA! Our first child was a girl and she changed our lives at a young age. We were scared to death! As most young married couples, we had a LOT of problems trying to learn each other, raise a child, and work. It was hard. But things ironed out eventually. When our son came, it was so fast. Life was flying by and we still were working on knowing how to be good parents. Now, almost 9 years after our daughter we're stronger than ever, we've figured out the major factor to good parenting (GOD), and our family is growing again. We're really trying to enjoy this pregnancy and make it fun, rather than a stressfull time. I surely never thought we'd have anymore children but, at the same time I'm greatly excited about it. The only thing I ever knew for sure that I wanted to be was a mom. Careers were important but took second to that. I can't wait to meet our new little girl!!! :)

Went to the Dr. today. :) Gained 2 more pounds. Thats all good because I've only gained a total of 8 so far. Got to hear her hearbeat today. I always love that. Though, this time she was qutie feisty. LOL. She wiggled and flipped all over the place and I was covered in that jelly. Then, once she was still, she decided to kick the doppler several times just to show us who's boss. The nurse and I were both laughing quite a bit. Measured my belly, Doc says all is good. I get to take that nasty glucose test. Ugh. Hate that. But, I'll do it. LOL. My next appt. is on April 24th. :)

April 17, 2008

So, we rescheduled our Dr.'s Appt for May 1. This is due to insurance coverage and if I wait till then the visit will be covered. Man, that is a stressfull thing!! Fortunately my state has a program for pregnant women that is not Medicaid. We've never qualified for any assistance like that so we got lucky here. It's a huge load off of our shoulders! It's still so unreal to me. I can't believe in a few short months we'll be having a baby. A tiny, completely dependant, amazing baby. I've wanted this but it still hasn't sunk in. I can't explain it. I can feel her bouncing around as we speak but its all so surreal. I think we've finally picked a name. I didn't think that would happen! haha. So, here's to Gabriella. :)

April 21, 2008

Just wanted to talk about how active our little girl has become. It's almost as if she's doubled in size the last few days and has NO room! LOL! My belly shakes and thumps all the time and it's no longer these light taps...it's KERPOW!!haha. But, I'm ok with it. I'd rather feel her than not. Only 12 days till 3rd trimester. I just can't believe how time is flying. It's all so amazing. So, the baby shower will be early July. I think May is to fast and June is FAR to busy. My hubby and I are Youth Leaders (pastors in training..haha) and we have a completely insane month!! haha. I'm kinda sad that I won't get to go to camp this year but hey, there's always Universal Studios in September! YAY!! I've also started a drama/sign team and thats more work than I thought. We did our first presentation and I think it went well. :) Anyway, thats it for now. Dr. appt on 5/1/08..ttyl!

Went to the Dr. last Thursday and also had my glucose test. I was shocked to leatn that I had gained 8 pounds in 5 weeks. LOL! The nurse assured me it was normal and then the Dr. came in and decided to have my thyroid looked at. Now, mind you at the beginning of my pregnancy he wasn't at all concerned about it and said that as long as my blood work came out normal there would be no reason to mess with it until after delivery. Well, I have an appt. for that on the 13th. On the bright side, I got to hear Gabriella's heartbeat and things sounds great! I can't wait to meet her but I'm not rushing. I definitely want her healthy. I will update next week on the surgeon for my thyroid and tell you how things go!

Awwww, you have beautiful kids, and a beautiful place!! Where abouts are you from? We're from Alberta and the closest town we're to is Clareshom. You're so lucky to have finished place!! I grew up on my family farm outside Calgary, then we made the move to Manitoba, to my grandpas farm and we lived there for 2 years, then moved to our stubble field where we live now. We bought it as just a bare quarter, we had to drill the well, build the barn, we brought in a mobile home to live in while we decide what to build and get the cash for it. While I was pregnant, we fenced and fenced and moved rocks and fenced some more. We also planted 200 trees last year. It's tuff trying to build your home while either being pregnant or having a new baby! LOL! Thank God he's a good baby! Thanks for writing me a note! It's nice to chat with someone who has the same intrests!

Hey there, I love the name Ella too and was toying with the idea of naming our daughter that, except it means "come" in Greek (we live in Greece), so my DH nixed that one pretty quick! LOL. All the best xx

The same thing happened to my mom, she said she had a yeast infection when she went and they told her that it wouldn't matter but her pap came back abnormal and when they did a biopsy, there was nothing wrong. Only conclusion that they could draw was that the infection, did in fact, messed with the results.
I had a yeast infection when I went in for the pap, I mentioned it to my gyn because it was a course of antibiotics that gave it to me. She proceeded with the pap. I'm hoping that's all it is but I don't want to have to endure a biopsy just to find out that it was an abnormal pap due to a silly yeast infection. I'm wondering if they'll do a second pap instead. I guess all I can do is ask and find out.

Good points. See I have PCOS and as a result I am so overweight. They want me to have an epidrual as soon as I enter the door, because they worry it may be hard to get in if I am in active labor. I go to a high risk maternal and fetal medicine specialist. My doctor will be gone the entire month I deliver. I live 1.5 hours from the hospital I will have the baby in. The anastesia people have one view, the doctors another. It's frustrating. I want to feel supported by both and encouraged to go natural. The anastesia people were defiantely advocates of the epidrual. I just want to beable to do this on my own. I think I can. I think God will give me strength.

abby07-18-08 - Wednesday, 30 April
Thats what I want to do! Go natural!! Cause I am scared of the needle. See everyone does natural. it isnt that bad ..right :-)

abby07-18-08 - Wednesday, 30 April
That's great. Pray for me. I met with the anastesiologist and nearly passed out about the epidural..did you have epidural?? oy vey!28 weeks, 3 lbs!

firsttimemomtobe - Tuesday, 29 April
LoL! I feel your pain with the whole shaving thing!! I'm like okay, this could be bad. I'm not brave enough to take a razor to my skin blindly either, nor ask for help! I've been wearing capris and skirts to my knees so I've been cheating and shaving only half way! Ahhhhh...gotta love the joys of pregnancy!

tamian - Tuesday, 29 April
LOL- your post made me laugh so hard!!

momof2oneonway! - Tuesday, 29 April

I guess the youth group at my old church, cic, did compete in the drama. our new church has no kids or youth except the pastors right now- we are in a phase of growth!

Awesome about God sending new families.Ask and we'll get the nations!!

angelamouzakitis - Friday, 25 April
Thanks...it is getting better and she is latching more like a champ, but I don't appear to be producing enough milk for her to gain the weight she needs (she was 5-8) so the doc suggested I supplement with formula to bulk her up a little and my milk will come in more...thanks for checking in. It is really rough, but i'm getting there. I also made the mistake of thinking that I didn't need to take maternity and I'm paying for that.

abby07-18-08 - Friday, 25 April
yes I think they have a district summer camp- the youth just got back from the annual youth convention where they competed in the arts etc..

check out my old church www.cicalive.com its great!

I do a lot of missionary work overseas..i love third world countires!

Glad to have a connection with you! we should be prayer partners though this preggo thing. The drs said I wouldnt get preggo easy - i have PCOS. but God had different plans- the FIRST night of the honeymoon!!!!!!

abby07-18-08 - Friday, 25 April
Ha. Yes I am also AG. I finished my Berean Global University courses and now am eligible to apply through the district for credentials. What district are you? I am in Southern New England. I have an article coming out in the Pentecostal Evangel at the end of the summer, so I am very excited! Right, the pastor title is like a job titles where as once you have your credentials you are "official" I guess. It seems silly I guess but I like Ag because they really know who is in minsitry and have accountability. we just moved churches too. I came from a huge AG church (is MA that means about 300) and my husband was vineyard. I was so upset about this but took it to God and sure enough, after I stopped complaning he opened the door for us to be part of a new church (30 people now!), a mile from our home which we both love. it's not the same as my home church, but we are called there for a season. I am called to administrative pastoring - like running a church - so this is really great place for us right now! Check out my website www.michellelarowe.com
my husband is excited- church softball league starts tonight!

abby07-18-08 - Friday, 25 April
are you with AG? The way you said credentials made me think so....i am eligible for mine now, i just have to apply and see what God has. I write christian parenting books, funny enough. MIL after baby should be interesting!

abby07-18-08 - Thursday, 24 April
hey there,
I am a pastor in training too, so I thought I'd write. It is so hard God has really showed me to look at my mother in law as a sister in christ, rather than a mother. it has helped a lot!

kathrynb10 - Thursday, 24 April
HI, I read your post about MIL living in your basement. My FIL has lived in our basement for the last seven months. I am having SUCH a difficult time adjusting and have started to hate this man. He is soooo negative and critical. Plus he is a smoker. Although he doesn't smoke in the house, it is just a constant issue. The relationship with my husband has suffered since he has moved in and that is what makes me the saddest. How long did it take you to adjust to your MIL? Do you have any pointers or advice?
