Hi All!!

My name is Megan. I'm expecting my first in July. It came as quite a shock and is still something i'm a bit overwhelmed about BUT the excitement is winning over anything else. I know it's early but i'm already picking names and talking about decorating nurseries. My biggest fear (of course) is m/c so i'm holding my breath for 12 weeks!!

So here`s my first exciting update.... I`m now getting used to the fact that i`m going to be doing all this as a single mom. Having heard Baby Bump's heart beat for the first time this morning (156BPM) It made me realize it `s the first of many things that Gavin is going to miss out on. It was such a high hearing that beat! I still can`t wipe the grin off my face>

January 17th, 2008

So today was the first Ultrasound!! It was sooo amazing!! Now I have ANOTHER SURPRISE!! (as if there are not enough so far) I am 2 weeks MORE pregnant!! So instead of being due on July 27th i'm due on July 13th!! I'm looking forward to meeting baby bump 2 weeks sooner and not being super pregnant during the super heat of the summer!! Apparently everything looks good and he's super super active!! Wouldn't sit still at all during the exam!! I'll get photos up soon....Looks like I watch too much CSI as baby is face down in the uterus right at the bottom with arms and legs "tied" behind back. Too FUNNY!!!

Ok, so again i've been very bad at keeping up my blog regularly (but i'm new to this stuff so bear with me). I had another PreNatal exam last Friday (during a very bad snowstorm - so getting there was an adventure). Both baby and I are doing well. Blood pressure is great and I have only gained 6lbs since conceiving. My doctor was frowning, but I think this is good no? Baby's heartbeat is at 144 BPM. I'm still really really wishing for a boy but at least I have a girl's name now!! Cole John for a boy and Reese Elenor for a girl. The sperm donor has officially been cut out of my life. He did not give any support and all he would do is disrespect me and be completely inconsiderate and was just a complete negative drain on everything because all he thinks about is himself. Since cutting him out over a week ago life has been fantastic!! I'm getting amazing support from friends and from my family and everything is working out! I am sooo happy now and really excited about the pregnancy and the birth!! I get to find out the sex of my baby on February 20th (as long as he/she cooperates with the U/S) I can't wait!!!

So yup!! It's a boy!! Cole John!! (My father is already calling him CJ!!) He may also grow up to be an exhibitionist LOL!! It was the first thing the Ultrasound Technician saw on her screen and all lil Cole keep doing was spreading his legs and showing her again. I'm guessing that my stern talking to him the night before had him wanting to make sure Mommy got her question answered! I'm sooo happy that my feeling was accurate. I have already been going a little crazy with the purchases. It's unbelievable....and so real now....I can't wait to meet my little man (and put him in the little outfits i've been getting)!!!!

It's been awhile since I've had an update here (i'm so not born to be a blogger) but I thought since today I got the labour prediction done I could post that.

Madame Zaritska, our resident clairvoyant, wants to help you prepare for the arrival of your child. Here she does her best to predict certain aspects of your labor and birth experience.

What she senses for you
The day you deliver, outside will be windy. Your baby will arrive in wee hours of the morning .

After a labor lasting approximately 17 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 13 ounces, and will be 19-1/2 inches long. This child will have blue eyes and a lot of hair.

So I don't know how excited I am about the 17 hours part...but the blue eyes?? Definitely!! I know it's all a game but she got the boy part right anyways.... =0) Life has been going well. I think i've settled on how i'm going to be decorating the nursery. I wanted something that even when Cole was a toddler it wasn't too baby-ish as i'm really not into all the cheesy baby stuff. The main colour on the walls will be a Creme Chocolate, Dark Mohagany Furniture and Splash of Polka Dot colour in Peacock Blue, Emerald Green and Sunkist Orange. I'm excited as the wall colour goes on tomorrow!! Cole himself is doing well. Seems to like mostly orange food (Cheezwhiz, Cheddar, Macaroni & Cheese, Cantaloupe, Peaches, Oranges, Orange Punch, C-Plus Orange.) I'm surprised my skin doesn't have an orange hue!! He's a very active boy now but is nice enough to still let me get a full night of sleep. (I think we sleep at the same time!) My doctor was concerned with me gaining 18lbs so far so I have upped my walking and am now doing light 8lbs weight lifting for my arms. I figure getting them all toned up will not only help prepare me for lugging around baby stuff but also burn some calories!! Okay...now time to get back to work and stop this novel!! I hope everyone is doing well!!

Yeah I come from all girls too my family was shocked when I had a boy! I was happy I wanted a boy! They seem to be so much more laid back! Plus with mommy boys are always good. My boy is a mommy boy so bad. If his dad tries to hold him or anything he goes mommy!!!! Sometimes I feel bad for him but I also love it! Yeah it makes for a busy day with that many kids but I make more watching kids then I would at a job or close too and I can have any day off and have my kids at work all day Only thing I wish is that I could watch them at my house not at theres that way I could do my house hold cleaning why working not after work when I am already dead! We are coming up close to our due date I cant believe its only 2 months away!

Hey, My weekend was not so good I feel like crap still! I threw up Sunday and It just went down hill from there! Every time I eat I think I am going to be sick Like I am way too full I just can't wait till I feel a little better! I am sooo tired! I can't wait till our babies are here, it feels like I have been pregnant forever. However, I thnk God for letting me be pregnant and Have this baby! But, I am so sick of being sick! Hope your feeling better than me!lol

I am so relieved. When I washed his clothes I grouped like colors since they were new. I was being overly precautious. They would have all been fine. I did wash them in cold because I don't want the newborn stuff to shrink. It already looks too small to fit any human!! I used a Tide free detergent. I have a high efficiency washer so I couldn't use Dreft or anything. So Tide free has no perfumes or anything. I also found dryer sheets that are free of dyes and fragrances. It is all for sensitive skin. I have even started washing all of our stuff with it since the baby will be all over us. I have pretty sensitive skin anyways. You are so close to done with work! YAY! I actually have had a lot of health problems the last few years and am technically "disabled." So I have not worked for the past few years. I can't imagine having to work on some of these days while feeling the bad sides of pregnancy. But I have had back/spine problems before pregnancy and OUCH! It is killing me! It sounds like you are on a good schedule with the baby stuff too. I want to rest up those last few weeks too!! It is the last days of peace FOREVER.. Scary huh?

A boy that is great. My boy has been so easy. I do day care and I watch a 2 boys and a girl and OH MY BOYS ARE SO EASY. They say potty training with a boy is hard mine is 2 years and 2 months and done all but night time! Girl have attitude from the start and are so much more mean and not as easy going. I am hoping this one I am having is another boy! Yeah I feel you on the being tired watching the three kids plus having my own is very hard i am running around after someone all day nap is the only brake i get and I still have a 4 month old baby that doesnt nap at the same time! But I am done June 12th!! I AM COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS!

I DID IT!! I got my organizing done. All his clothes are washed and either hung up or folded. I am waiting on an armoire but it is all in piles that can be easily put away. Oh it feels so good to be done with that. I have been dreading it for awhile.

First off about the doppler. I paid with a credit card because it was an online thing. I have the email receipt though still. They charged me monthly for what was supposed to be a one time charge. And they are just taking out of my account. I caught it on the last 2 statements just to be sure. Oh I will MAKE SURE I get my money back. We are talking like $300! I am planning on organizing EXACTLY like you did. I had recently figured that was the best way, instead of even going by sizes. Hanging the outfits and putting onesies and all extras in bins or drawers. We are on the same wavelength. I just want to be sure it is easy when he gets here and I have to change him all quickly! I roll out of bed too!! And forget about if I am on the floor trying to get up. It is a few step process now. I don't know how people live with a beer belly either. All this weight is downright painful! That is soo GREAT that you had a baby shower! I am so happy for you. Gift cards are perfect too. I had a shower last week at Chip's work and they all pitched in together and gave us cash. With all the rude people out there it is nice to see some kindness still out there, you know? Gives you some hope for this world we are bringing children into.

Well, I have been pretty jealous this weekend to be honest! He is at the beach partying it up and I am stuck here, hugely pregnant! I am glad he can get it out of his system though. I am going to put him to work when he gets back. The nice part of being alone is that my house actually stayed clean all weekend, probably got cleaner! Well, I have cleaned all the clothes.. But that was the easy part. The hard part is organizing them. There is soo much (grandmas!) and some of the 6 month stuff looks smaller than the 3 month stuff.. So you really can't just go by what the tag says. I don't know what to hang vs. what to put in drawers. I am overwhelmed just thinking about it! I got my bedding cleaned and put on which was great. My bro bought it for us. I have a few pics up. It is all seeming more real now. Once the shower is over and I finish buying what he needs I will be so ready to be done with pregnancy! I didn't pop out till recently but I feel like the belly grows daily. And he feels bigger in there! How are you holding up? How was your weekend? Oh I am so angry too, I have to call and bitch at this doppler company I rented from back in January. They grossly overcharged me. It seems like some companies are out to screw pregnant women. When we are in a vulnerable place as is. I need all the money I can get too, I need more! It is so expensive.
