**EMMA IS HERE! SHE WAS BORN 12/15/07 VIA C-SECTION AFTER 12 HOURS OF LABOR. I'M SO IN LOVE......SHE IS MY ANGEL SENT FROM HEAVEN!**

Hi ladies! I am SOOO happy to finally be pregnant with my first baby! I've waited and prayed for a long time for this blessing to come! I was married last September and we decided to try this April - and what do you know - I got pregnant the first try! As absolutely happy as I am, this has been a rough first trimester. I didn't know morning sickness would be this bad! And I can barely stay awake!

I'm due New Year's Eve! We will find out the sex in August. I can't wait to start buying cute little baby things! My husband is so cute - already talking to my belly. He's great helping around the house - I couldn't do this with out him!

I'm looking for work from home ideas cause I want to stay home with my baby. Let me know if you have any suggestion! Good luck to you all and congrats on your little miracles too!

My 13 week belly!

My 16 week belly!

20 weeks! Half way there-WOOHOO!

Update - my boss said I can work from home! WOOOOOOOHOOOOO! Now I don't have to miss a minute of my baby's life. I'm so happy/excited.

Second trimester has been much much better - no more morning sickness, but back aches are the worst! I felt the baby at 1am a few weeks ago and he/she kicked for an hour straight! But nothing since. I feel like its a girl and my husband told me last week he thinks it's a girl too! Emma Lai...I can't wait to meet you!

5 month update: IT'S A GIRL! HURRAY. Hubby and I are SO happy! Check out the pics in my photobook.

6 month pic: After my car accident :^(

Update: My employer changed their mind and will not let me work from home. Now I am 7 months pregnant and looking for a new job!.

Update: Boo, I have gestational diabetes! This is really getting hard...3 more months to go.

7 month pic:

8 months

My diabetes is not manageable so I've started the insulin pill. I have to have ultrasounds every week to make sure she's not getting too big! SHe is in the 66% of weight now, so not too big. My OB doesn't think I'm gonna make it to my due date though!

12/1/07- 9 months today- I've officially gained 25lbs now. Emma has dropped and is face down, in position and ready to go! She weighs 5lbs 11ozs. I am 70 % effaced, but not yet dilated. I'm having NSTs, pelvic exams and ultrasounds every week. I will be starting maternity leave Monday, so I won't be posting anymore. Good luck with all your precious babies!

I worry about this too all time! THis mornign i got up to find Jocelyn completely face planted into her mattress! i dont know how she was breathing, but somehow they find a way i guess. But now that they are older and roll and lift themsleves up its not as big of deal. By the way, your little one is so so cute!

OH MY GOSH! POOR BABY, HOW IS SHE DOING? AWW, DON'T CRY, IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL, I PROBABLY WOULD OF FLIPPED OUT TOO.

mariap - Wednesday, 26 Mar
Hey, Lily is doing great. She sleeps usually 6 hours before waking up to feed at night. Once she went 8 hours, but that only lasted two days. She also has discovered her hands. It is so fun! We got her a jumparoo today and it was adorable watching her play! She doesn't like tummy time, so she's not ready to roll over yet, but she has rolled from her back to her side a few times. We still haven't had a date night, but we are going out on April 12th to a friend's birthday party. It is tough because she won't take a bottle still. I know she won't let herself starve, but I feel bad leaving her like that... I get out alone a couple of times a week to go to the gym, though, and that is key. How have you been doing?

mariap - Sunday, 16 Mar
Hey, Congratulations on quitting your job! I am not going back to work either. It is just so hard to think of paying so much money so someone else can raise my baby! And as a relatively new teaher, day care would have taken a significant amount of my take home pay. Being home wiht her is awesome, isn't it? Especially this first year when every thing they do is a 'first'! Lily is getting better at taking the bottle. I know she'll get the hang of it soon. What else is new with your little one?

mariap - Friday, 7 Mar
Hi There! Thanks, I love dressing her up in all of her clothes. We had her portrats done at 3 and a half weeks, but she cried the whole time. We actually got some good pics, but it was tough. I can't wait to go again though, especially now that she's smiling. Yes, I am still breastfeeding. It is going well. How about you? We are actually struggling to get her to take a bottle of pumped milk so we can have a date night. We are trying every day, but she wants the boob! Lily has been sleeping 4 to 6 hours for her first sleep of the night, although the past two nights she actually went 7! She wakes up to eat and then goes another 2 or three hours, then she'll sometimes go down again for a couple of hours. She wakes up for the day around 7. How about ypur little girl? How's she sleeping? She has a beautiful smile!

emy - Friday, 7 Mar
Thank you! That is my fav. pic too. I framed it in a 'My little buddy' frame and gave it to the hubby for V Day. Emma is beautiful! Jamison loves his bath time too! We would leave him in there longer but he gets all pruney! Jamison is huge! He was 15lb 6 oz and 25 inches long at his 2 month check up. At that point...I finally came to the realization that I birthed a giant. Ha Ha

lol thats funny about the stevie wonder thing to. My husband says that about my little girl that she reminds him of stevie wonder b/c thats all she does is sway her head back in forth. My baby does the same thing she is so active.

kristeylouise - Wednesday, 20 Feb
Audreys getting snugglier now that she's getting older. I'm so thankful for that! I have a boppy vibrating seat for her which she loves and she usually sits in there. I also have a bumpo seat which allows her to be totally upright...she's lovin that too

kristeylouise - Tuesday, 19 Feb
 What a cutie!!

turnerjessica - Monday, 11 Feb
Hey taylor has been doing fine.. On the 2nd we had chris's aunt watch her and she messed up her whole routine. we gave her five 5oz bottles and a jug filled to 16oz for extra.. and we dropped tay off a 8:30 right after a feed and picked her up the next day at 5 and all her formula was gone! she became very fussy and gasy after that and was wanting to feed every 2hours!. We are guessing that everytime she woke up chris's aunt would feed her.. and she would usually feed every 4hours.. we slowly are still getting her back into routine.. it's just her mornings now that are different. We now need to feed her at 9am only 3 oz.. and then change her and keep her up till 10:30, then give her the other 2oz at 10:30am and she'll fall straight back to sleep until 1:00.. then she feeds 5oz every four hours after that..
We kept her on the gentlease formula.. you should maybe give it a try. Is emma doing better on what she is on now?? I feel so sorry for you.. you must be exhausted! I know i was when she was being fussy and im slowly starting to get some sleep. ha

mariap - Sunday, 10 Feb
Hi there! No, she hates hats as well. I need to get more pics up, but they are too big and need to be resizeed... I'm working on it! I am doing well. Pretty tired as well... Lily seems to be upset by something in my diet. She is very fussy... I am in the process of trying to figure out what it is, starting with dairy. I hope we figure it out soon, the poor little girl is not all that happy... I feel terrible. Even with all of her fussing and crying, I am totally in love. It is wonderful. We are already planning for when we will have our second! :) How are you doing?

hazleyedgirl - Wednesday, 6 Feb
she is gorgeous! congrats!

turnerjessica - Friday, 1 Feb
Taylor wasreally stuffy and she was wheezing and coughing, so i took her to the doc. I thought she had RSV, but the doc said she was fine and maybe she is lactose intolorate. He told me to put her on Alimentum Hypoallergenic by Similac, well i decided to keep her on the formula she was on before because she seemed to be doing better when we got home from the hosp. She was really fussy.. pushing her head towards the nipple of the bottle and biting down on the nipple then getting too much and spitting it up. So i changed her formula to Gentlease by Enfamil and i then switched her nipple to the next stage. She was doing awesome, and started to drink very well.. until last night she started fussing again and she hasn't fussed since we switched her.. and an hour after she finished feeding. She started vommiting, not spitting up.. projectile vomitting. I was so scared. I called chris's grandparents and they came over.. and i called my mom, and the 24 hour healthline. The healthline told me to feed her when it is time for her next feeding but cut back an ounce. So i did and now my little girl is back to fussing because she is still hungry when her bottle is finished. Ugh! Im so confused!

Hey! Congrats to you too! I thought you had stopped using the site during the pregnancy- I never saw you online toward the end. How are you doing? Have you had your blood sugar retested? I go on Friday to do another glucose tolerance test. Yuck.
I am doing great. Every day is a learning experience. Are you breastfeeding? It is sometimes tough, but I am doing it. It is my goal to make it to six months. From there, we'll see how I feel. Are you getting any sleep? Lily sleeps pretty well at night. The first time she goes down she sleeps for 4 hours or so. After that, she sleeps for two hours at a time. It works out to her waking up two to three times in a night, depending on how early she falls asleep. I am loving being a mom, though. It can be scary and frustrating sometimes, but it is so worth it every time I look at her or cuddle with her. It is great to hear from you! If you want to see pictures of Lily, you can look on my myspace page. I have an album of her first few days... I need to update it, but there are some good shots there. It is www.myspace.com/mlopez3 Your Emma is beautiful!!!

turnerjessica - Wednesday, 30 Jan
how are you and your little girl doing.. Is she reacting to her formula? I might have been in the same dilemma..

turnerjessica - Wednesday, 30 Jan
Thank you so much!! I love being a mom, it's so amazing! I enjoy every moment with her even the fussy times, ha. She is just getting rid of a cold that she had, my poor little girl couldn't breath too well for over a week, and she was so fussy because she could eat. I switched her formula and also moved her to the next stage in nipples and she is doing great now. Before she was sick she was taking 4 oz, and then when she was sick she was taking just under 3 oz, and i took her to the hosp and she was underweight, now that i switched her formula and nipples she has been eating 5 oz. Last night she drank 6oz!

emy - Tuesday, 29 Jan
Thanks! Mommyhood is good.Exhausting. Breastfeeding is getting to me. My lil guy is always hungry. Not looking forward to going back to work. How are you doing. Your little girl is precious. bathtime is not so great here ;-(

She is sweet! I love those smiles. They make my heart melt. Sophie is doing great! I'm happy to see another bald little girl...lol... I'm always rubbing her fuzzy head. Don't you just love it? Sopie is getting big fast! How about Emma?

RobinG - Monday, 28 Jan
What formulas has she been on exactly? Soy is the only formula that has no milk protein or lactose in it. If her allergy is milk she will react to all formulas except soy ~ if her allergy is soy nutramigen and alimentum are more gentle for sensitive bellies since all formulas have some soy oil I believe. If she has reflux and no allergy the only thing that may help is formulas with added rice starch since weight is what she needs. This will help keep the reflux/acids down. It will help with a valve issue ~ my 2nd son has it and like when we were pregnant the valve may not always close tightly and what goes down comes up and only gravity will keep it down so the heavier the formula the better. When you change formulas it is important to give it two weeks or at least a week min to see a change. Some spit up will happen just from changing to often. Their bellies are sensitive to change and it takes a bit to adjust ~ Feed as upright as possible, allow her to sit up and still after eating. Try not to let her be to active to keep it down and when you burp use caution ~ burping can also cause spit up with reflux/valve issues if you burp to hard or long if there is no bubble. I use to have to just sit Stephen up on my lap and rub his back and a burp would come up after a bit. Hitting his back made the spit up worse ~ ((())) Hope this helps ~

Hey, congrats on your pregnancy. how are you feeling, i came across your page and we are due the same day. mariap - Monday, 17 Dec
