**EMMA IS HERE! SHE WAS BORN 12/15/07 VIA C-SECTION AFTER 12 HOURS OF LABOR. I'M SO IN LOVE......SHE IS MY ANGEL SENT FROM HEAVEN!**

Hi ladies! I am SOOO happy to finally be pregnant with my first baby! I've waited and prayed for a long time for this blessing to come! I was married last September and we decided to try this April - and what do you know - I got pregnant the first try! As absolutely happy as I am, this has been a rough first trimester. I didn't know morning sickness would be this bad! And I can barely stay awake!

I'm due New Year's Eve! We will find out the sex in August. I can't wait to start buying cute little baby things! My husband is so cute - already talking to my belly. He's great helping around the house - I couldn't do this with out him!

I'm looking for work from home ideas cause I want to stay home with my baby. Let me know if you have any suggestion! Good luck to you all and congrats on your little miracles too!

Update - my boss said I can work from home! WOOOOOOOHOOOOO! Now I don't have to miss a minute of my baby's life. I'm so happy/excited.

Second trimester has been much much better - no more morning sickness, but back aches are the worst! I felt the baby at 1am a few weeks ago and he/she kicked for an hour straight! But nothing since. I feel like its a girl and my husband told me last week he thinks it's a girl too! Emma Lai...I can't wait to meet you!

Update: My employer changed their mind and will not let me work from home. Now I am 7 months pregnant and looking for a new job!.

Update: Boo, I have gestational diabetes! This is really getting hard...3 more months to go.

My diabetes is not manageable so I've started the insulin pill. I have to have ultrasounds every week to make sure she's not getting too big! SHe is in the 66% of weight now, so not too big. My OB doesn't think I'm gonna make it to my due date though!

12/1/07- 9 months today- I've officially gained 25lbs now. Emma has dropped and is face down, in position and ready to go! She weighs 5lbs 11ozs. I am 70 % effaced, but not yet dilated. I'm having NSTs, pelvic exams and ultrasounds every week. I will be starting maternity leave Monday, so I won't be posting anymore. Good luck with all your precious babies!

MrsCarney~ I've also experienced sciatica. It was pretty bad too. I couldn't walk, my legs would give up on me from time to time. It was terrible. My doc put me off work for 3 weeks.. And now i'm doing better. He says that i can't really do much about it except for laying on the side that doesn't hurt and to take tylenol. But tylenol doesn't really doo much for me, I might as well pop a pez candy instead. So, just get as much rest as you can, avoid sitting or standing for long periods of time, and just wait it out i guess.

hi ya, hope you are feeling well and your poor belly is getting better! sorry to hear you had a panic attack when getting in the car the other day, just take things slowly and try to relax, i've had a panic attack before and its not fun! hows your little one? hope she is good and moving around alot to let mummy know she's ok. take care xxx

First off, I am glad that you & baby Emma are okay. As far as your question goes- when ANYTHING traumatic happens to a person; a car accident, being mugged, etc., it takes time to heal inside & out. As the old saying goes, 'Time heals all wounds.' I'm sorry that there is no quick-fix to getting back in your car w/o any fears, but know that over time it will get better. BTW- A SQUIRREL??? Was the lady old or just plain retarded? You & your baby will be in my prayers. Good luck & take care.

hi ya, i'm soooo sorry to hear about your accident , your poor belly, it looks really sore! really glad everthing is ok with your precious little girl! i had a bump in the car when i was 7 and half weeks, nothing really bad but i'm 23 and half weeks and still paranoid someone is going to hit the back of me! i think motherly instinct kicks in and you just want to make sure your little one is protected no matter what, i knew 3 days before someone would go into the back of me coz i all of a sudden got really paranoid about it then it happened! make sure you still take it easy and rest, if you are still too worried to drive, perhaps go out when the traffic is not busy and make sure your other half goes with you just for a drive about to get your confidence back. hope your ok. take care xxx

Hi! I was just looking at your page (which is so cute by the way)and reading your story and it's funny cause we seem to have a lot of weird things in common. My name too is Jennifer, I was just married in September, in April both my husband and I decided to try for a baby, and we too got pregnant on the first try! Not to mention we have the same due date! Funny huh? Except I live practically across the country from you in California. I just wanted to say I have shared my frustration with my in-laws as well especially my mother-in-law who is very opinionated and set in her ways. My husband is her only boy. ALthough her and I get along most of the time she is at times can be a little much. The best solution for me is to not include her in everything we do. Her and I get along beautifully when she gives me my space so maybe a little space would help.

MrsCarrey, I haven't had any confronataional problems with my mother in law, but I have watched my brother go through the exact same thing with his. It makes it hard, because you will have to deal with the repercussions of lashing out at her from your husband. I think the best thing to do is somehow nicely tell her the way it's going to be. Like mother in law, I think you have come up with some great ideas, however I really want my shower to be like this, or to play this game. This way you acknowledge the fact she wants to do things for you. My mother in law is very nice,however she is kind of a space cadet. They never helped financially with the wedding, and she isn't even thinking about throwing a baby shower. I kind of feel bad for my husband. I complain to him about her a lot. For instance, she told me when she comes to see the baby she wants to sleep in the babys room with her instead of the guest room. Woah! Not to mention she has told me more than a few times that 'her' baby girl will look just like my husband in every way and talk like him, and act like him....etc etc. Last night I had a dream that she was feeding my new born lucky charms, and I screamed at her. It seems like everyone has at least one problem with their inlaws. I hope it all works out for you, and thanks for letting me vent too!

I can't believe that you are finished with the nursery!! That is amazing! You must really have everything organized. We are moving my toddler from her old nursery and re-doing her new room. I'm going to have sooo much to do when I get back from my vacation next week. It's crazy. My husband and I have accumulated a bunch of stuff and are trying to move our computer/guestroom around for Rachel our 2 yr. old. We want to have a garage sale. Then we will have to paint, or he will, and move furniture, set up the crib in the nursery, and find places for another TV, computer and lounge chair. Girl it is crazy I am just taking one day at a time.

When I had my appendix out it was appendicitis and I ended up having emergency surgery. It was tear jerking pain though. If it gets worse I would go to the doctors. Or at least call them.

Hi...congrats on your lil' girl! Yea, my hubby and I are both terrible at keeping secrets, so we usually end up buying a ton of extra stuff so we have gifts to open on Christmas day too. Its kind of become tradition now. Maybe we'll have to start a 12 days of Christmas thing with the baby...! Your 20 week belly looks great by the way!
