This is our first
baby (our honeymoon baby) and we are super excited. We have started telling everyone. We wanted to wait until after the 1st trim. before telling - just to make sure everything was ok =)
I actually consider myself lucky that I haven't had too many unusual things happen with this pregnancy. I've had some morning sickness - had nausea nearly all day for 2-3 weeks, that finally went away. I only got sick about once a week. I popped out around 16 weeks. I got home one day and started taking off my scrub top and noticed a little belly =) Finally started to put on a few pounds and feel the baby move (I think). It's subtle, but I think it's the baby =)
I'm finally showing a definite "belly", not a "is she just a little chunky?" bump. lol. She often wakes up when I do and rolls around inside while I roll around in bed in protest to the alarm clock. We played the thump game for the first time (9/5/08) ... that was fun. I won't do that to her too much though. I love having this little person growing inside of me and can't wait to meet her =)
I'm trying to take naps more often. Love the naps. They help alot!!
My husband (MDL) has been absolutely amazing =) He's going to be a wonderful father! =)
11/10 - Another chiropractor appointment - again instant relief of back pain and ligament tension. The relief probably won't last too long, but I have another appointment scheduled for Friday =) I did some nesting today and found some things I'd been looking for. The husband will be happy to hear about the closet I've found in our room. LoL. I also have the feeling that baby is going to come this week ... I don't know if that's true motherly instinct or me just being ready for her to be here. However, I did have the feeling that she was a little girl long before we found out, but thought it was just because I wanted a little girl. So maybe I'm right again and just doubting myself. We'll see =)
11/7 - First prenatal chiropractor appointment. So glad our birth instructor told us about her. She aligned my sacroiliac joint and released my ligaments ... oh my it felt soooooo much better. The back pain and front tension from the ligaments went away for a couple days.
11/6 - Prenatal with our MW assistant, urine ok, baby still appears to be head down and HR still in the 140s.
10/30 - Prenatal with midwife and her assistant - BS 91, Hgb 11.5, slightly high urine pH, measuring 33 @ 35. Our midwives quote "I'm not even going to do an internal and scare myself" - referring to being gone for the next two weeks. haha. Everything is going great with the baby .. we're so excited and can't wait to see her =) We're so excited about and really like our midwife and her assistant =) Looking forward to a wonderful birth sometime in the next 2-7 weeks. =)
10/26 - Possibly lost mucus plug? Tons more mucus .. little bloody. Baby continues to move alot =)
10/13 - No edema after flying =)
10/12 - Some more edema after walking around town for a couple of hours - relieved by propping them up
10/10 - Edema after a day of flying -- relieved by a warm bath
10/10-13 - Trip to see in-laws
10/4 - Baby shower with a few friends/family members. The dog likes the car seat and stroller - lol. Hopefully he'll like the baby too.
10/1 - Another birth class. Talked about birth plans, etc, did exercises and relaxation
9/26 - Both of us felt baby hiccuping .. so cool.
9/24 - First Bradley Birthing class. Talked about nutrition, Taylor sitting, pelvic rocking, and Kegels. One couple is doing a birth center birth and the other couple is planning a hospital birth. I'm excited to learn/compare the different experiences. ---- Later in the evening after getting home, Michael heard baby's heartbeat through my tummy for the first time .. so exciting!!
9/24 - Midwife appointment - weight great @ 22lbs total, good urine, good BP @ 110/70, baby's HR in the 130s - probably lower than usual because she was sleeping. MW was able to hear HR with fetoscope and was pretty sure the baby is already head down .. yay!!
9/2 - Second 3D/4D ultrasound!
8/28
- We had our midwife appointment in the morning and on our
way there we decided to call the 3D/4D ultrasound people to see how
long it'd take to get in. They had an opening right after our midwife
appointment! Midwife took her heart rate and it was 144 bpm.
Then we went to the 3D/4D ultrasound. Well after 30 minutes little Ms.
Paige didn't want to cooperate. Her hands AND feet were up in front of
her face. We get to go back next week for free and try again. 8/17 - Week 25 - Trip to Jamaica - absolutely amazing .. except for the 7 contractions in one hour DURING a massage .. so much for relaxing .. lol
7/30 - Prenatal with midwife - everything still sounds/feels great! She couldn't tell the position because I was contracting at the time. Yeah, Braxton Hicks have started already
7/26 - Finalized first and middle name, Paige Noelle =) Granted our cousin doesn't pick one of the same names. lol
7/24 - Daddy got to feel lots of movement =)
7/16 - Decided on a first name .. Paige
7/14 - We just found out we
are having a girl! We are SO excited! She was active and nice enough to
be spread eagle for us. So we got a clear shot of her parts. She was
all over and kicked a couple times. Everything looked good and the
heart rate was 137 bpm. 7/4 - Daddy felt baby kick!! So exciting
6/29 - Orlando/Sea World trip
6/20 - Felt baby kick for first time - I think. haha.
6/19 - OB appt and first prenatal with midwife - baby's HR 147 =)
6/14 - Told the family the news!
5/30 - OB to check for UTI. They checked the baby and it was 153 bpm. 5/22 - OB appt -- baby was flipping around while trying to pick up HR ... finally picked up at 154 BPM
5/16-19 Trip to FL to see husband's family
4/17 - New due date
4/10 - First Ultrasound! - We could see & hear the heart beating - absolutely amazing!! =) HR was 145 BPM

24.8 hours ago ok question please...im getting ready to send my invites out for my baby showers, and i was wondering...what size diapers and how many of each size should i be aiming for??? I want to be well prepared with diapers so its one less thing to worry about at least for a little bit so we can get adjusted to baby being home instead of worrying about going out to buy diapers. So does anyone have any suggestions on this subject? and also was there anything you didn't put on your registry that you wish you had? im new to this and I just don't know what I am doing lol!! any opinions would be soooo wonderful!!
Kisses!!! babymomma67 -
