So today was the BIG day!!! We went for the ultrasound!!!! He was so active. I really didn't think I was feeling him move before, and on the U/S screen he was kicking like crazy. He must have known that I really needed to pee because he kept kicking my bladder. It was really cute too, he had his head up high, and we could see him laying his head near my pulse. I have a feeling that once he is here, he will love laying on my chest hearing my heart beat. Oh my husband and I are so excited!!!! It was sooooooo cool to be able to see him, moving around, kicking and of course being a boy... hahaha.. playin with his little thang... haha.. sorry, but he was, it was pretty funny to see. He measured at 14 oz. which I thought that sounded like alot, but we do have tall people in my family, so it doesn't surprise me. My belly measured 21 weeks and i've gained almost 26lbs so far. I really need to slow down. My doctor said that it was fine that I've gained that much so far because i started out so small, and hadn't gained much weight in the beginning. Well we are very excited to be having a baby boy!!! Best of luck to all you mommy to be's out there.

Baby3onway - Monday, 11 August
hey girl.. I am on baby three and have not had my water break on me. With my first one though I had contractions for about 30 hours before they got regular enough to go to the hospital and just before I left I used the washroom and lost my plug... a few hours later they broke my water for me. With the second I did not notice my water breaking or losing my plug and my son got here in 53 mins from start to finsih.... I hope this helps you out SOME. Its so different with everyone. I wish also that there was a for sure sign that you were, are or can be on your way to have this baby. Being number three you'd think I woul dhave some idea but NOPE its always different. best of luck in your next few weeks. I too am running out of clothes, patience and shoes!! haha

professorpreggers - Friday, 8 August
Oh my God, I woke up this morning and the whole room smells like his breath. I don't know what it is--he's not a smoker. He just came home from the gym yesterday reeking! With my nausea back in the last couple of weeks, this is a lethal combination. He's so sensitive though, that when I say anything he gets upset and tells me I’m being mean. I’m trying to say it nicely, but honestly, it’s awful! I'm dragging him to the drug store today to see if I can find anything potent enough to kill the smell:) Hope you’re feeling well--saw your post about not making it to September. At least you know that your little guy is growing well and he'll be strong and healthy even if he has to come a early. I'm sure it's scary, I only have 5 weeks left to my c-section date and I'm starting to freak out. Everything will be fine though.

I honestly don't remember, I know it was more than double of what the high normal is. She didn't seem that concerned though. You can't go back ya know. If I would have known the impact it would have had on Madelyn, I would have gone for a vaginal birth. It was the hardest thing, I had her at 4pm on Thursday and didn't even get to see her until 10:45 am Friday morning where I finally got to hold her. I kept begging to see what my child looked like but they wouldn't let me. I won't do that again!

I saw your post, I had too much fluid with my first. I was told it was because I was retaining so much fluid everywhere and they weren't concerned. She arrived at 39 weeks 6 days via c-section. The only thing I can say is try to have a vaginal birth, Maddy aspirated fluid as they were pulling her out because there was so much and had to spend a day in NICU. I couldn't see her until she was 18 hours old.

something that was kinda cool at my shower was... There were 2 dozen pink (for a girl) roses in a vase and everytime someone left, they got to take a rose with them. All the roses had a quick thankyou card tied to them thanking them for coming.

Hi! I'm told that I also have to much fluids mine is from GD I have so much that the baby move alot more and I can really fell everything. I'm 35 weeks I measure at about 38 weeks and the baby measures about 37. I'm told there is nothing to worried about that the baby just has more room to move thats all. hope all is well and all the best.

firsttimmer08 - Monday, 4 August
I was also told that my fluid levels were high. This was at 20 weeks. When I asked what could cause it, the tech said eating too much of the wrong thing, or a big baby. My baby was also measuring about 3 weeks ahead at that time as well. I have a growth scan on Wednesday, and there is no telling what they are going to say. Sorry to say it, but I haven't changed my bad eating habits at all. I wouldn't worry too much. We are just going to have healthy plump babies with cute chubby cheeks! Take care!

havingadamsbaby - Sunday, 3 August
My jaw almost hit the floor!! The weird thing is I have only gained 2 pounds in that two weeks!! Do you know since I'm measuring 35 cm does that mean I am measuring for the 35th week?? I have tried to look onm the internet to find an answer but haven't found any answers. I'm assuming thats how it works since I measured 30 cm at 30 weeks and doc said that was perfect. I guess I bragged to much!! The funny thing is that my mom and sis were teasing me about how big I was and so I had to be sure to tell them that doc says I'm perfect and then I go and grow 5 frickin inches in 2 weeks!!! LOL!!! Oh well just so shes healthy!!!

havingadamsbaby - Sunday, 3 August
ok it must have been something besides cookies and brownies that you were eating!! I went for my appt yesterday and I gained 5 inches in 2 weeks!! LOL!!! He says I am measuring a "little large!" and if I keep progressing this way they will schedule an ultrasound to see whats going on!! YIkes!! I'm kinda freaked out beings I have been measuring great all along!!!

LeahsMommy9 - Saturday, 2 August
Good Luck to you. I am sure everything will turn out great!!

professorpreggers - Friday, 1 August
Hey there--I keep seeing your posts about your fluid levels etc and I wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you. I have weekly NST scans and biophysicals now so I understand a bit of the anxiety you're going through. I'm sure your baby is going to be just fine but I'll be thinking of you all the same.

kathy=^.^= - Thursday, 31 July
 ur soo cute..<3

havingadamsbaby - Wednesday, 23 July
Thats funny you say that about cookies and brownies!! My Hubby and I were talking the other day about what we weighed when we were born and I was like 9lbs I think and he was only 8lbs 2oz. so he asked my mom if I was born with a cookie in one hand and a glass of milk in the other!! He is such a funny little man!! Keep me posted on how you are doing!! I'm sure everything will turn out just fne. Your welcomew for the laugh too!! LOL

havingadamsbaby - Wednesday, 23 July
oh my!! Did they say what the baby is weighing?? I want to know what you have been eating so I can stay the hell away from it!! LOL!!! I can't beleive you are measuring that far ahead. Have they discussed taking the baby early and maybe doing a c-section ?

b4bybl00m - Wednesday, 23 July
Oooooh OK, I had one of those done at 28 weeks as I passed out at work and had to go to hospital . I'm in the same situation as you with a big baby (although not that big) and I'm interested to see what the midwife is going to say tomorrow. Last time she was talking about send me for another US but I've since heard they are not very accurate at measuring the baby at this stage in the pregnancy and could be as much as 2 pounds out! Keep me updated on your progress x

mamaharvey - Monday, 21 July
I plan on getting the belt for after the baby, but the place I went to had one for maternity and one for after. I hope my baby comes at the end of August, but I am sure that is just wishful thinking.

mamaharvey - Friday, 18 July
Yeah my doctor said that I should buy a Maternity Support Belt to help ease the pressure... maybe that will work if I ever go out and buy it. At this point, I just feel (and desperately hope) that I won't be pregnant for too much longer so there is no need spending money on it. I am 32 weeks tomorrow, but have measured a week bigger since 20 weeks, hopefully I am 33 weeks and can have him around 38 weeks!! That would mean 5 more weeks! I have gained 40 pounds so far and I am just ready for him to have his own space.

septmommie - Friday, 18 July
how are things? getting nervous yet like me? time is flying by and it's about to go by even faster! showers coming up, classes starting soon....i just can't wait to hold my little precious one! Hope all is well :)

michellelaughs - Friday, 18 July
I have been around newborns quite a bit with my nieces and nephews and just want to say, "dont worry", your mommy instincts will kick in and it will be so great! The unknown is always kinda scary but give yourself the gift of trusting yourself. You are so capable and dont even know it yet. I haven't had a baby before and am so in disbeleif that it is really going to happen but I know inside that I am going to do great and love her so much. It is just so hard to imagine a child I haven't yet met and so hard to believe that she is going to be all mine....mind blower!

michellelaughs - Tuesday, 15 July
Have you been around newborns much?
