24 January 2008

The other morning I woke up and my uterus had "floated" up and the top of it was sitting just even with my belly button. I could palpate my whole uterus it was like a rockmelon sitting there. It was weird but exciting. I was showing Andrew, my husband, and laughing about it. Now every morning when I wake up it is like this. But when I stand up it sinks back down abit into my pelvic cavity, and it sinks down even further when I get up and empty my bladder! Its still there about 3 inches below my belly button though.

Can't believe I'm at the end of 14 weeks, I'm just flying along and feel like I'll almost be half-way soon. I'm still wanting to eat sweet things, I did also when I had the morning sickness cos it made me feel better. But I still want to and my skin on my chin is pimply like a teenager, even if I cut out the sweets it doesn't help much. Oh well I'll just put up with it. It usually clears eventually. But by eating regularly, more sweet things than other I managed my morning sickness better this time.

Hi, I have been reading lots from this web page and everyone elses comments on the chat forum. I love it so I `m starting my own VIP page.I am already mum to 2 kids and 13 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby. I like this chat forum so much cos I havn `t announced my pregnancy yet. So I can still chat to others at the same stage of pregnancy as me without telling everyone.

I would have asked, but they seemed so stress. I have never been in an office with so many doctors and so much going on. I know for next time i will ask if I have to.

Thank you for the venous lakes info I am not sure I guess maybe the doctor doesn't know. He said he never delivered anyone with this problem. thanks again and I am going to get a second answer from another doctor.

i was reading your blog about the peliv swollen and presure, well if this helps I have been getting that too and just seen my doctor on friday and he said it was vigina veins and nothing to worry about, also long as the swollen area is in one spot and not blothes. what are you having? you said this is your thrid baby, Mine too. I have two boys and she'll be a girl :) Congrats and take care :)

Yes, I too have been having the most vivid dreams lately...they vary from super bizarre to absolute horror...and they are all in color...apparently quite normal for us preggers, but still, as if we weren't busy enough during our days, now our nights are filled with strange 'adventures'!

hi yeah i have been having terrible knightmares i wake up so hot and crying. it takes me ages to calm down as i have to wake myself and realise it wasnt real. ive only been getting it every few days but with my last pregnancy towards the end it was every night!!

keez1979 - Thursday, 24 April
My hubby gives it to her, not me! He thinks that he should take care of her since his father died. he says that he works just like I do, so he should get to do some things he wants to, too. Oh well. I hate that woman!

OrdinaryMiracle - Thursday, 24 April
Hi! Thanks for your comment about pushing up dates. I only have had one ultrasound (20 weeks) so my due date is based solely on my LNMP. I'm pretty sure the date is right, but wishful thinking never hurt, right?! LOL, I really don't care, as long as this little jumping bean is healthy. How is your pregnancy going? How do you manage your pregnancy symptoms while looking after 2 kids? I don't think I would have lived through my first trimester if I had to take care of anyone but me!

4thbaby - Tuesday, 15 April
I am a teacher and can barely walk. The pressure ans swelling get so bad if I don't stay off my feet during the day. I am worried that my doctor may put me on bed rest. I have only 28 days left of school, so I hope I can make it. As for taking care of my own kids at home, I am having a really hard time. They are 3 and 4 and are very busy. It is hard to chase them around. THis is the first time this pressure and swelling happened so early. I usually don't have these symptoms until my 8th month. I am also worried I may go into labor early. WHat do you think?

katipillaer - Monday, 14 April
No I get really uncomfortable too!! It pretty funny because I don't look big until I sit down. She has nowhere to go when I sit except out. Congrates on your pregnancy!!

4thbaby - Monday, 14 April
OMG I feel the same way. I am justing getting to week 25 and this is my 4th baby. I feel like I am in my 9th month. I already have pressure and swelling in my vaginal area and have a pinched sciatic nerve and can hardly walk. I don't know how I am going to make it to my due date. I will probably be put on bedrest pretty soon.

Angiepangie - Saturday, 12 April
Sounds like you're talking about me! I'm as big now as I was at 7 months with my first, and all the aches and pains have arrived early as well. This is only my 2nd, but I'll be 37 by the time this one is here, and I'm definitely feeling my 'advanced maternal age' lately!

my-lil-miracle - Saturday, 15 Mar
Hey, thankx, I kind of feel like my belly is WAY past the point of no return, my stretch marks laugh at my feeble attempts to stop anymore from invading my belly... I'll probably try the bio oil, I've heard a lot about it recently, I think we just got it in the states not too long ago...

Jenism - Friday, 15 Feb
I've been trying that, but it just makes me feel worse and usualy I end up being sick.. :(

Jenism - Friday, 15 Feb
I eat and drink all the time, and it's cold where I'm at these days. Is there anything else I can do to raise it? I've always had normal blood pressure. My mom has low blood presure though...

lucy - Friday, 15 Feb
Thanx for your message, I was feeling so alone so its good to know im not the only one going thru this, ive never experienced anything like this before, so its really strange to me. Im feeling much better these days so i hope i stay this way. Hope you feel better soon too. xx

noodle - Friday, 15 Feb
Not this time but w/ my 3rd I was worried at aruond 19 weeks-called my nurse-she said the placenta is probably in front this time and not to worry till like week 21. Of course she started kicking a lot more soon after.

katemoz - Tuesday, 12 Feb
Thanks! I thought that might be what it was but I didnt think you could get them this early. Apparently you can! :)

bo - Saturday, 9 Feb

Thanks for the advice, I'll look into it. I know we are suppose to watch herbal things...but I am willing to try anything. Can't be worse than antibiotics. Thanks again

I have the same little hard bump by my belly button every morning. I just love it because now my husband can feel the baby too. I've heard from lots of friends that this happened to them during pregnancies too. Enjoy!
