Hi everyone thats me at 31 weeks now so just thought id update my blog, starting to feel huge now and the baby kicks like a little horse really seems to be liking my ribs at the moment. Found out at my 20 week scan that were having a girl and im so excited about it i already have a little boy and my bf seems more of the baby girl type even though he says that he wasn't bothered lol. Finding a name has been really difficult but we have came up with 2 that we both really love ROCHA and FAITH the rest of her name will be christie ross so tell me wot u think and prefer it will be a great help. I have to say this pregnancy has been alot easyier than my previous i only had morning sickness for about 4 weeks and only really felt tired till about 5 weeks ago when i started to get rib flare and it hurts like hell its been making my life a misery because i cant sit up for any period of time without it aching and have to lie flat on my back and for those of you as far along as me will understand ain't very comftable at all, also i have restless leg syndrome that drives me nuts at night. Recently though their seems to be light at the end of the tunnel 9 weeks to go don't seem that long so im hust gonna have to put up with it till then. Ive been thinking about my birth plans alot recently because i have a choice between a natural and a c-section ( my son was born by emergancy cs) i want to do it naturally (with an epidural) but having another cs seems so much easyier but you heal alot quicker naturally and the baby get givin straight to you, any comment or experences would be very helpful.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

thank you for your comments. i agree about that, but my issue is that i will be going back to work soon so i am about to start pumping to get some milk stored up for returning to work. i am not looking forward to it because my breasts have adjusted nicely to his schedule, but don't want to have to supplement if I can avoid it.

Epidural...definately. I had one and will have one again, its the best thing you can do for yourself if you cant/dont tolerate pain very well.

LoriH1070 - Thursday, 14 Feb
Pushing was a breeze once I had the epidural!!! Once that pain is gone you feel like you could do anything. I was told to push like you are constipated(gross right). But that is what you have to do. Good luck to you!!!

iya and thanks for the reply and advice. You're right I will book an appointment to see the doc just to be safe, don't want to leave anything to chance. Thanks again and take care

Definitely have a natural birth if u can. Less recovery period.

jscottn401 - Saturday, 26 Jan
hey i would def try to have a natural birth rather than a cs... my mom had a cs with me and a natural with my sis. i would do it bc u dont have to deal with the pain of the insisiton and getting an infection and worrying about that!! but i would def try to do that.... :) g/l

yes, i had terrible rib pain when i was pregnant with my twins. my daughter would kick me up under my rib cage all day and night. i hope this baby does not start doing the same thing. right now my pain feels like it is due to lack of room and tightness in my chest cavity. i had to take some tylenol yesterday for the pain , nothing else worked. did you experience this also with you other pregnancy?

momof4 - Friday, 18 Jan
hi, yes i have bad rib pain also. mine is worse when i'm laying down so i have to stand up a lot and press on my ribs to get it to go away. wonder if its the baby up in there or just everything being so compressed? have you asked your dr. what causes it?

cadens~momma - Friday, 11 Jan
thank you and yes, my back hurt too and my ribs hurting stopped after i had him but i pulled somthing in my back when i had him and it still hurts >.

Hello
You are braver than I to want a natural birth!lol I don't like putting up with the pain if I know I don't have to. Silly tho, I really handle pain rather well. I have had several different surgeries and only like to take ibuprofen for the pain afterwards. The nurses are always trying to push stronger pain meds on me, but I refuse them. I hate the way they make me feel. Also the pain of surgery isn't really too bad from my perspective. My family says I have an exceptional high pain threshhold. But, I still wouldn't go thru childbirth without an epidural. I just don't see the point of not using what is out there to make it more relaxing. I do really respect others opinions tho--everyone is different and have different thoughts on things. With my c section I was up and about immediately. I completely took care of my baby from the very first. (My older daughter stayed with me the whole time I was at the hospital and did a lot of the feedings, but just because she wanted to. I was able to do everything myself.) Again, I have a high pain threshhold and it didn't really hurt afterwards (for me). The nurses/drs. couldn't believe it and kept trying to make me take stronger stuff. They would tell me things like 'Don't be a hero' Very few of the nurses agreed with me, that if I didn't feel the need, don't take it. I understand that this is not normal, but I really do much better without additional pain meds. I am totally out of it if I take anything stronger than ibuprofen and it makes me feel too woozy to function. I hate that! I would also hate to go thru hours of labor and then have to get an emergency c section anyway. There you get to 'suffer' both ways...I feel for you there. Hopefully, you can have your baby the way you want to. I think everyone deals with it best if they get to have it there way. You feel more relaxed and in control of things that way.
