I am a mother of one, at present and hopefully soon, mother of two. This is my second child that I am expecting as you can see from my nickname. My first child was an out of wedlock pregnancy and I recently married in November 2007. My husband accepted my child with open arms and my son loves him dearly. We have been together for about 3 years now and my son really grew out of his baby years to know my husband as his dad. I am a bit nervous now with the second child as I am scared my husband's family may favour the 'bloodline baby' but my fears may be ungrounded. My husband hoped for a girl but more lately a boy, he said that we already have a boy and that it will be nice to have one of each, but we will see.

I am excited because this time I am legitimately pregnant! I have a ring on my finger this time around and I really love my husband and for once, everybody is overjoyed for us instead of talking behind their hands about me not being married like they did 6 years ago :-).

I had my first ultrasound on 16 October 2008 and according to that u/s I was 17w1d pregnant. It was the greatest experience of my life! I was really excited to see the baby for the first time. I cannot wait to find out what we are having in 5 weeks time!

I will probably have another C-section, seeing as my son was a C-section. I am a bit overweight, but I try my best to eat healthy foods and walk as much as I can. I doubt that it will make a big difference though. I just hope that all goes well this time around as well, even though I am a bit heavier than the first time around.

I very much look forward to meeting new friends on this site and chatting with co-mom and moms-to-be! Thusfar, this site has been a treat! I have really enjoyed seeing two of my friends on here actually go from pregnant to mommy! Time does fly, doesn't it? I can't wait till my day either. :-)
