Hi ladies, just wanted to give an update on Sophia's progress. She had been having issues with vomiting which was causing issues with weight gain. In 2 weeks she had only gained 40 grams and then ended up losing 50 grams in a matter of 4 days. She was looking at going back into the hospital. On Friday we started this medicine as our last option before hospitilization and it has worked miracles. Sophia really blossomed over the weekend. She's gone from vomiting 2-4 times daily to 0 and even gained 2 ounces from Friday to Sunday! I have to again continue to Thank you all for your prayers and support. Last week we ran into Sophia's neo doc that took care of her during her NICU stay. He got another baby with CDLS in the NICU right after Sophia was born and that baby isnt doing nearly as well as our Sophie girl. This doctor is just amazed at how well Sophia's doing. In all his years he's never had a CDLS baby leave the hospital without a g-tube. Sophia's eating on her own and doing well at it. He was also surprised to find out that she's smiling and making the cooing sounds and has different cries for different things. She's on track mentally for her corrected age and he's never seen a CDLS baby do what she's doing. Sophia has beaten the odds prenatally and even more so now that she's here. I honestly believe a huge factor is that she has so many people praying and believing in her. They say that CDLS babies wont gain weight fast BUT in a few days since we stopped the vomiting she gained an ounce a day which is what normal healthy babies do. They say they dont eat and feed well but she's doing just fine. They also say there is ALWAYS a mental delay but so far Sophia is right on track. We refuse to conform into the expectations for CDLS kids and we are out to prove that there is ALWAYS an exeption to the rules. Sophia has always beaten the odds against her and she'll continue to do so. I look at her and just thank God for allowing me to be her mommy. She is a blessing and God chose her to be special and to make an impact on others and to touch people in ways we can only imagine.

Actually, I had no back pain whatsoever! It was weird. I contribute it to my tempurpedic bed because I hurt all over last time. My back actually hurts worse now because I'm lugging Chris and Alex around plus the diaper bag. Alex is constantly strapped to my chest and I carry Chris to the shopping carts or whatever. I've also been walking daily with him on my chest.

Thanks for answering my blog. She "broke down" last night and is now in a secure unit. She turned the kids against us, so my husband went to get them, and I went to my Mum's (they don't need any more confusion or stress for the time-being)... Anyways, she's drugged up to the eyeballs but still harrassing us?? Lol. I'm calling the police for advice, as I can't deal with the abuse for the next few months, before she gets "better". Thanks again.

Hey ladies!! Hope everyone is doing well today!! I just got back from a trip to the Emergency Room. Was having some spotting and bad, bad cramping. They did a ultrasound and baby looks perfect...yay!! Could see the heart beating..such an amazing sight! I posted a picture of the ultrasound on my last page of pictures!! I love my little bean! He's doing good. He's a very good easy baby. He's not fussy or anything. It is just so busy trying to get things done between the two little ones. I found a in home daycare that is gonna watch the boys 2 days a week for a couple hours. That is so important to balance yourself so don't feel anxiety about the babysitter. He will be fine and it will make your time together that much more special
