Update as of 6/26/08: I am enjoying "motherhood" and couldn't imagine life without "London" now. He is really starting to get a little personality and he laughs and talks (cooing) to me all the time. IT just brightens my day to see him so happy. Sometimes when he is napping I just lay and look at him...like GOSH I am really a "MOMMIE" and I have to protect this little guy. He is such a cutie and brightens my day everyday....view the pics of him and I will continue to post updated pics of him as he gets older.

Hello and welcome to my page. My husband and I are very excited about our new bundle of joy that will be joining our family in April. This is my first child and I am very excited. I can not wait to meet the little person who is growing inside of me. Girl or Boy...I don't care as long as our baby is Healthy!-:)

I just can't wait until I start really showing....I am getting bigger but I haven't completely formed my pregnant belly just yet...I can't wait to see how I look pregnant, lol. I do need to start buying some bigger clothes especially for work because these clothes are fitting kind of snug these days, lol!-:)

Rose is such a good baby. She never cries and is so sweet. She loves to snuggle, eat, and spend time with her daddy. I can't believe how lucky I am.

The past few days have been a blur, but I'm so happy. Early mommyhood is so much easier than late pregnancy for me.

Breastfeeding is wonderful. It does hurt, but it doesn't compare to the discomfort I was feeling in my pelvis at the end of pregnancy, and nothing compares to labor for me. This actually feels like pain with a purpose! I keep finding out about all of these extra benefits of breastfeeding that are great. First of all, it's a beautiful bonding experience. I think it's really special. Also, it shrinks your uterus, so my belly is shrinking every day! It helps the baby with jaundice and because I fed so much in the hospital, Rose had the lowest biliruben score the pediatrician had ever seen! Also, I found out that if I breastfeed exclusively, I may not get a period for another 10 months! I have endometriosis and a lot of pain with periods, so that's an incredible blessing! You're the expert, so I'm sure you know all of that, but I am very pleased!

Rose is a perfect baby. She eats like a champ, never ever cries, and loves me and her daddy. Russell keeps waiting for her to cry! I always knew she was a mellow baby. She gives me such calm.

She arrived on the 24th 6LB 11OZ 18.5IN Everything went amazing and wouldn't of changed anything. My epi did wear off about 1 hour before pushing and I'm glad it did so I was able to experience some contractions (five before getting more med) and work through them. My hubby was AMAZING and I feel in love with him all over again. Everything that I was stressing about was the easiest things... I was afraid of them breaking my water and getting the epi, didn't even know they did it. Congrats to everyone who also deliver. If you are still waiting for your bundle of joy then it will come soon and everything will be perfect.

Hahaha...you're so cute coaxing Rose out. I had contractions last night and two this morning. I'm sending my husband to work, but who knows...I may be calling him to come back soon. We'll see if they pick up. Unlike my plain BH's, I can actually feel cramping at the same time as my tummy's tightening. Who knows.

I hope you have a great day at work and a wonderful weekend. If anything happens, I'll be sure to write a blog before I go to the hospital.

Well, I'm back from the membrane sweep. It was delightful...LOL! I'm crampy and stuff, but we'll know if it worked within 24 hours. The doctor said there's a 50/50 chance that I'll go into labor today, but I haven't had a contraction yet. We'll see!

How's London today? Is he a giggle face?

Thank you for your post. I've read it several times. I'm up tonight thinking about her arrival. I have a membrane sweep in the morning, and if it works, she'll be here by the weekend. That thought makes my heart race.

I have a Dr visit tomorrow morning to see if he'll start my labor tomorrow night or Friday morning. All depends on where I'm dilated.

London is the most adorable baby ever! I'm sure he's a happy baby because you give him all the love a mom could. Your description really made me smile!

Believe it or not, I sucked my thumb (privately) until I was nearly 30. It was some sort of security thing that I stopped when I met my husband. I'm going to use a pacifier and break Rose of the habit to help her avoid this. I guess we all have our comforts, so I figure a pacifier will at least be cleaner than a finger.

I've been well, but I had a horrible night's sleep and am absolutely wiped out now. I'm having pain and discomfort and the sporadic contraction. When I'm like this, I can't wait to go into labor...LOL. When I'm feeling fine, I'm so much more patient!

I get a membrane sweep tomorrow, so I have an increased chance of having Rose by this weekend. I'm sure I'll be happier than at any other moment of my life when I meet her.
