Update as of 6/26/08: I am enjoying "motherhood" and couldn't imagine life without "London" now. He is really starting to get a little personality and he laughs and talks (cooing) to me all the time. IT just brightens my day to see him so happy. Sometimes when he is napping I just lay and look at him...like GOSH I am really a "MOMMIE" and I have to protect this little guy. He is such a cutie and brightens my day everyday....view the pics of him and I will continue to post updated pics of him as he gets older.

Hello and welcome to my page. My husband and I are very excited about our new bundle of joy that will be joining our family in April. This is my first child and I am very excited. I can not wait to meet the little person who is growing inside of me. Girl or Boy...I don't care as long as our baby is Healthy!-:)

I just can't wait until I start really showing....I am getting bigger but I haven't completely formed my pregnant belly just yet...I can't wait to see how I look pregnant, lol. I do need to start buying some bigger clothes especially for work because these clothes are fitting kind of snug these days, lol!-:)

I spent the weekend away in Russell's family cabin in the woods. It was wonderful. We had a fireplace, solitude and nothing to do. In addition, Russell cooked for me and took care of the baby lots to give me a break.

I'm glad you're happy with your carseat. You'll have to let me know how it works out.

water is not necessary at 5 months old yet... you can always mix a bit of water into their foods when you puree it or into rice cereal. Its not a big deal yet-- you certainly don't have to give him plain water!

Hey. Emma loves her Eddie Bauer Convertible Car seat....I also know that the Brtitax comes highly recommended!! I can not believe our little ones have out grown thier carrier...weren't we just registering for all of this stuff! LOL

I don�t give my baby water yet. He�s just 5 months. I BF and he has cereal and fruits as solids. I haven�t been told anything about giving them water as BM is 90% water as it is. I suppose just try. Can�t do much harm.

Sofia outgrew her infant carrier a couple weeks ago. I subscribe to ConsumerReports.com (they test things for safety, quality, etc) so I did research before buying her Convertible Car Seat. The top four rated safest Convertible Carseats by Consumer Reports are the Britax Roundabout, Evenflo Triumph, Cosco Alpha Omega Elite, and the Britax Marathon. We got Sofia the Britax Roundabout.

it's funny u mention the next step up, because my daughter is getting too big and heavy for her carrier also..i was looking at some in target...really nice ones, but so expensive...i think the weight range was from 9-23 lbs or something like that...dont worry ...u will find the perfect seat..but check babies r us and target!!!

ok...here's what my consumer reports says:
THe Britax Roundabout ($220) and Evenflo Triumph ($120) have the same rating, however, the Britax Roundabout scored an excellent in almost every category and is 5 pounds lighter (if that matters to ya). The next highest one I see is called Cosco Alpha Omega Elite 22-155. The carseat I registered for-Britax Marathon ($250) didn't rate nearly as high as these, so I'm going to take mine off! It looks like the Evenflo may be the way to go since I need 2!

are you getting a convertible or a toddler seat? I have consumer reports and it says that Cosco and Eddie Bauer are also good (and at a lower price).

my doctor put my baby on water when i started giving him just formula if you exclusively breastfeed your baby then you don't need to give him water .....

Although expensive, all of my friends swear by the Britax. It's supposed to be the safest.

I've heard your not supposed to give babies any water at all. But if it's hot out not more than 3oz in a day.
