Well.....here I am...took a HPT 6/16/07, it was positive....took a second HPT 6/17/07, it was positive as well. My doc got me in for an appt. 6/18/07 (due to pretty severe cramping....I think it was stress). Doc did an u/s, confirming that I am pregnant. Have another appt. for u/s 6/25/07, doc said he wants to make sure I am progressing. Nervous is an understatement. So far I have not had any m/s.....however my breasts are extremely painful! Trade off for not having m/s I guess. Ha! Kinda wondering about the due date my doc gave me. According to my last period, and all of the PG calculators, my due date is 2/9/08, but doc gave me 2/11/08....just curious about the difference. 2 days, big whoop.....just wondering is all.

Had my 2nd appt. today with u/s....we have a heartbeat!!!!!!! BUT...yeah too good to be true without "something" not positive how far along I am at this point....my D/D has been changed to "Mid-February" LOL....I am trying to keep a good attitude, and I just absolutely adore my doc and have been with him for 11 years or so...anyway, I have another appt. for another u/s in 2 weeks, doc said there will be more to measure then that will give a much better determination of a due date. He said right now his best guess from the u/s is that I am 6 weeks. He explained that traditionally date of the last period generally gives a good idea and that would be perfect except for the fact that not all women ovulate precisely 2 weeks after the first day of the last period. So I may have ovulated even a week or so later...Taaa-daaaaa!!!!

Had my OB appt today.....here is a pic of the u/s....I had to crop out some of my personal info....

My baby has gotten considerably bigger in the past two weeks.....yes it is expected, I was just all silly excited about it. Fear sometimes gets the better of me...so I am very happy to see the progress. Doc measured my baby and from the measurements gave me back my Feb 11th, 2008 due date. So today I am 9w2d. I had a lot of blood drawn today, and tinkleinacup test. Breasts are still very sore. My next appointment is August 6th. My clothes are beginning to fit a bit snugger. After seeing my baby again and getting another pic, few things could ruin this day.

I spent about 6-7 hours in the ER yesterday. Completely miserable to say the least. Monday night I started having diarrhea about 8pm, then started vomiting about midnight. All night long I was severely sick. So I called my Doc in the morning and he advised me to go to the ER to be checked out and get some IV fluids. At the ER I was given 3 bags of fluids (which I later find out is actually a lot meaning I was pretty well dehydrated...or wilted as I put it) I was given some fen. (for nausea and vomiting). They could not give me anything for the diarrhea because of the vomiting and there is not much that can be given so early in pregnancy that is truly safe. By the time I was discharged the Doc still was not sure if I had food poisoning or stomach flu. Today the nausea and vomiting has passed, however the diarrhea is still hanging around. My Doc suggested that I try to tough it out and not take anything for the diarrhea because either way (food poisoning or stomach flu) it really just needs to run its course. He assured me my baby is fine, which is most important to me. I have been on clear liquids for 2 days now, and just tonight decided to try a little rice (plain and bland). I am feeling extrememly timid about eating anything at all. I never ever want to be that sick again. Hopefully the rice will help the diarrhea to ease off some. Food in general does not sound good at all. The ER did not do an us to check my baby, I wish they had, it would have put my mind more at ease.

Had a Drs appt. I was so worked up because I had been so sick for two weeks...worried if that baby was okay. I lost 5 pounds. My blood pressure was good though. Then.......then I heard the heartbeat......oh my gosh, words cannot even describe. I was such an emotional trainwreck I forgot to ask what the baby's heart rate was. I am very excited to find out if I am having a boy or a girl. I already have a wonderful son, he is 12. At first I wanted a girl....but I have been doing alot of thinking and even though it really does not matter if it is a boy or a girl, I will love whichever it is and be thrilled and thankful for just being able to have another child.....BUT, after thinking about it, I kinda want another boy. Although I drool over pink frilly lacey cutesy girly girl stuff.....it occured to me...In my opinion boys are so easy. My sister has 3 girls, my sister in law has 3 girls....my son has been a piece of cake compared to all that girl drama...LOL. Anyway, I am thankful that I am feeling better and I am able to eat, and eat more than broth and rice. I am looking forward to the 31st, for my detailed U/S...hopefully then I will have some idea if I am carrying a baby boy or baby girl and do some serious shopping!!!

I had a Dr. appt 8/31/07....what I thought was going to be a 3/d 4/d U/S turned out to be a 2d U/S. The reason I was told is that the 4d U/S are really for nothing more than fun, to see or get an idea of what the baby will look like and only shows whats going on on the outside of the baby, while the 2d U/S show whats going on on the inside which is what is most important at this stage of pregnancy. The appt. went well....I was given the option of having the Triple Screen (bloodtest) done, and I finally gave in, I decided I am going to try not to dwell too much on whatever the results are. If an amnio is more reccomended after the Triple Screen results come back then I will have it done. The fun part was seeing the ultrasound (which was not rushed by any stretch of the imagination). Seeing the baby jump and move was amazing and offered me so much relief. At one point the baby was moving its hand back and forth to its head and really looked like it was waving.....too cute!!!! The baby's HB was 142. The tech wasnt able to see the baby's sex very well, she said that she had a good guess but wasnt sure so it would be wise that I not go baby shopping just yet. I have an appt with my regular OB doc tomorrow 9/4/07. Try to get an update then and the new U/S pics soon.
she is so very cute!!! she was a big girl too!
