I am having a BOY!
Hello Everyone! I am going to be a Mommy! I can not believe it. What a surprise! My husband, Jason, and I have have been married since June 3, 2006. We moved to CA from VA last April. We left behind life-long friends and our wonderful families. We are NAVY and will have to move every 3 years for the next 12 years. We were not trying to start a family right now because Jason leaves for an 8 month deployment in a few months. He will miss the birth of our first baby. I believe that everything always happens for a reason. I am strong...or at least I keep reminding myself that I am. Congratulations to all of you mommy-to-be's.

11.4 hours ago Very good. Yeah, your hormones can take on an adventure to say the least. I believe the hormones help us bond with baby even though on the tough shell of living it can be hard. Let it flow. No problem, anytime you need some words of stregnth or comfort- just write. Hang in there. jutterback -
26.8 hours ago Your midwife sure has a sense of humor, or a lack of one that is! The only thing that worked for me was giving birth! Once i gave birth i felt so much better and did not have any postpartum depression. Alot of the reason we get like this is our hormones, we feel like crap, we do too much and end up hurting, and 40 weeks is just too damn long! Did you know that in the 9 months of pregnancy you have the same amount of hormones going through your system as a woman who lived 150 years and had no pregnancies? So its 150 years of hormones in 9 months. So just take it easy, talk out whats bothering you and focus on whats important - you! Once the baby comes its all about baby and you will forget all the crap you have been feeling for the last 9 months and you will be amazed at what you can do! kala-mae -

Tuesday, 2 September I just put my Playtex bottles in a cup of hot tap water and it warmed it up in no time. Also...if you use formula, you can use powder and use either room temp nursery water or warm tap water. danahlovesdoug -
Sunday, 31 August Hey momma~ I just read your post and I feel for you :( I was raised by only my mom and it was hard for her. I was also a single parent for a lil while after my 1st husband and I divorced (my girls were newborn and 4yrs) It was rough but I made it. You can do it. Sharra and everyone else is saying you are a very strong woman you can do it! Oh and as far as that pic goes Thos pants we're 3 times to big for me pre-pregnancy and they are very tight now, as a matter of fact only thos jeans kinda fit lol otherwise im in gym clothes. sharra -
Sunday, 31 August Hi, I am sorry you are having such a hard time. This would be a hard situation in deed. do you any support at all with your husband being gone? Any friends, support groups? You need this. Can you get involved in a Navy Mom's group?
Yes, I am voting for Obama, not just because of the war issues-we need change big time. I am sending you a big hug through the mail. Please feel free to write and yes, cry if you need too. You will get through this dear. You are a strong women and also a mom!

Sunday, 31 August oh girl, you just need as much love and support around you that you can get. I hope you have some amazing people in your life. You'll do great.. I'm sure your a much stronger woman than I am... I only get to see my hubby like 4 hours a day and that bugs me. Things will work out. At least soon you'll have a wonderful little boy to pour all your love into and keep you company!

Sunday, 31 August I used the playtex drop ins with my first. I would always warm up water in the microwave and then let the bottle with drop in sit in it until my milk was warmer. dapie898 -
Saturday, 30 August just run bottle under warm tap water...bottle doesn't need to be hot just room temperature...which helps when you are at a place where warming a bottle isn't available. i used the nursery water/powdered formula with my son and never had to warm anything but if you are pumping or using the liquid formula that needs to be refrigerated after opening just run under warm tap water and test before giving it to baby McKeela -
Saturday, 30 August Hello - as a military Brat/wife from San Diego, I was wondering what military facility are you using? I have had two children in military facilities and though I seen multiple doctors I have never seen care as you describe it.
Compared to what I am getting now I wish I could go back to portsmouth or SDMC. Out of those two portsmouth was GREAT (in my case). We should chat maybe we can exchange advice.... mommy2hicks -
Saturday, 30 August Hi, I just read your post about warming of the bottle with the drop-ins. I plan to use dop-ins with my baby, I used them with my daughter and they were great. The way I would warm her bottle in the middle of the night was so simple. I used bottle water for her formula so at night when I went to sleep I would put the water bottle next to me and my body heat would make the water warm. So when she woke up for her feeding she had her bottle fast just the time it took to pour the water in and shake it up. I always had my night bottles pre filled with the formula ready to go. For day feeding I would use the cup of hot water and just set it in there. I will be using the same bottle warming at night again since it is fast and baby wont have to cry as long and will be changed, fed and happy and everyone will be back to sleep in no time. Hope this helps, Good Luck! Shaymika1987 -
Saturday, 30 August I just thought that I would comment of your comment the your left. I thought it was so funny when you saisd your ankle was missing beacuse I have thought the same thing and people look at me like I am crazy, but I can relate. And I was funny when you said you were suprised that you are still alive with that type of treatment lol I fell like that too from my doctor everything to them is normal. herewego -
Friday, 29 August no clue if this is "scientific" but lots of protein & pineapple have really reduced my swelling this pregnancy - last pregnancy i was a balloon!!! my mom suggested the pineapple b/c she uses it to reduce joint swelling for her arthritis---it seems to work....good luck, i know that the swelling alone makes you feel less than glamorous.
