My profile

So this is my husband's and my first child; we're SO excited! It wasn't planned, but it was a fantastic surprise! I stopped using BC pills in September, and we tried the "natural" method of BC. Yeah, that didn't work, LOL! I recently graduated with my BS in Elementary Education, so this couldn't have come at a better time, honestly. So far, I LOVE being pregnant; I guess you could consider me one of the lucky ones (no morning sickness)! It has been such a great experience so far. I cannot WAIT to meet this little miracle! Best of luck to you, ladies! WE'RE having a BABY!!!

LOLOL Yeah it's like you have to hold onto it and then roll!! Ugh for sure it's annoying Especially when my bladder is even partially full.. it's so painful! She lays RIGHT on it, hehe. Thanks for the wishes.. you know it's funny, as anxious as I am here, I'm debating having her do the sweep this week, and contemplating having her just do it next week if she hasn't come yet on her own!! We'll see, I'll ask her "expert advice (ha!)" and see what happens.. I'll let'cha know afterwards how it goes.. if she does do it I hope it doesn't hurt too bad! LOL When my other doctor checked me it hurt just because of so much pressure I felt like she was pushing on my bladder.. and I would always joke like Yeah I better toughen up because if I think this is bad I can't imagine labor! Ha ha ha.. we'll see how tough I can be though! Labor dust to you! (PS I hear ya about that bottle of wine, can't wait for my champagne and strawberries!!! )

Any baby yet? Any progress?

MikeysGirls - Tuesday, 23 September
LoL Thanks, Labor Dust to you too!! This is true, it isn't much longer, we can do it!! I do pray it is sooner than later... Happy Anniversary to you two! And yes thanks for sharing about your feet! lmao, I swear I thought I may have been the only one... RAR, I can't wait for no more swollen feet, to be able to put shoes on (both to fit in them and to lean over just to actually get them on!), and to be able to roll back and forth in bed without my tummy hurting because she's being rolled to one side of my belly, haha! Oh so soooooooon! Hope my doc' will strip my membranes Wednesday... my sister had hers swept, was told only a 30% chance of working, but it worked for her at 4 days late, so we shall see!!

he he he... depends how persistent your family and friends are! My mum always pretends to be cool and collected, but the other day I didn't asnwer my phone the first three times she rang, and she freaked thinking I'd gone into labour!

Thanks. Penny is sweet. And you're bundle of joy will be here in no time. *labor dust*

I stare at him all the time! I get no sleep because I stare at him so much!! When he does open his eyes, he looks at things so intently.

So awesome... I was like 2-3 cm and 70% effaced and I just did a ton of walking... walked 24 hr stores then walked the mall... and it helped progress me too. At least until the water broke! I was so surprised that actually happened since they say most times doctors have to rupture the sack for you...
I am wishing lots of dialation and effacing for you.. If I don't hear from you, I will assume the BEST! Good luck girlie!!

ashleyt - Friday, 19 September

i thinkt that was the kind of epidural I got, because I swear I felt everything. But I didn't know I could ask for more, nor did it ever cross my mind. I just wanted the contractions to stop! After I got it, I only felt contractions on one side. Then I had to roll over to have the epidural go to my other side and then I can't feel them at all. The entire process was slow motion. It is like you see all the stuff happening that we talked about and read about and then it is happening and it feels like an out of body expierence. WEIRD.
But totally worth it!

newmom08 - Wednesday, 17 September
Yes, depending on how much epirudal is given you do feel it. My sister didn't feel anything so she couldn't tell if she was pushing and thought she was... I felt it all, but it wasn't terrible, it was just uncomfortable. Like you feel something in your pelvis region and you just want to get it out.

Diapers help out a lot, you will LOVE IT. Especially because for me, you don't have full control for a while, and when you sit down or lay down for a long period of time, and get up, you don't always have a chance to get to the bathroom and the diapers helped me in embarassing situations. Thankfully, I am at home... so I don't plan on going out until I can contain myself better!

I called my dr. to give me a Rx for the hemorids, because over the counter stuff is NOT helping. And I am pretty miserable walking around and it is hard to pick up and grab for the baby because I obviously clench muscles when I do that and some of those muscles are impaired (LOL!).

I am SO excited for you... I can't wait to hear the details. You will be EXCELLENT!

newmom08 - Wednesday, 17 September
aww... I know how you feel girlie.
Let me tell you what they didn't tell me:
Giving birth feels like you have to poop.
Purchase Depends diapers... you will NEED THEM.
Straining from pushing causes hemmroids. OUCH!

Birth is the best thing that has happened to me. Maternal instincts kick in like you wouldn't believe... and you will want to kill nurses in the hospital for coming near your child.

It is great...
you will love it! Everything you went through to get to the end result is worth it and you will forget all of this.

I can't wait to hear your story!! Please keep in touch.

newmom08 - Tuesday, 16 September
Thank you!! It is sooo wonderful and exciting and new and just worth it all in one.
I am in total bliss.

Walk a LOT, and go to Taco Bell and eat their firey hot sauce. I did that and a day later - water broke!

wendijay - Thursday, 11 September
