My husband and I have been married for over two years now. He is a machinist and is working on his degree in teaching. I am a teacher and have been teaching for three years. We had been trying for three months and found out on Jan5 that I am pregnant. It's the boy we were hoping for. Can't wait to meet Samuel!
week 4: I had cramping in my uterus for a few days, not bad but intense.
week 5: Absolutely no symptoms at all! No morning sickness, no cramps, no soreness in the bbs. I feel completely normal almost like I'm not pregnant.
week 6: I occasionally have some nausia in the afternoons but so far so good. Already showing a litte and had to buy some maternity pants. Nausia kicked in full force, can't hold anything down!
week 7: Still sick all the time especially after I eat starchy stuff I can't wait until this nausia is gone!
week 8: Still a little nausious but not that bad. I occasionally gag especially in the afternoons but I think it is slowly getting better. Bbs hurt and have blue veins all over them.
week 9: I spoke too soon. It seems to be getting worse. My belly is already sticking out so much that everyone can tell I'm pregnant.
week 10: No new symptoms. Went to the doctor and heard the baby's heartbeat!
Week 11: Starting to feel a little better. My belly is not so puffy anymore, just tight pants.
Week 12: I'm so tired...
Week 13: Illness is almost completely gone now! Though I'm afraid to say it out loud for fear that it won't stay that way.
Week 14: Planted the new garden, heard the baby's heartbeat again, on spring break and feeling great!
Week 15: Had a horrible scare where I started bleeding a little on Friday, but good news, everything was fine and we found out it is a boy! He's measuring a week and a half ahead. I guess he'll be a big baby bu I still haven't gained but a pound or two.
Week 16: Nothing new.
Week 17: Still nothing...
Week 18: Went to the doc. Finally gained five pounds! Though I should have gained at least ten or twelve by now.
Week 19: Finally felt the baby moving! Studying up on HypnoBirthing and Pranayama breathing, hoping I won't be in pain, crossing my fingers.
Week 20: Nothing new really. Finally half way through the pregnancy. Settled on the name Samuel Robert Tooker. I hope it sticks.
Week 21: Reread "Spiritual Midwifery" by Ina May Gaskin, determined to have an easy "pain free" labor through working with my contractions. Felt REALLY strong kicks!
Week 22: Another doctor's appointment, turned in my birth plan, hubby is not happy with all my "bitchy" requirements, but I have to protect my baby and myself as best as I can. Put on twelve pounds total so far, I feel fat but I guess it's ok.
Week 23: Kicks started to move above my belly button and they're really strong and getting stronger.
Week 24: Last week of school, packing up the room, lots of stress. We've got graduation on Friday, work day and G-ma's birthday on Saturday, and my friend Crystal's baby shower on Sunday and then we start summer school on Monday so no break for me!
