How do women go to 40+ weeks?? Dear goodness please don't let me get that far! Maybe it is because of the premature labor, but I am completely miserable. The baby has dropped once again causing alot of pressure on my pelvic. Since she is sitting there it is putting a crap load of pressure on my lower back, and there is nothing that has worked to relieve the pain. I feel like none of my food can digest properly and have been throwing up about once a day because of it. Man I am a complainer! But I have to get it out! I woke up this morning at 3:30 am with my little girl kicking my left side and ribs. There was no position to get her to stop. I got up thinking that if I grabbed a quick snack it would settle her down...wishful thinking on my part! It's almost 4:30 now and she is still putting up fight. I didn't know that babies stayed awake this long! I am so uncomfortable. I know it is still early, but I've gone three weeks since my premature labor scare and I'm ready. My body told me to have her and they stopped it thankfully...but now I feel like I'm being punished!!! Ugh, I would love to know when the end is.

34 weeks and crawling along. On February 4th I was feeling a little odd and felt the baby extremely low. The next day was an OB appointment so I thought I'd wait it out. On the 5th I made a comment to a co-worker that it felt like my little girl was literally trying to get out of me. I went in for my OB appointment at 2:30. I let my OB know about my feelings and she decided to check me. I was 90% effaced and 1 centimeter dilated. She took me to get monitored and sure enough I was in active labor. I never felt a single contraction. At 7:00 I was on a plane to Washington since the hospital where I live cannot handle a premature baby. After trying many alternatives to stop the labor contractions they finally hooked my up to magnesium. The magnesium made me vomit, I could barely speak, and could barely even move. For a day and a half I spent the time in a daze. I had double vision when awake, slept through nurses taking my vitals, and had trouble using the bathroom on my own. Luckily for me my husband was there with me. The magnesium did work though and the contractions stopped. A week later I was discharged. I am now on bed rest and take Nifedipine every 8 hours to keep the contractions at bay. On Friday, my 35th week, I will go off the Nifedipine. We'll see what happens after that. I'm just so happy that they stopped her from coming. Her lungs were not developed enough and she would have been in the hospital for weeks, possibly until her due date. At 35 weeks her lungs will be fully developed (plus they gave me steroids to help with lung development). All she will have to do in order to get out of the hospital is maintain her body temperature, eat, and have no episodes of sleep apnea. Cross your fingers!

31 weeks and still cookin'! I can't believe how huge I feel! Crazy thing is I get around women in my same week and they are all bigger then I am. I can't even imagine! I feel so blessed to have this little girl on her way. So far she hasn't slowed down in activity. I could get my full kick count in about 10 minutes most of time! My baby shower is on February 2nd and I can't wait. I'm lucky to have friends that want to share this with me. It's hard enough being away from family. I started my birthing classes and they have been so great. I love the instructor and being around the other women is wonderful. I love the support. Good luck ladies!

Well, things are progressing amazingly! This little girl is active! So far I have gained about 20 pounds, still catching up from terrible morning sickness. I have been gettng plenty of heartburn and horrible sleep. I can't seem to get comfortable no matter what I do. But I will say that this experience has been wonderful and I wouldn't change it for anything. I can't wait to see this little one. My husband and I are in the military and he is leaving next week for about 9 months. He'll be back a couple of times inbetween, and hopefully for the birth of our darling girl. But nonetheless it's going to be difficult. My baby shower isn't for a couple of weeks, but so far I don't really need all that much. Our family has been wonderful and very excited, so they have taken care of alot of the smaller details.
I really hope that everyone else is having just as great of an experience. Good luck mommies!

I had my appointment today and I found out that we're having a little girl!!! I'm so happy, it's really what we wanted. I can't be more pleased with how things are going!! She is due a day after my birthday, which is so special. Even though only 1% of women actually give birth on their due date, it will be so great that she is born around my birthday. My nephew was born this past April, so they will be very close in age. I'm doing much better now and really starting to enjoy the pregnancy. I feel like I've already bonded with this little girl. I can't wait to see the miracle that my husband and I have created.
