My name is Melanie. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for the last 7 years...Through God's will and PERFECT timing...HE has blessed us, with a beautiful baby boy, Brett Harrison. Born Septmeber 5, 2008 @ 2:43am. He was a biggie... 9 lbs 7 oz and 21 inches long!

With Brett now in our arms, my husband and I finally feel complete. He is the love of our lives!

Currently I am on maternity leave. It is a debate whether I will return to work. I want to go back to work, but at the same time my heart breaks just thinking about leaving Brett with someone else. I don't want to miss a minute of his life ... but at the same time I love teaching. AND... with the way the economy is, I probably should head back to work after the first of the new year.

That would be nice to have that school schedule. She did pretty well. About 3:00pm she started to get fussy witch is normal for her. That's when she wants our attention. It was harder leaving her today. Yesterday I was able to hold back from crying but, today as soon as I got into the car I started crying.

Thank you. You sound a lot like me. I trained this person the way I wanted my work to be done and I guess he didn't listen because he did it his own way. I'm just not going to stress and try to work through it. If I get stressed I'll just think of my family and it will put a smile on my face because at the end of the day they are all that matter. So what gradedo you teach?

I agree... I think she likes the breast more. Today is my first day back. It's hard I really miss her so much and just want to go home and be with her. Plus someone took my place while I was out and all I've been doing is cleaning up their mess so it makes it even hard to be here. I've had to stop myself from crying a few times.

Thank you. I tried the bottle today and she took 1 oz She was taking 1-2 oz with the Avent so I'm not sure if it's any better. I'm sure it will take a few days with any bottle.

My little dude is impatient too.. my let down is extremely fast and he usually chokes and starts coughing initially. poor thing but he doesnt seem to care he's in such a hurry. lol. I skipped over the level 1 nipples because of that reason. Good luck. I hope everything works out for ya.

I agree. I'm not due back until the 24th but, my sister-in-law is going to watch her so now that I have someone I trust I'm going back TOMORROW and I'm now starting to freak out about it and just want to cry. I keep telling myself I'll at least stay and see how it goes until the first of the year. I went out and bought a bottle called BreastFlow. They say it's just like the breast and it almost feels like it. I haven't tried it yet. If it doesn't work then I'll keep trying with the Avent.

I'm having the same issue with my little girl. Only takes 1-2oz when I feed her with a bottle. I think my husband can get her to eat more. I'm due back this Thursday.. I'm using Avent right now. I think I might try a bottle called beastflow. My Dr said I didn't need to try another bottle and she'll just learn she can't always breastfeed but, I'll feel bad. Dr also said Dr Brown's are good bottles.

Well Alfie is getting weighed on thur and he will be a month old then, reckon he will be over 11lb!! He wakes every 3-4 hours too, but in the day he doesn't do that straight he has his grizzly moments! Alfie is on formula and yeh it is quite expensive, they should so make it cheaper. I need to sleep more too, I am just shattered.. hopefully soon Alfie will go a whole night, he has done 6 hours once... woo hoo but never again ha ha. Think we have 2 hungry litle men xoxo

ARGHHHHHHHHH!!! I just did a masive reply and the site stopped working!

I am really good thanks hun, Alfie not constipated anymore, poo's for england lol and I am loving being a mum. Monday when Ben went to work I was pretty teary and got a little frustrated with crying but now I am getting more and more used to the fact that I have a littl man and enjoy taking him out like u.. mostly shopping.. but its gr8 cuz pple stop me all the time to say how lovely he is.. i cant stop staring at him sleeping, he is gorgeous he he!!

How are things with you? The local mum's group seems a good idea.. i need out about all that.. think would be good to get me out the house! xoxo

Hey hun...

Alfie is ok as long as he isn't constipated lol then he moans like a trooper. Ben is fully back to work tomorrow which is scaring me a bit, like u say being on my own with Alfie is daunting. When Ben is here he is fine and sleeps real well.. but bet that will change when he goes to work.. I will see tomorrow I suppose! The sleeping at night is great at the moment, he wakes every 4 hours for a feed so if I do a late feed at about midnight he will wake about 4ish then again in the morning, it just doesn't help that I am someone who likes my sleep so being up an hour in the night is a killer. He is getting weighed tomorrow so will let ya know how much he weighs then.. I reckon over 9lbs now! Don't go back to work till June 10th next year, UK we get 9 months off, but not fully paid. I am glad u are doing well and are happy xx
