Boopy - Friday, 16 May
Yup...I'm thinking another month also. She still has to learn how to feed and nurse...probably in another couple of weeks...and she needs to pack on more fat so she does not have to be in an incubator. I can't wait!

Still hanging in there? How did your move go? Well I got my terbutaline(sp) pump Tuesday. I feel like a jittery mess. It's hard to do anything fine motor because the med makes me so shaky. Once I hit 34 weeks I am going to ask my doctor if I can stop all of the meds. Off and on I have been getting thick blobs of discharge with what looks like white little veins in it, (I know gross) so I was wondering if it is my mucous plug. I really don't know what it looks like so now I am nervous about that. Since you have been contracting, did you loose your plug yet? I have a doctors appointment tomorrow so I will ask him. I also kind of hoping that he will check me so that I know if I made any cervical change. Hopefully not, but once 34 weeks comes I am ready to deliver this baby!

DianaBanana - Thursday, 15 May
thats a tough decision but a really good one. I know how it feels and...well, you will be so much happier that way then always wondering about what her deal is...

Boopy - Thursday, 15 May
just checking in lil momma! how ya doing?

emarie08 - Wednesday, 14 May
Omg, I feel for you. I'm sorry to hear that! I would definately be pissed with my friend. Don't worry, you still have plenty of time... just email some invitations.

DianaBanana - Wednesday, 14 May
Hi girl! sorry to hear about your bff...hmm...doesnt sound very friendly at all...you know, friends can be weird sometimes when your life changes. my best friend in the world travelled to my wedding ( which didnt work out in the end...long story) only to be a royal bitch and the never spoke to me again. sometimes women maybe get jealous or feel inadequate or have the need to compete or for whatever reason just cant be good friends when you need them. just leave her be and let her come to you. as upsetting as it is at such a beautiful time in your life...you dont need the drama. thats my advice and its tough...hopefully she will come around for you.
Peace, diana

JAGJAC - Wednesday, 14 May
Hi Thanks for the message. My bp is 128/70, only slightly raised from my normal of 110/60. Do you think this is raised much? My midwife is monitoring it but she said she wasnt worried. J x

OMG, you poor thing! I'm sorry your BFF didn't plan your shower like you had hoped. Just contact as many people as you can via email to tell them about the last minute shower. I would even let her know just how much she hurt your feelings!!

sarahj82 - Wednesday, 14 May
I would not contact your BFF. Since she is the one that blew off something that is very important in your life she needs to contact you. If you go to her she will think it is ok to do what she did to you. That is a really great sister to do that for you. Hope everything works out for you.

babyjohn - Saturday, 10 May
I'm with you- I feel that the Procardia is NOT working. If it was working I would not need the pump right???? I also would not feel or have contractions. I am a nervous wreck that I will star labor any minute. I need to calm down! I am waiting for the company to call me back to arrange to get hooked up to the pump. After a few days of being on it I will let you know how it is and IF IT WORKS!!!!!

babyjohn - Friday, 9 May
I am still contracting like crazy, even with the Procardia every 6 six hours, sooo today my doctors have decided to put me on a Tributaline pump. Not familiar with it at all. I know you have been contracting and was wondering if you are on "the pump".

Oh, i forgot. Analise is doing great. Off the nasal cannula...and now the feeding tube is going down through her nose to her belly. Doesn't make her gag now. Also, she is one oz over her birth weight! Finally moving on up! Thanks for asking.

Boopy - Thursday, 8 May
Oh Lord....i wish i were bored!!!! Going back to work has been so difficult. I don't sleep, and I'm so stressed because we are short staffed at the hospital where I work. I'm going to lose it. To top it off, I have to worry about pumping so my milk doesn't dry up...have to make time to visit at the hospital where Analise is, and that's an hour from work. Oh, I'm feeling it. Now that I'm back at work, I won't have much time to link up with this site for support. :o( Well...I read your post. Be careful with that back pain...that lower back pain is actually back labor. Also, I had to go to a dr that did not know me either...it was my first appointment with them since we moved. A week later...I went into labor. Did they see anything abnormal at that time? NO. I didn't have an u/s until the following week, and that is when shit hit the fan. Lovely. In any case....I have a lot to do before work. Just wanted to touch back and let you know I'm thinking and praying for you. Hang in there!!! xoxoxo

DianaBanana - Thursday, 8 May
Ya, its true! the little ones barely put a beating on their things so you can use them over and over! thats also why I dont mind going to baby consignment shops! way better deals! and the clothes are even softer for having been washed a few times! haha! Im on med leave now. sciatic and groin pains too much for me to be able to keep working....my job likes me to bend and lift and squat too much...so...there you go. we just moved into our new house and I am so excited! cant wait to do the baby room up! too bad i have to wait for my man to do a tear down and replace the drywall and paint...uhg...haha...he better get on it! have a great day girl!

softkitty - Thursday, 8 May
You having to stand at the Dr's office is just a reflection of society today. I'm in NYC and whenever I have to take public transportation it's the same mess. Young men, women all remain seated even though you clearly look as if you're about to explode. Bastards! Oh one more. How about I got L&D and this family has 3 seats occupied with crap, didn't bother to move them till I stood in front of it. God knows I would have put all their shit on the floor so I could sit if they didn't move it. The nerve!

TrishW - Thursday, 8 May
thats awesome!!!you'll have no problem getting your pre-baby body back !!!

Chaos - Thursday, 8 May
So sorry to hear about your dog. They become members of the family, it is so hard to say goodbye. My dog of 16 years was put down a few years ago and it was absolutely heartbreaking. Not the kind of stress you need ever, let alone when going through as exciting of a pregnancy as you're having! I hope you're hanging in through the bedrest.... I really just can't imagine being confined to bed. Is youre husband good about it?

Things have been exciting on this end - got taken by ambulance to the hospital yesterday after fainting at work and then getting some spotting. But baby is fine and I'm hanging in there, too. Seems my heart condition, which hasn't bothered me for years, is making itself known again. It was kind of fun to watch them monitor baby's heartrate - it went all the way for 110 up to 173, staying mostly around 150-160. Apparently they like it when it jumps all over the place - the more, the better!

Take care and keep in touch!

Mum2-3 - Thursday, 8 May
Hi, I know what you mean about standing just for short lengths of time. Next time ask the receptionist to get you a chair to sit on and you could tell them why. Next time they might be considerate enough to think to offer it and people might see and think about moving for a pregnant lady.

ll bree ll - Thursday, 8 May
my friend had to bring her own diapers, and her hospital is only 30 mins away. i thought it was very odd :/ i dont know if they give them a pacifier or what. its all crap i gotta ask lol. but im planning on bringing 3 sleepers, 3 short sleeved tshirt with sidesnaps and one longsleeved one, 1 recieving blanket, and one heavier blanket, and i think thats it for her. lol. depends on what they provide :/ oh my, i wonder what the pjs your mil will pick out, if she doesnt listen to the "but ill get that" part :P

ll bree ll - Thursday, 8 May
i waited til this week to start actually thinking/getting ready to pack my bags. since 25 weeks theyve been saying ill go at 34 weeks. so i didnt want to jinx it :P heh. so yesterday my mom took me to lunch to celebrate that we made it past 34 weeks lol. and we went shopping i bought pjs and all the travel shampoos and stuff lol. i have NO idea what my hospital gives me. i made a list this morning of questions to ask him, and thats one of them lol. id like to know if i need to bring diapers beforehand :P heh.

i found the perfect pjs too. im breastfeeding, and i dont want to get the granny looking pjs with the buttons all down the front, so i found some wifebeaters with buttons that go about 3 inches past my boobs. its perfect! lol
