Hi there. I have been praying for you. How are you doing? Do your contractions make you dilate at all? When I first went into the hospital after what turned out to be a day of contractions, my cervix ended up softening and opening to one cent. Then it became a race against the clock. Some people can walk around their whole pregnancy being effaced and dilated, but not me. I guess the next time around I will be placed on strict bed rest at 5 months because of these fibroids that are within the lining of my unterine walls. In any case....hang in there....I know it's scary.

Aww that isnt good, but at least you know about the short cervix and didnt just go into labor way early. Hopefully you can keep the baby in there for at least a few more weeks! What do you do on bedrest all day read? I am pretty good a very unevntful pregnancy but that is good I cant wait to have her!

isnt finding baby things so fun! there is so much cute stuff out these days! I have a lot already and i have decided to hold off on the baby shower til he is born. that way people can enjoy meeting him as well. Im glad that you are feeling good! take it easy girl! have a great night!

I know, nurses can be bitches sometimes. I work with alot of them. Just ignore them if they make you feel like its not a big deal. The bottom line is they don't know if its a false alarm until they check you. I can't tell you how many times I've heard of L&D nurses treating patients like that and then guess what, they end of delivering within a day or two. So, if your concerned just go to the hospital and don't worry about what those crotchety old nurses say. =)

Thanks n same to you, you still have sum time thought, maybe she thinking of doing it close to ur last month, i would ask her, or just plan it myself, showers are such a blessing there really helpful. keep me posted on wat happens

Hey,
If your having more than 4 contractions an hour then go to the hospital!!! Who cares what they think? The shots they give you are delaying your delivery and every day counts. You don't want to go into full blown labor because you waited. They won't be able to stop it then. You especially don't want to have that baby at home!! I don't mean to preach at you but I'm a NICU nurse and every day you can buy your baby inside is huge!! Babies born this early do ok if born at the hospital, but if born at home they spend too much time without oxygen and it can result in severe brain injury. I don't mean to scare you but please don't take any chances!!

Oh awesome. Yeah, my mom is also from there. We go every year (I actually suspected my pregnancy ON the flight back from Guatemala over thanksgiving) It's such a beautiful place. Do you know exactly where she's from? I've also been to Puerto Rico, it's so pretty there!

Thank you!! I can't believe my midwife never gave me a list, she's usually really good about getting me all the information I need!!!! I also hope that you are doing well on bedrest. I'm sure it's a scary and somewhat uneventful time but just hang in there! I think you wrote me a while back and I completely spaced (pregnancy is making me crazy!) and you said that your mom is from Guatemala?

Yeah I have been working out and walking at least 3 miles a day even before I was pregnant. I was even jogging everyday til I was about 30 weeks but at that point I felt like the baby was going to just fall out from all the bouncing lol so I starting walking 4 mph for 3 miles a day and still pretty much do that everyday so I am hoping I have him early. I would love to have him in 2 weeks which would put me a week early but the reason I say 2 weeks and not sooner is because I have so much I need to do. I still have my backyard to work on. I've been pulling weeds, and picking up my dogs pooh, planting flowers, cleaning bbq grill ect... then I just completely rearranged my family room and I want to clean and disinfect my whole house from top to bottom from the windows to the baseboards lol I am a need freak. Always have been. My sister was telling me that I am suppose to wash all of his brand new clothes due to some chemical that are put on them to prevent bugs from eating them while theyre in the store. Ever heard of that? They're just too cute to wash. I dont wanna wear them out. I want him to wear them brand new. I dunno guess I am weird. My husband is paranoid because we have 4 cats and he wants me to get rid of them. I'm like "no way, those are my babies. I just wont let them around my babies". Anyways I am going to make some supper before hubby gets home from work then we're going to do some fishin. Talk to you soon.

P.S Bed rest would suck. Hope youre not going to crazy.

Ya when I went to my dr 2 weeks ago I wasnt dialated then today I found out I was a 2. I am hoping that next monday at my next appt I will be a 3. Everyone I have talked to says that everyone is different. Some people say that they were dialated to a 2 for like 3 weeks and still went over due by a week or two and some people say that when they were dialated to a 2 that within a few days to a week they had there baby so I guess it depends on when the little guy wants to come i guess. Anyways, thanks for writing. Good luck on your pregnancy.

I was in so much pain I could hardly walk. It still hurts today pretty bad...I have a doctor's appointment Friday so if it still hurts by then I'll say something about it. I had my glucose tolerance test this past Friday...SO GROSS! haha it tasted like, nasty ICE COLD orange koolaid. Not my favorite thing in the world I'll tell ya that much haha How've you been feeling?

I've cried many, many days but I just had to learn to have faith and trust in God becuase, he will never let me down. I already proved the doctors wrong made it 28 weeks. I just want to keep my son inside of me safely for as long as possible. Does the hospital near you have a Level 3 Nicu?
