Dec. 3, 2007 I am now 7 weeks and 3 days and have been cramping a lot. I still cannot get in to see the doctor. I have a good feeling, not like anything is wrong, but I want the pain to go away. I do not remember all this pain with my first two, but let's just see what happens. I just have a feeling that the Doctor will not see me until after the holidays which is fine with me because then maybe they will do an ultrasound and we might can see the sex of the baby.

Dec.5,2007 Well I have an appointment, finally! Next week on Thursday at 8:45 am. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I am making Beef Stew today because I have been craving it. Never craved anything with my first two.
Dec.7, 2007 I feel pretty good today. I am counting down the days to my first appointment. I am pretty sure they will do an ultrasound, they usually do on the first visit just to see how everything is and measure the baby.
Dec. 9, 2007 I have been feeling alright today. I finished my finals for school and start two new classes tomorrow. I can rest a little knowing that my finals are over. I feel really tired as usual, but have so much to do. I put the tree up last night and in the process I broke out in a sweat. I believe my blood pressure went up, so I sat down, drank water and relaxed. Well just a few more days until my appointment and I can't wait. It's early and the morning and I am at my worst in the morning. I am gonna try to eat breakfast before i go so I do not get sick.
Dec.17, 2007 I had a bad migraine yesterday and could bot even stand. I never made it to my appointment because my insurance has not kicked in. I need to see the doctor, but need to wait for my insurance. This morning I got sick, which makes the second time. The first was when I had to go to the ER. I know I will have morning sickness, but I should not be vomiting continuously. I will be 10 weeks on Wednesday and can't wait. A few more weeks and i will be in my second trimester. Time has already gone by so fast.

Dec. 18, 2007 Today I have been feeling pretty good. I have a little more energy than usual. I am going to go and but maternity jeans because some of my pants are uncomfortable. I can still fit in them, but they just do not feel right.LOL! I keep having dreams with baby girls. I don't know what that means, but we will see. When I was pregnant with my first, I had dreams with a boy, same with my second. They are both boys, now I have dreams with girls hmmm... we'll see what happens. By the time I go to the Doctor, I am sure they will be able to tell me what I am having.Well I better get back to my college algebra, yuck, who really uses those letters x and y in real life?
JANUARY 5, 2008
January 17, 2008 I haven't posted anything in a while. I am 14 weeks and 1 day and I am starting to show. I had to go and but maternity jeans yesterday. I went to Ross and found so many I wanted, but only bought two because that's all I really need. If I get a little bigger I will buy two more. They were only 6.99 and they are so cute like regular jeans. I also bought some cute shoes. Anyway, finally the dizziness and nausea have gone away. I run out of energy fast, but I just keep going all day. I am still on my antibiotics for my UTI because I can't take the medicine in the morning, so instead of twice a day, I take it right before bed so I don't get sick. I have my first appointment on the 23rd of this month, next week. It was the 24th, but they had to move it up, no complaints from me. I can't wait, neither can my husband and best friend Robi. She is counting down the days. Everyone seems to think it is a girl and I just can't wait to find out. I know they can tell at 15 weeks, so I am hoping the baby cooperates and we can find something out. I am constantly on the ultrasound picture sites and play those games to see if I can determine the sex of the baby by looking at the ultrasound picture. I am pretty good at it. I do it so that when I go to the Doctor, I will know what to look for. So, I can look, and in case the Doctor doesn't tell me, I might can tell just by looking. I know it's nuts, but I just can't wait another month to find out.

January 20, 2008 So three more days until my appointment and keep asking my husband if he is going to go. He keeps saying yes, but I am not sure because he says he hates to be in the room while I am getting examined by a male doctor. I told him it puts me at ease when he is in there with me like with my last pregnancy. He sat there and talked to me, and everything went by so fast. So far that reason he says he will go with me. I hope he does. I have been eating less lately, haven't had a great appetite. I eat my regular three meals and snacks in between. I eat plenty of apples and I bought some protein bars. I have already had to buy a bigger bra. With my first two pregnancies I didn't have to until like the 7th month. I feel like if I have gained weight it has been in my chest. LOL. Well I will post something after my appointment. I am nervous, but excited and can't wait. I hope they can tell me the sex being that I will be like 15 weeks.

I am 16 weeks today and couldn't be happier. Time has been going by fast. I am needing some ideas on a theme for the crib. I have done Winnie the Pooh with my first and Boyd's Bears with my second so I am not sure what I want this time around. My next appointment is in exactly three weeks. I will be at 19 weeks so I think they will do another ultrasound since he said he thinks it's a boy, now he can confirm. Well I feel the baby kick a lot, especially at night. He also makes himself into a ball and I sure do feel that! I continue to have horrible headaches. I called my doctor the other day and he said it was not pregnancy related. What the heck did he mean by that? Of course it is related especially if it is my blood pressure causing them. He said to go to my family doctor so I called my family doctor and the receptionist Marianne my buddy, said that my doctor is crazy for saying it is not related. She said he needs to be the one to prescribe something and I totally agree. She also said they really do not treat pregnant women and I completely understand. So these headaches are everyday and really bad. If my doctor will not give me something besides Tylenol, I will finding a new doctor. He needs to take my blood pressure into consideration since I have suffered from high blood pressure and migraines. I know headaches are normal during pregnancy, but not like this. Believe me, I have been pregnant twice before this one, so I think I should know what to expect. Well next subject is the name of the baby. My husband and I decided on Blake Aden, well today he said he likes the name Cash. Well so do I, so he said well how about Blake Cash. I like Cash, but don't think it goes with Blake, but then again when I add our last name it kind of sounds alright. Blake Cash Collins. Hmmm.... I am not sure.
February 8, 2008 Okay I am now 17 weeks and 1 day, but according to this site, 2 days. I continue to have these bad headaches, but oh well until I see the doctor on the 21st. I have been getting out and about a little more than before because I need the fresh air. I have been walking and fishing. I still get sick every now and then. I cannot take a prenatal vitamin because I get sick immediately. The other day I got sick and it was so gross, the taste of nothing but IRON. I don't know what else to take so that the baby is healthy. I will have to discuss that with the doctor. Well I am getting closer and time is going by a little faster. I went to H and R Block today and filed yeah! My husband and i should get our check tomorrow so I am going to buy the crib. I still haven't decided on the theme of the nursery, but I hope to figure it out soon. Oh yeah, my husband has picked another name- Aiden Cash or I might spell it Aidan which is the traditional spelling, but who wants to be traditional right. Now a days people are naming their kids Apple and Banana.
Well I guess I will update in a few days or weeks because my head well you all now by now, HURTS!!!!!!
February 14, 2008 18 weeks.Well it's Valentine's Day and all is well. I made cookies this morning and put together a veggie tray for my 4 year old sons party at school. I went to the party and it was fun except for having to sit in those itty bitty little chairs. The kids had pizza for lunch and then came the sweets. They had cupcakes, cookies, pie, candy, and like a triple chocolate brownie cake with oreo cookies crumbled on top. My gosh, now Mason will never sleep tonight. He only licked the whipped topping off the cupcake because he doesn't like chocolate. Not very many people ate the veggies. Oh well, I wanted to take something healthy. Well my appointment is next week and I can't wait. heck, can't wait til I go every two weeks.
February 24, 2008 Well I have been experiencing a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions at 19 weeks and 3 days. Last night I hurt so bad. My lower abdomen was so tight and the pain kept coming and going. Today I am still having the pain and the BH. I am not sure what to do. I guess if they continue I should call the doctor tomorrow. With my last pregnancy they started at around this time and my son was a month early so I am thinking it will happen with this one. I don't really have an appetite either which is strange, I have a full feeling. Well other than that I feel fine.
March 25, 2008 So I haven't posted anything in a while. I am now 23 weeks and 5 days and am on BED REST! It sucks. I really don't stay in the bed because it is boring, but I am not over doing it. What has been happening is that I have been having a lot, and I mean a lot of BH so I told the doctor on the 20th and he was very concerned, so he put me on bed rest. Then he said he wanted to see me in a month unless they continue. Well I still get them regular, so I will be calling him possibly today so he can start seeing me every two weeks. He already said he is going to put me on meds. Well I guess anything to keep that baby in works for me. I just don't want to go to 40 weeks. So my BFF is planning my shower which is all good. Come to find out my sister from Cali will be here just for the shower. Well I am not supposed to know, but she is. Well the other day my BFF said "sorry, but she won't be able to make it" Yeah Right!!!! I wasn't born yesterday. I know my sis and she will be here. I will be 34 weeks and 2 days at my shower, too bad I can't have the baby while she is here. That would make me the happiest person on the face of this earth. My sister and I are very close. Well I am almost 24 weeks which is 6 months. WooHoo!!!! I have never counted down to 40 weeks, I always take 2 weeks away so time can go by faster, or at least it seems it does. So I say I have 2 1/2 months left. I know I'm crazy, but if it makes the day closer, I will count like that. So if you really think about it, We are almost in April. So the May and June make 2 months and if the baby is early like my first two, then 2 weeks. So 2 1/2 months. Oh I am talking nonsense now, it must be being in the bed. Okay well that's all I have for now. I will update some other time.

Oh ok. I hope that's a good thing for you. Now that you've been putting it off for so long I'm sure you're somewhat ready for the baby to make his entrance! They put me on bed rest for the next two weeks because they want me to at least try to go to 37 weeks. Since I'm not dilating they don't want anything except for contractions to interfere. So it's really just like me pretty much sitting around for two weeks, then I can do everything to have this little man! Haha.

Wow. this is like really a couple of days away. :) so glad you lasted all this while. Am not really contracting. but i am having cramps on and off. not a great feeling. i still need to get my hair coloured and shortened to make for easier handling. no idea how i am gonna get that done. bought all i need for the baby. atleast enough to last me a few days. lets see hsince i dont know the sex of the child yet, am having to buy stuff in green and orange and yellow.

looking forward to hearing from you and the little one real soon and yeah, heres hoping you dont have to suffer through much pain. loads of love and prayers as always.

hey. saw my doc yesterday. they sent me to have a ctg taken and the baby's pulse rate was way above normal. since i was in the labour room when they took the ctg, the quickened pulse could have either been caused by the lady in the bed next to mine screaming (she was having her baby) or it was that i was terribly hungry and on the verge of passing out.

anyways, since i also have gd, the doc wanted to check the amount of fluid around the baby and check if i would fare any better after lunch. the reports came out just perfect. so i can relax now.

She ahs also taken me off the muscle relaxants and asked me to stay in bed for as long as i can. she wants me to make it to 36 weeks and 5 days. thats when she removes the stitches of the cerclage. if all's well i go back home and keep the baby inside for another week. else i deliver right away. she will in any case not let the pregnancy continue beyond the 38 week. she will induce me then.

thats a really long update isnt it??? :) howz everything with you? howz the contractions coming along?

hey, am sooooo hoping my doc will take me off medication to stop contractions this week or the next. i really want to have the baby early. i have waited so long and there have been soo many complications, i just dont want anything going wrong. and if 36 weeks is good enough, so be it. and with GD, the baby is on the bigger side. so i am hoping that will work to my advantage.

i know what you mean. besides it been months of praying and hoping everything goes on well. if i am not mistaken, you've been on tenterhooks since around the same time that Boopy delivered her baby. And yes, it can take its toll on a person and really really test your nerves.

just hang in there. And remember you've been hanging in there not in your own strength, but in gods and will continue to do so.

It seems so eerie to me also because it sounds exactly what my best girlfriend did to me when I got married...I guess you know who your friends are. sounds like you have a great group of friends around you and thats fantastic. Hi! I read your post about your shower - I hope you enjoyed it! The food sounds awesome, you are making this preggo very hungry! That's nice that your sister was able to come out and help. My sis is moving in with us until the middle of August to help with the little one, as my husband works crazy long hours. Gotta love family!

You sound very ready to have the baby! We are definitely getting there, too. I have my fingers crossed for 37 weeks - then I am doing EVERYTHING in my power to get it out! It is already measuring big, sounds like at 37 weeks it will be about 7.5 lbs so it is getting evicted!!! Walking, jumping jacks, sex, accupressure points, whatever it takes!

Sounds like you got everything but make sure you bring yourself a going home outfit you never know if your water will brake before you get to the hospital and then those cloths are not wearable! Because its baby number three it might go so fast it will blow your mind! My first was so fast I am scared to death to go into labor with this one!

Hey- are you still hanging in there? I assume that you are still pregnant? How have you been feeling? This is not fun being on bed rest and contracting, but you can relate. I actually had an appointment today, and I get to get rid of my terbutaline pump in 2 1/2 weeks, when I hit 36 weeks. My doc thinks that when I get rid of it I will have labor within 24 to 48 hours. So, I really haven't been on bed rest this week. I have been buying stuff for the baby and getting things ready because i think my little guy will be here in 3 weeks.

My intestine twisted and enstrangulated itself. I had surgery to remove the dead intestine. Then a week later my bowl leaked where they had sewn me back together, so I had another er surgery and ended up with and ileostomy. My baby girl did really well through it all. I am so thankful. Your belly is cute, a lot smaller then mine ever was. Are you still on bed rest?

Hey! How are things going? Still pregnant?! This isn't a very fun boat to be in with contractions all the time, is it?! You've been putting up with it a lot longer than I have! Baby shopping is SO much fun, and it is so exciting seeing the husband enjoying it, too. Sounds like you are set! Are you having a baby shower? Did you end up with strep throat? Are you feeling better?

Things are going well here. Putting up with the contractions and taking exciting drugs that make me feel like I'm floating when they get too strong. Baby is still high, so the doctor is happy. I've been trying to take it easy, but I really am not good at it. I've become more crafty than I though possible, a real Martha Stewart-in-training! LOL Having way too much fun decorating the nursery, I'll post pics soon. My friends/family are throwing me a shower this weekend - it was supposed to be a surprise but they decided to tell me because they didn't want me to go into labour from the shock and excitement! I'm very excited, and my mum and sister are coming down for it. Then next week I can finish up baby shopping (if my husband will let me out of the house!).
