My name is Nicole and I am 20 years old. My husband Chris and I have been together for 4 years this October 3rd. We live in Eatontown, New Jersey and probably plan on living here forever lol [ if it's up to me =) ]. In January 2008 we found out we were expecting & in April we found out it was a little girl! I would have been happy either way, but I did kind of want a girl first. I had a hard pregnancy, high blood pressure, diabetes, in pain every day... but I had an extremely healthy baby. I love being a mommy and a wife. I never knew I could love anyone so much until I met my baby girl Aviana Lucia. She is my everthing & I am going to do the best I can to give her a good life =).

We really owe thanks to my obgyn. With all of the problems I had during my pregnancy he always stayed one step ahead and prevented some really serious complications from occurring. He kept me calm during my pregnancy and made it possible for us to have a completely healthy and beautiful baby girl. Dr. Giovine is the best doctor ever and I will really miss him and the wonderful nurse Maura.

well we did the saline drops but no crying... weird, will let ya know if it helps.. Im gonna have to do it by myself tomorrow morn, I'm tempted not to get out of dressing gown at all tomorrow lol is that bad? x

Oh no I hate it when he properly cries.. thats why i'm getting ben to do it!! So has it def helped? I wanted to give him Calpol or summit, bt wouldn't let me!! 23lbs at 5months is that big? I don't know whats normal.. I'm hoping he will stop having a growth spurt soon.. gonna get him weighed again Mon I expect.. he's only got chubby cheeks, nothing else.. oh he's stirring, bless him x

U will never guess how much he wighs.. at 4 weeks he was 11lbs.. although he did start of as nearly a 9lb baby they got his weight wrong initially..long story!! Alfie eats anywhere between 4 and 6oz, but he's been having more of the 4oz, maybe its cuz he's ill.. not sure.. Do u put a drop of saline in each nostril each time? I love that car seat pic too, looks so proud, now he is just a chubster... but I love him sooo much! Put him next to his friend who is 11 weeks on Monday and he is so much more stockier.. its very strange! I like to keep him in his slep suits as much as poss to make him look more like a baby, when he's in big clothes he looks like a proper boy and don't want that yet ha ha... oh no I;m sat here sneezing arghhhh xoxo

Your little girls name is beautiful!! He hasn't been too bad today, although the cold is getting worse, I have got some saline drops from docs, but gonna get ben to adminster them ha ha!! My boy is such a chubster compared to other babies!! Its hard work when all they do is scream or cry u can't get anything done... how much is ur little one eating now? xox

She went to sleep finally about 1130 last night slept til 230 then went back to bwed 315 til 6 so it was still A rougher night than usual...BUT TODAY SHE SEEMS SO MUCH BETTER! THANKGOD!!

Madison did that eating every two hours on Sunday. All day long she seemed hunrgy. Monday and Tuesday we were back to normal. She is still doing good. Hope Aviana feels better soon. It probably just a growth spurt.

Madison has been on the senstive formula since Monday-mid morning. It seems to be have done th trick. She hardly has any gas compared to before. Her pooping is doing great. It is funny that as mommies we are excited about poop when there has been a problem.

How is Aviana doing?

awww.. thanks for the advice hun, no one else responded ha ha.. Its awful, he is soooo tired but everytime he wakes up e gags, coughs and screams, the only place he is content is in my arms and that isn't for long... I am going to try the spray I think.. Its been a long day it looks like its gonna be a very long night xox

hehe at least your daughter's hair spreads out like a peacock.. my daughter has a mohawk/mullet because the sides are short, the poof is big and the back tail is long lol

oh but just to let u know we are making progress! after every bath when her hair is still wet, grandma always sleeks her hair over to one side. yes, it'll poof back up when dried, but now (even when dried) it is starting to fall to the side.. poofy, but still better than poofy middle! you should try sleeking/taming it with your hands everyday after you wash her hair. and if all else fails, there's actually such thing as baby gel http://www.originalsprout.com/ lol

Hey, I love your daughters name..it's close to my baby's name...Alliana. Anyway after all my researching I did this weekend I've decided that I'm not going to allow any shots at all right now. I'm going to talk to her Dr. about it at her appt this week. I'm going to ask for literature on every shot that they would be giving...I want to know exactly whats in these things. I've read that on top of mercury, they actually put formaldahyde into our babies. It's pretty frightening that the peak times SIDS will occur is between 2 and 4 months. Right after vaccinations are given. The FDA and Dr.'s will all say there is no link, but I found alot of stories of mothers who swear that the shots were what changed or killed their babies. That's a risk I'm not willing to take! I know alot of people who all had their kids vaccinated (including my 2 oldest girls) and had no side effects. I'm not ruling out ever getting them done, I just think she's way to little to be putting that much poison into her body at once. I will try to let u know how her appt goes this Fri. I hope you do some research on vaccinations and the dangers.

I have been putting in the Kayro since Thurs and it works. She started to get diarreha. So we stopped the the syrup. I called the docs this morning because they said to call back and they have samples. This nurse said she would not suggest in switching formulas because of the diarreha. But the tons, tons, and tons of gas is back. I feel that it is the formula. She has not pooped since yesterday morning(early) but tons of gas all day and night. I am going to try the Similac Senstive today.

Thanks for the info on the insurance. Time is flying by. We will try the thermometer trick next time we are constipated.

I think Madison's pic reminds you of Aviana because of the hair. they both of a ton of hair.

I will let you know about the formula. Thanks for the help

I understand. My experience with doctors is that they try to control people and scare them into doing/not doing exactly what they say. Remember you are the mom...your baby will let you know what she wants. If she seems extra hungry and you want to give her some cereal, there is no harm in it.

I read your blog. If you do not mind me asking. What was going on with Aviana and the blue can of Similac. Madison is on that. She has been very fussy at night and very gassy all day. She seems to be having trouble pooping. She goes a little but tons of gas. Poop is not hard just small amounts. Doc on Thurs said said to try Kayro syrup in her bottle to help her go potty. That worked but now I have not put any in for a day and we are back to being fussy and gassey and small poops again. I did not want to have the opposite problem of diarreha. I think I need to change her to a different formula. I will call doc next week.

How is she doing on the new formula. She is so very cute. Madison is one month old today.

hey your little girl is adorable. I also got gripe water for my little girl. it is for gas and to help with hiccups. My ped told us not to give it to her so much only 2 times a day if she needs it.

Thanks alot! I was looking for it for colic, but she also has constipation so thats good to know.. I was using kyro and it doesnt work to good!
