Hello All!!
This is my second child and I am extremelty stressed and nervous. My first preganancy was a breeze, I even delivered on my exact due date. But this one is a whole different ball game, I was sick for about 2 months which I can't complain about compared to some of the other stories I have heard. However, just the other day I was told by the nurse at my Dr. office that my blood tested positive for DS of course this was just the blood test not an amnio or U/S but at that time I knew nothing about anything! So as I wait patiently for my appt. on Friday with the genetic counselor I try not to go completely insane. There have been some great moms on here who have helped me out and gave good advise. I am greatful for those comments! I now have a slightly better understanding that my child is not definitely going to have DS and the odds maybe low because of the false positives. I instantly fell on my knees to pray and I have to leave it in God's hands. It is my prayer that you all have healthy babies as well!!!! CONGRATS to You all!!!!

Went to the Dr. today for my genetic counseling and U/S. I was told that the risk of me having a DS child was 1:269 which was a 50% chance. So I decide to also do the amnio. Which was a very quick procedure. After the U/S I was told that the neck tissue looked good and the spine looked great. The baby was in breech position so I was unable to find out the gender and they were unable to get a look at the front of the face. However, the Dr. did say the profile looked good. Sooo I should here something by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week as to the preliminary results. I prayed, my mom annointed my belly with oil and I am no longer worried. I will keep you all posted. Stay Blessed.

I got the call today which was a day early that the amnio was normal meaning no signs of Down Syndrome and that my finals would be the same, but they will still call me to let me know. I am so happy that I totally relied on God and kept believing that he would come through. Although I am still high risk because of my cervix atleast there is one last thing I have to worry about. I will still be going to the specialist every 3 weeks until I give birth.................Oh & by the way it's a boy!
Well this is such a roller coaster ride but nothing has changed I still trust God over all the ultrasounds and tests. I was told in my recent appt. that my babies head is measuring small. The head is measuring at 20 weeks while the rest of the body is at 21 weeks as it should be. I was told to drink Ensure or Boost 2-3 times a day to help beefin up the baby. If there is no change by my next appt. in 3 weeks then I will have to have an MRI done. At this point they do not know what is wrong. However, on the up side my cervix looks great for 21 weeks. No worries God is in the drivers seat I am just a passenger!!! Be Blessed!

Well I just went to the specialist today for my 3 week check-up and I was told that the babies abdomen is small. 3 weeks a go I was told that the babies head was small and I was instructed to drink Ensure or Boost 2-3 times a day. I have been doing that faithfully along with praying of course. The head looks good and my cervix looks great. Now this abdomen thing pops up. My Faith has become stronger and stronger since this child has been coneived but I can't help but to sometimes feel defeated.

Greetings fellow mommies..... I had my Dr. appt. on Friday and everything is measuring back to normal almost. The dr. was very pleased with the babies abdomen size. I still have to continue to drink the Ensure but GOD is awesome this is just confirmation from Him as to what he said he would do for us if we have Faith & believe. Continue to trust Him he will never let you down!! Blessings to you all.

Well ladies I to the Dr. Friday I am now 32 weeks and 6 days. What a journey it has been. The baby is doing great and has caught up to the correct weight/size. I don't have to drink ensure anymore but will still continue to see the specialist because of that abnormal screening. Although I had the amnio and it was good they want to make sure the placenta will not give way. The Doc says that can be the other cause of an abnormal screening. I am positive everything will be okay from now on out! The God I serve is awesome, I have nothing to worry about!!! Blessings....until next time! Only 50 days to go!!!!
how beautiful!
soooo cute!!!! congrats xx
