jacobbs-girl - Thursday, 16 October Thank you to everyone that posted comments on my bouncing baby boy blog :) So just wondering how do you girls feel about his name, Jacobb Tyler Nordstrom? His daddys name is Jacobb Ray Nordstrom and he wants him to have his first name. I still need to warm up to the double b's a little more but I would like honest opinions.
kellimg (spunky) - Wednesday, 15 October What cracks me up is someone thinking that when the kid is in there acting as if it's having a damn crack seizure (IN other words, NOT rythmic movements, but SPASTIC), that they think they're hiccups!LOL
The rythimic, you can almost time them little jumps or bumps are hiccups, just like what we adults have.....so it only goes to reason taht when they are in there spazzing out, that it would be exactly that...a SPASM, due to nerve or muscles, at which time with development, they have NO control over!!! JUST like we adults who have muscle twitches and spasm (not the painful kind of cramps) but the spasms where a muscle in our body goes all crazy and jumps and jerks around from time to time.....
Geesh..sometimes I think common sense gets over ruled by pregnancy for some people!!!!
jacobbs-girl - Wednesday, 15 October Amberhope found the pants... drumroll please ..... Macys!
mynameisellie - Wednesday, 15 October Wow. Thanks very much for your very thorough answer on this!!! I feel tons better!
tammie1 - Wednesday, 15 October Thank you about my sons eyes!! He is my pride and joy right now. I guess soon I will be having 2 pride and joys huh?...LOL. It sounds like your son and mine were definitely into the same things. For the longest time my son was into Thomas, still is to an extent, and trains in general. He is really into the play sets though. His imagination is taking off and it is really cute to sit here and listen to him making his characters "talk". He just recently discovered all his Bob the Builder toys that he's had forever and has been playing with those in his sand box. I was amazed with the V-smile though. He is learning so much from just playing these little games. We are going to get him the new one that is out, the one where he has to move to get the joy stick to work (kind of like the WII). I personally do not want him having "real" video games yet. I like the ones where he is learning while he is playing. Whats cool is that he doesn't even realize that he is learning. He is just having fun. What I like is that they sell games up to the age of 8, so he can be playing this for a few years to come yet. We are also considering getting him the smart cycle. I like that fact that he wouldn't just be sitting in front of the tv. I am overweight, way overweight and I want him to grow up being much more active than I was as a child, which so far he is. I don't want to say no to video games, but if he is going to play them then I want him to learn while he is doing it. Gosh, I'm sorry, I tend to ramble a LOT!!....LOL
tammie1 - Tuesday, 14 October my little boy was 3 last year for Christmas. He pretty much told us what he wanted...LOL. I just used sales circulars and let him browse through and he picked out things he liked. If he picked out something more than once, I knew it was a hit. For Christmas, he got a little laptop, but honestly he is only getting into using that now. He got a Thomas pop up tent, lots of Cars from the movie. Video games for his V-Smile and we got him the hand held version of the v-smile and he LOVED that. He got a train table and more thomas which he still plays with. Kids don't really care if all they get are the things they enjoy. My son totally LOVED all the cars and trains he got. They have lots of cool Diego, backyardigan, wonderpet (don't know if your son watches these) playsets out right now as well that aren't real expensive but super cute. that may be an idea as well. I am sure I could come up with a million and 1 ideas, because I am never lacking on ideas for my little guy for some reason, basically because he wants everything he sees on tv, even if it's for an 8 year old...LOL. If you need anymore suggestions, I am sure I could come up with a few more
kah1675 - Tuesday, 14 October i have had carpal tunnel. numbness and tingling it sucks.
I have this tendinitis crap that makes my hands and wrists hurt I cant do anything.
2xmama - Tuesday, 14 October Hi Nicole I have a 4 year old and last year got him a jeep that he can ride on. He loved it also some play tools. He still likes to go in the garage and work on his jeep. This year he is in to video games nintendo ds and wii. Those are fun too. Hope that helps
Tastiecake731 - Tuesday, 14 October Hey there, I still have the problems with my hands and have to wear the braces on both of my wrists at night. Sounds like the baby is sitting on your nerve though. You could try the braces or even just elevating your arm, that helps me too. Other than that I'm not sure of what you can do. I do know that it typically goes away after the pregnancy. Hope this helps.
