This is our first child, and to be honest we're both scared out of our minds, but super excited at the same time.

Isn't it nice when you get a full nights sleep?! My hubs has decided to take the baby downstairs when he wakes up at 1am and lets me sleep until the morning on Friday and Saturday nights. It's so nice! A day at the spa would be lovely! That was a nice surprise!

I just had a nurse over and found out that the baby lost 5 ounces! My breasts aren't producing enough milk. I have tried EVERYTHING! I am just going to have to go to formula. It sucks because I am a huge breastfeeding advocate. Go figure! I know exactly what you mean by a fussy baby! Who ever said newborns sleep 14-18 hours obviously didn't have a baby! We finally figured out a way to get him to sleep at night but days are all about entertaining him! The kids are wonderful with him. They just love him to pieces! Are you staying home with the baby or do you have to go back to work? Luckily, I can stay home for a while and then continue my schooling. My husband goes out to sea quite often, so that will be a challenge but that's live of a Navy wife!

I can't believe how fast time is flying too! It's crazy to think we were just complaining about being preggo! My little man has definitely put us to the test. He is a high maintenance baby to say the least. BFing has been a challenge too. We just started sleeping for longer than 30 minutes on Friday. I love new techniques that actually work! Your little one is gorgeous! I could have never slept either if someone was watching my baby. It's a mother's instinct to want to soothe her baby if they are crying. Like you said, no rest for the weary for a long time! My oldest is eight and I have always said I haven't slept since 1998!...lol. Hope to hear from you soon!

I love the name Wyatt!! What a handsome name! I am happy you finally had your little man. Crazy how we try to plan delivery and then it never goes the way we expect it to. I can't believe how fast time flies after we have our babies. Sebastian is 2 weeks old today!! I am floored! He has his 2 week check up today and I am so anxious to see how much he weighs. We had a visiting nurse come to the house and she showed us a great way to breast feed him and he gained 2 ounces before our eyes! He was 7lbs, 11 oz last Thursday. I am hoping for at least an 8 pounder today :). I hope you recover quickly. My stitches put a huge damper on my recovery and I got real blue because I couldn't jump right back into the swing of things. I still get the blues but if I get out of the house the same time I have them, they seem to pass without a problem. How is your little one sleeping? Keep in touch. It's nice talking to the girls we were pregnant with and sharing what we are going through. Can't wait to see pics of your little man. XOXO

Finally some progress! I am 4 cm's dilated. She tried to break my water during my exam but couldn't because the baby's head was too high. So, she told me to come back at 4 after the residents leave and she will break my water then. Of course considering his head came down a bit more in the pelvis. So, hopefully this is the day I will have my little one. She stripped everything that was left in my cervix and I have been getting really strong contractions. Also, she pulled my bag of waters through my cervix into my vaginal canal! It was the weirdest thing to feel that. She also felt his hand by his head. This should be an interesting next 24 hours. Wish me luck that I don't get sent home! You might see me on the news if I do...lol. How are you feeling? Hopefully you'll be having your little one soon too. If I don't talk to you before hand, good luck with your delivery. I'll write when I get home. TTYS

I have never heard of a doctor saying he didn't want to introduce any new germs! Sounds like a lazy doc to me! Last night I felt that same stabbing pain. It was so weird that I had my hubby check to see what it was. I have been crampy all day but no signs of bloody show, extra discharge, NOTHIN'! It's extremely frustrating! I'm glad you have an induction date! My hubs keeps threatening to steal a cytotek pill and insert it in me in the middle of the night..lol. I'll be joining you this evening in week 40. Woohoo..we'll be neighbors ;)

OMG..I'm bored out of my mind! I am getting so tired of this waiting crap! I concur with the showers! Any time I feel uncomfortable I take a hot shower and it seems to help. Maybe that's my problem! Maybe if I feel uncomfortable, I shouldn't take hot showers and it might amount to something! :) How are you feeling today? Did the hospital give you some meds for your back pain? I haven't felt anything since I fell asleep this morning @ 6am! I bet you are equally frustrated considering this is your due date today! Did they give an induction date to you if you go a certain point over the due date?

You poor thing! I hate teases! I am up right now because I was having contractions and thought it was slowly progresing. Well, here it is almost 4am and nothing once again! Ugghh...I am so frustrated! Bring it on already! I hope you feel better! It sounds like a kidney infection :(

Sounds like you guys had a pretty intense day!! Scary too! Hopefully, you'll be more dilated tomorrow when you go to see the doctor; sounds like there's a possibility of that little man making his debut on St.Paddy's day after all!!
