Greetings All!!!

My name is Nique. I am a 23 year old residing in Washington, DC, expecting my first little one on June 10, 2008. It's a boy and his name will be Khi Aaron Taylor....

3/18/2008- Ok, Guess its time to start my pregnancy log. I was feeling a little left out, as I read all of your beautiful thoughts and felt like I needed to go ahead and start mine. Not playing catch up, though, Just starting from the present. Yesterday, I had my 28 week check-up. Khi is doing well. Growing at 2 lbs 6 oz, the sonographer said that his legs are long, I dont see how when mommy is 4'9" and daddy is 5'6", maybe we reaching wayyyyy back in the gene pool for these long legs. She also said he was growing right on schedule, measuring up to my 27 weeks and 6 days. I AM HAPPY!! He definitley feels fine in there, the way he tumbles around all day doing the backstroke.

3/24/08- Good Easter Monday morning. We are doing just fine. Khi is kicking and moving and it feels so good! I think I may have a little football player inside me! I was laying on the bed yesterday and my little sisters were just watching my tummy as they often do, and he moved and made my tummy do this wave thing and it freaked them out! ( They're 13 and 15) and they said " eewww" lol. It was funny as hell. I guess Khi was saying you looking at me, I'm going to give you something to look at! lol. The only major complaint I have is these damn leg cramps. My right leg cramps so bad after I have been sitting for for about 20 mins. So I find myself getting up every 15 mins or so or trying to readjust my work chair. I have a foot rest under my desk at work, but it's not helping that much! My job went on a corporate all staff meeting in Hershey, PA and we rode the bus up, which was killer on me. I went to school in Pittsburgh, so I am used to the 4-5 hour rides back and forth, but for some reason ( I believing its Khi) I could not do this 2.5 hour ride to Hershey. My butt, legs, and everything else was so numb! I was twisting and turning every 30 mins , attempting to get comfortable. It was hell. Finally I would fall asleep, only to wake up tingling numb. No more long rides for me.

Countdown is really on...11 weeks to go!

4/9/08- Hey Hey Ladies. Time for an update! Me and the man (The Baby Daddy) went for our check up this morning. I am so glad that I have 9 weeks or less to go! The doc said that Khi was measuring fine and she said because I am a high risk pregnancy (blood pressure/GD) that I have to go starting every week and that they will do a limited ultrasound to make sure Khi and his placenta are growing good. I still feel a little small for 31 weeks, but I am carrying him so high that its crazy! He's all up in my tata's. lol... I am just so happy to finally be on a single digit countdown!! My baby shower is the 19th and I cant wait! I think I am going to have a big turn out- I invited 70 people! lol.. Well kiss kiss to all my lovely ladies. I guess I'll be updating this weekly, since I'll be going to the doctor's weekly.

4/18/2008-Hello my beautiful pregnant Divas! I just got in to work after coming from a beautiful 32 week doctor's visit. Let's see.. Mr. Khi is head down, he's weight 4.5 lbs, measuring right on schedule at 32 weeks, except for his little tummy which is 33 weeks (with his fat self!) He was kicking and moving, Dr. said that he got an 8/8 on his fetal movement test! I saw his hair and he was sucking his thumbs and fingers! So cute! The tech tried to get me a profile shot, but Mr. Man wouldn't move his hands..they must taste really good to him! lol. To me: I did good. I've gained 2.5 lbs in one week! I had to say to myself..."ok now tuffy! slow down!" lol... So that makes the total 23.5 lbs of pregnancy weight so far. My blood pressure was great, after they took it for a third time and I was laying on my side. The Dr. told me to take time throughout the day to lay down on my side and that we keep my blood pressure down. No protein or sugar in the urine, either! I am just so ecstatic! Now, my baby shower is tomorrow, 4/19/08! I have this huge fear that whenever I through an event, party, etc.. that no one will show up! lol. I was trying to count in my head last night how many people said they were coming vs how many said they werent. My family's throwing it, so only they know the final count. I am not even allowed to come until 4:00 and it starts at 3:00! lol. My mom said she doesnt want me worrying. But I am happy! I go back to the doctor on the 2nd. I guess thats enough rambling! 4/21/2008-Baby Shower was a huge success!! We got a lot of gifts and ALL of our big ticket items, crib, changing table, rocker, stroller, and car seat! YES! Khi got a whole lot of onsies, clothes, blanket, etc. I just have small things to get like my breast pump, ( Lord help me on the breastfeeding..lol) mattress pad and bedding, baskets for his changing table, pampers, bottles, etc. I should still be having the shower at my job too. So we'll see what I get from here. I am on the grind now! With 5-7 weeks left, I have to get his nursery together and buy the remainder of things I need. I posted a few pictures up from the shower for you guys to see. The site was getting on my nerves because I could only upload on at a time, instead of the whole batch, so I just picked the ones I thought were cute! Kisses to you all and tell the babies I said hello and I love them!

5/2/2008- Hello Beautiful Mommies and Mommies To Be... Khi and I had his 34 week check up this morning. Man is this a fat baby! He is already 5lbs 11oz, and I have 6 weeks to go! I am so scared..lol He's going to be like 8-9 lbs. 2 weeks ago he was 4.5 lbs! My doctor said she's going to let nature do its course...If he comes after now, she's not going to stop labor. She did say she's thinking about inducing around 39 weeks, which will be the first week of June. She wants to avoid a C-Section and said at times when we induce and my cervix is long and closed, it can cause complications in which I end up having a C-section. I dont know if my 4'9" body can push an 9lb baby out! He was so cute on the sonogram, balling his little face up and he had his hands in a fist near his face like he was boxing...ok Tyson! lol I go back next Friday, the 9th for my weekly visit.
